not tryint to sound like an ass but didja know after 6 months the females pelvic bones fuse together, therefore it may cause complication in Cavie birth. My old guinea pig she was 8 and she died b/c she could not pass her young. Its somthing the vet told me... I did sum research and it seems tht it checks out. Not trying to sound like a know it all, but its just some food for thought.

That is true, yet if she gave birth before 8 months, assuming it has not been too long since, a birth after 8 to 10 months is usually fine.

yeah, i had one, it gave birth (a girl^^) and dies later (maybe after 2 month) but we had a small rabbit (susi) and they live together. after maybe 4 years my rabbit dies nd my guinea pig was alone.

my friend had 2 guinea pigs, but they dont want more. 1 year later, one of my friend pig dies.

so, now is my guinea pig by my friend and is happy ^^

yes. I keep washing it. It was as if he just wasn't kept clean. it is getting better, but I must keep his cage clean and dry.  I actually put vaseline on it to help the dead skin fall off. he's okay now and looks healthy. But he sure is OLD! He's such a good boy!

Can you neuter guinea pigs? becauz i just got a female 1 for christmas and we found a really pretty 1 for her that we WOULD get but the prob is...., it's a boy and we dont want Zooey (my new Pig) to have babies. By the way, cute pigs! ;)

Hazelnut, unfortunately, showed aggressive behavior (dominance issue) and was adopted by a good home. She lives alone without any other pets. Coco was purchased shortly thereafter and she and Peanut are doing awesome together, however, Coco was purchased VERY young and got used to Peanut as she matured. Peanut is five years old, so he's really enjoying have a friend. Thanks for asking!!!
