I'm sure he's the one writing the musical arrangements of each piece, telling what instrument he wants to play when, which instruments will be playing together and which will not. If you ever tried to coordinate 40-50 musicians and make them sound that good together, I'm sure it's not easy.

@alzire1 You are 1000000% right! Arranging is almost as hard, if not more difficult than composing. To write an arrangement at the quality level that James Last does is a major pain in the ass, but the result speaks for itself.

James Last is literally the last of the great arrangers out there, and I am very happy that there are tons of recordings of his works!

The reason the bell is bent on the trumpet is to project the sound better. So you dont have the hold the bell of the horn up, cause less strain on your neck.
