  • Len...great collection of Vids.....

But for this particular video the round brown shells of fried dough that can be seen in the glass case at the end are what are called Panipuris.....

Most of the Video focussed on what is called Bhelpuri though...The woman to the right of your frame was handing out the Panipuris though.

  • Thanks much for the clarifications. Love the power of youtube and when folks like yourself bring the details with which I am unfamiliar or when I've said the wrong location or translation or something.

  • were you bold enuf to try them urself?

  • @BihariDeshBhakt That's not Bhelpuri!! Its called Chatpate, something that corresponds Bhelpuri. The sauce used in Chatpate is less sweeter and more tangier than Bhelpuri Sauce.

  • Well....this Video actually shows how to make Bhelpuri (meaning spicy Puffed rice.)

The initial ingredients are finely diced onions, green chillies, fine slices of boiled potatoes, some spices: sweetened tamarind paste, Lemon Juice, Chaat Masala (can get at any Indian store.) and some crispy things like roasted peanuts and a table spoon of spicy Indian Mixture.(Snack ...not a spice.)

    contd..

  • Of course with all this you throw in a handful of puffed rice and stir the whole thing well..

Goes down real well if you have a cup of tea (milked and sugared ) with it.

  • wow that was amazing
