  • Fox brty 2-11. Sgt Martinez

    97- 01

  • Pull string go boom

  • how hard is it to get this job? I want to do this when I enlist. Any info is appreciated

  • @TheTofuDrifter

You don't pick the job buddy. Your M.O.S picks you (Military Occupation Speciality) so you gotta take the test they give you and what you get. Is your M.O.S.

    Good luck

  • Can someone plz tell me what exactly is the job of the cannonier 0811. Hoorah.

  • damn I can actually see the round! I can't choose wether I want to do this or a Abrams crew man

  • this is epic i leave for basic inless than a month

  • im trying to decide on whether to join as a combat engineer or artillery. any adivce?

  • @AmericanGMS

combat engineers MOS is on its way out, so you'll more than likely have to switch soon anyways and go through another school, go with arty, ft. sill blows but when you leave, you'll laugh about all the bullshit.. just like boot camp

  • @wakeboardingguy6 why is it on its way out, they need combat engineers

  • lol it's all basic, There is a reason marines go to MCT because they left a basic form of training.. lol silly. you are probably 12 and wouldn't make it in the Marines anyway.....oh and change your huggies.

  • lol is all basic, There is a reason marines go to MCT because they left a basic form of training.. lol silly. you are probably 12 and wouldn't make it in the Marines anyway.....oh and change your huggies.

  • There is no difference between marine artillery and army artillery, they get trained the same way with the same methods at an army base. I never got why the Marines are thought to be so much better, maybe more diciplined, but I don't think they are more skilled

  • I leave for boot camp in Parris Island on june 13th, then head here. I cant wait!

  • do 0811 have to be good at math?

  • @revngeWAR once you take the ASVAB you'll know what jobs you're qualified to have

  • @revngeWAR

no, thats 0844, fire direction control

  • awesome video, my son is in the same thing, thanks for the video

  • My nephew just started there today..This video would be great with no music..

  • 12 mile sniper system.

  • i use to go to school in lawton you could hear the artillery from every where... good times :)

  • with artillery, the bodies wont be hittin the floor (in one peice = )

  • this brings back memories. I went thru cannoncocker school there in 94 and hated that place except for the tickets we used to get from the cabbies to get free beer at the strip clubs... Every one of my instructors retired either SgtMajor's or MasterGuns. I then went on to the Fleet for 8 years in arty and had a love-hate relationship with it. Like all of the USMC, tons of BS but I was also proud to walk around as a member of 10th/12th Marines. Saw the world behind the 19'er8. SEMPER FIDELIS

  • I trained with you marine fucks at Ft. Sill in 99, we always ran PT with the marines when we had a battalion run. more marines fell out ! HAHAHHAH! you all think youre better but we do the exact same fucking job. MLRS is the real KING OF BATTLE!

  • @ninjafatballz I was in Marine HIMARS (same shit as GMLRS, exact same rockets) And it sucks. Can't even hit somebody shooting mortars at you, reload every 6 rockets and it takes minutes to do it and clearing airspace to shoot takes so long it's almost pointless. GMLRS is gay, cannons rocks!

  • @hutchylovesbaseball fair enough i suppose...

  • is USMC artillery a cool MOS? Anything anybody regrets?

  • @GitzMeShiggles17 I got it. 0800 and 1800. Charlie Echo. Im going to like it. Pretty much, you shoot shit, blow shit up, and hang out. They have a video of them doing it in the field

  • The tow hitch looks like a bayonet

  • AT 2:12 you can see Mount Scott in the background, it is the mountain to the right of the tube and just to the left of the Marine on the right of the gun. From Mount Scott, I have spent many a day watching Ft Sill Artillery firing on this range. You can hear the delayed sound of the guns firing and see the shell impacting on the range. It is Cool! If you ever get the chance, go up there and experience this for your self.

  • I was one of the first E. M. to take over F.O. job use to be an officer job, my first unit, we had LT's for squad leaders, and a Captain for Platoon SGT. All from West Point, yeah it sucked, but it was the best training, I went a military high school, and had F.O. training. Well in a couple of months, I was able to call fire for effect, after 2 or 3 rounds, always, were most needed 6-8 rounds to adjust. No laser range finders, just pure map reading, direction, and blast to sound.

  • USMC Sniper: One Shot, One Kill.

USMC Artillery: One Shot, Twelve Kills.

  • @ESPGuitars0224 USAF F-15 Bomb run: One Bomb, 100 or more kills.

  • @mcmurdy1980 True-When you can get them out of their ready rooms and into the air. And when they hit the target.....When I need CAP, I call the Marine, then Navy fliers. I only call Air Farce if everyone else is busy. I like my ordnance to fall on the enemy's heads, not my own people.

  • @ESPGuitars0224 or more lol

  • @ESPGuitars0224 hell man...in the army and the marines artillery gets more kills than that

  • @ paintball1105 what does MOS stand for?

  • @ 5amdrunk

    MOS is Military Occupational Speciality

    basically, MOS = job

  • i cant imagine how loud those fuckin things are

  • what is the name of this song?

i like the howitzer but im going for the himars .

  • decent video. however this is the most over used song on youtube

  • hey when you guys blow stuff up do you ever get confirmention back on what you blew up and the body count by any chance

  • this is my future mos. ,got a quick question , Which job out of artillery is easy ?

  • @lilcruser if u want something easy go join the navy. Nothing is easy in the Marines, everything is a challenge. Your going to get tested don't fuck up or you'll get turtle fuck'd! lol Good luck!

  • @salinster F the NAvy bro. o, im already in Artillery

  • i just graduated that last week 2-10

  • sick i leave for basic this coming july and this is my MOS

  • I believe you mean, " I leave for boot camp this coming july."

The army goes to basic training. There's nothing basic about Marine Boot Camp

  • And in the Marines it called a fighting hole not a "Fox hole" lol.

  • @tim54481 Still any Marine that goes to AIT for artillery goes to Fort Sill, OK. An Army post. 5 miles from hell and 10 miles from water.

    King of Battle!

    VFWFFVFW

    We are all brothers.

  • @tim54481 just be carefull dude 99% of marines become alcoholics subtance abusers and abuse thier spousies when they leave the corp

  • @Freepepsi42 thats a load of shit

  • @Agrippa63 it's true

  • @Freepepsi42 my fathers a marine i have friends who are marines none are like that i fully intend to go into the marines and im not like that its a load of shit and an insult to those fine men and women

  • @Agrippa63 i have tons of family that live in the states that were marines some ended up like that some did not on average that is the statistic from the most recent study it could of gone up or down or my statement could be out dated. the reason why is that my uncle who i got it from worked for the marine corp during veinaim. it could be diffrent. i am not insulting the men and women in the corp. the fact is that the amount of people that turn out like that is very high you can belive it or not

  • @Freepepsi42 there is a big difference between Vietnam and now a different culture and different standards but even then i still think its a load of shit i know dozens od marines none are as you described

  • @Agrippa63 by 1970 there were 1 million troops in veitnaim that included the draft putting 10s of millions of men into the ine of fire for the marines. it might not be that high but it is a high percentage. and at that time almost all soliders army marines. navy used weed or other drugs. people fragged thier officers and polls for that stuff don't interveiw everyone it was like 80% of the people the studied became that it does not apply to everyone. it's a problem in all militarys. like suicide

  • @Freepepsi42 how your story changes is interesting the fragging of officers was done because they where incompetent not because the men where on drugs and id look up the size of the marine corp because your stats are grossly inaccurate

  • @Agrippa63 if you don't want to accept that it is a huge problem and that over 50% became like that it's fine but when you join you will find out the truth. nuff said

  • @Freepepsi42 and now your saying its just over 50 again a load of shit

  • @Agrippa63 it is true if u like it or not that is a reason that alot of marines don't re-inlist it's over 50percent the day you give me a actuall percentage with link for the source is the day i stop thinking you just a upset dude trying to not belive something that is true and stops beliving it can't happin in such a "great" country

  • @Agrippa63 it's really up to you. it's not a load of shit even ask your dad if he served how many of his friends in the corp turned out like that becoming drug abusers alcohol abusers or end up taking out their anger and turama from being in a war zone out on their wife and family

  • @tim54481 That statement made you sound like a dumbass. It is "Basic",they teach you how to properly shoot a rifle, how to use firearms & do physical fitness training. That sounds "basic" to me. Just cause Army Basic Combat Training has standards that aren't much lower, doesn't give you a right to disrespect them. Cause that would be disrespect to all our Veterans & entire Armed Forces.

  • @USMCjunior117 Calm down. I've been told by COUNTLESS Marines that It's bootcamp, not basic training. it's a pride thing. Two of my very, very close friends are going into the Army. One is 19D cavalry scout, one is 13D artillery, but we smack talk each other all the time. It's not disrespectful to say that the Marines are a caliber above the Army, which they are. if they weren't they wouldn't still be around. They exist, because they are elite

  • @Squadomatick Me myself is planning on becoming a Marine. But my point is Marines & Army do the same shit! And if the Corps is so much better than them, why do they do smaller jobs with less Taliban in the combat zones? and I hope you do not compare Rangers to Marine Grunts, thats retarded, not saying that you do.

  • @USMCjunior117 They wouldn't allow Marines to attend Ranger School if Marines were as elite as Rangers. But, when it comes down to it, your standard Army grunt is not trained as hard as a Marine grunt. They are of a different caliber, excluding all that special shit the Army has

  • @Squadomatick Army & Marines are two different things! Cannot be compared in other words. But when it comes down to Grunt vs Grunt, they both have equal kills, but Army beats Marines in intellectual training, and Marines beats Army in training length & tougher POGs.

  • @USMCjunior117 "intellectual training"? you're playing the "Marines are dumb but tough" stereotype? soooooo false. The Marine Corps infantry and Army infantry are BOTH tactically brilliant on the battlefield. The Army isn't "smarter" that's bullshit. Go and learn about how the Marine Corps trains before you post stuff like that, brother. Jarhead is a name only

  • @Squadomatick Not dumb,I meant Army has more schools available to train them intellectually, like foreign languages & pathfinding,Army even trains some Marines like Force Recon and others for their MOS's.

  • @USMCjunior117 Nooo problemo, brother. No problem at all. I'm just tryin' to tell ya. Marines might use Army bases for training (like Artillery at Ft. Sill, or engineering at Ft. Leanard Wood), but Marines are there training the Marines to do the job, not Army.

  • @Squadomatick Aye aye. But I still am having a hard time choosing between Army & Marines..

  • @USMCjunior117 They're both great branches if you want combat

  • @Squadomatick Nevermind,I get what your saying,my apologies.

  • @Squadomatick Ok I'm gonna have to disagree. While the Marines are great and all, they are not a caliber above the Army, and sorry to ruin it for you, but they are not "elite" either. The elite are Special Operations and Special Forces. For every one example you use to brag about the Marines, the Army has one to counter it. And therefore neither one is better. And after looking at your profile I see that you have already pissed people off with your arrogance in the past. Damn Marine Poolee.

  • @ugadawg92 yea i apologized to that soldier. I started a fight but didn't mean to

  • @Squadomatick And always capitalize the "S" in Soldier, just like you would for Marine.

  • @ugadawg92 i'm no Marine, i'm just a poolee, so i have no right to brag or any of that shit. however, let me say this: an Army General would never be called a soldier, an Admiral would never be called a sailor, and an Air Force General would never be called an airman, but the Commandant of the Marine Corps is damn proud to be called a Marine!

    'nuff said

  • @cheesesteak93 Well the funny thing about that is, the reason Marines say they were Marines, where most Soldiers say, I was in the Army, is because of the name of the branch...The Marine Corps. It's the only branch where their name is in the branch name. For example, if the Army was called the Soldier Corps, then of course they would say I was a Soldier. If you just say I was a Soldier, Sailor, or Airman most civilians don't know the difference, so you have to specify. USMC can just say Marine.

  • @ugadawg92

i disagree with this, the respect, espirit de corps, discipline of a Marine surpasses all other branches, there is a reason there are far fewer Marines than members of any other branch, and yes, while each has its own special operations force, Marines are leaps and bounds ahead of others from the start. in the 13 week boot camp, Marines are already trained to about 80% of what an Army Green Beret has to go through.

in the end we all work together and help each other out

  • @wakeboardingguy6 There are far fewer Marines because the Marine Corps mission requires less bodies. Is the Coast Guard more highly trained than the Marines? It has less people.

I almost laughed when I read the second part though. Marines are not even trained close to Army Special Forces, especially not 80%. Green Berets are much better trained, and much better overall. You're trying to tell me every Marine, male or female, comes close to Army SF training(which lasts 2 years). No...

  • @wakeboardingguy6 Sorry to burst your bubble, but having more uniform rules doesn't make you more elite.

  • this damn song is so overused. damn people can you choose a different song there are so many more to choose from bodies

  • The M198 howitzer is British made but has never seen service with the Royal Artillery who chose the Light Gun.

  • it was a nightmare when these first came into service. Parts were very limited(and fragile). Artymechs didn't know how to fix them. lack of technical training. it shouldn't be as bad now i hope.

  • the ideas behind the gun are cool but it does break alot and is expensive hell a castle nut cost 275 and it was about as big as a golfball and a magazine is 4k and its a bitch to take apart from the 2131 side of the house

  • I thought Ft. Sill was for the ARMY, Marines train their as well?

  • Any Marine who has to train in the08 - - MOS field has to go to MARCODET FT Sill. We live in the same are as the 2/80th FA. It sucks because it's like 4th phase recruit training, there is no overnight libbo and even on weekends you still had to wake up at the ass crack of dawn because Gunny Owens said so. The only thing to do in town was go hang out at the Mall in Lawton and avoid the under age girls. I ran into my instructor in Fallujah, big world small Marine Corps.

  • Marine artillery does

  • Yeah the corps trains there for artillery, and they have for a long time. When I went through the F.A.T.C. they were there, and that was back in '98. Matter of fact, when I was in the NCOIC was a marine corps gunny.

  • Apparently they still don't teach you boot bitches how to spell at Ft. Sill. End of Mission fuck head!

  • Haha, Fire For Effect... im out here right now, FT. Sill sucks horibly.. 0844...

  • I am not so sure about that. Seeing as how the majority of marines still in have never shot the M198, and myself being one who has shot the M198 on a regular basis and the M777 aswell, Both Howitzers have its perks and its cons. The M777 is self explanitory, it can be layed in a matter of seconds, has a large number of hydrolic parts, and it is incredibly light. However, it constantly breaks down and has to be manually pumped for the damn thing to load. The M198 is heavy and slow, but unbreakabl

  • the best howitzer there is
