  • Wow, thanks Bernard. I didnt think they were that good:-)

  • It's so interesting to see the old architecture mixed in with the new. Daryl, it's such an alien landscape to me. It's beautiful though. You are a great photographer! Hugs!

  • WOW thses are great pics

How many did you end up takeing

  • Thanks Irene! I think the total was more than 700. It was over a gig on my memory card.

  • Cool pics Daryl! At 1:40 do you have any idea what those grey rectangular areas on that peninsula on the left were? It looked like there were about 16 of them. They kinda looked like solar panels but I don't think that's what the were.

  • That is Chicagos water treatment facility. They do kinda look like solar panels:-)

  • That was awesome, Darrell.

  • Thanks Becky:-)

  • IM DIGGING IT!!

    Wonderful shots.

  • Thanks Jessie:-)

  • Simply awesome! :-)

  • It was, thanks Megan!

  • Very nice. I like the solitary bird on the silver ball looking thing. What was the building that looks like it has the structural support on the outside? I like that too. You have an eye for getting good shots. I hope you post more. Do you have anywhere you upload them to like flickr or something?

  • Thanks Dave:-) The bird on the Bean was the shot that I KNEW no one else was taking that day. The one at 2:17 is the John Hancock Tower, is that it? I have a few more pics to post from the last day and maybe a little video if its not too crappy. I havent loaded any of my pics to a website but I will gladly send you any that you like. Do you think I could sell a calender of my pics for the southtube fundraiser? Ive been trying to come up with something to help out.

  • Beautiful photos Daryl! I love that bean thing! Thanks, Ang

  • Thanks Ang! The Bean was fun but I wish I had gone earlier in the day when there were less people around.

  • Again, Gorgeous Pics Daryl. =)

Now that you have taken us to Chicago, I hope you take lots of pics in Chattanooga to share with us. I unfortunately cannot attend this year, so would love to see the sights of Tennessee through your beautiful photography. =)

    ~Kim

  • Thanks Kim, there is one more small slide show from the last morning yet to come. I took over 500 pics in Chicago, I think i will take at least 1000 in Chattanooga. Y'all are gonna be sick of me by the time all the videos are posted!

  • D thank you for this we really enjoyed it just as we did the first one. You were so kind to take the time to put this together to share with everyone!

    Hugs xoxoxx

  • You arent retarded, the tubes must have a bug, again!

  • Ooooh I really liked the clock at 1:00.... really cool art pieces too... You must have had a great time:) Thanks for posting:) jackie

  • The clock is outside Maceys dept store on State Street but it was made for Marshal Fields Dept Store as near as I can tell in the late 1800s. It was a great mini vacation and I am going back as soon as I can:-)

  • Daryl! Those pictures are amazing! You have an awesome eye for photography! Loved it! :)

  • Why thank you my brother:-) I have enjoyed taking pics since I was a little kid, its much easier now that everything is digital.

  • 3rd video in a row that won't load in.

    *giving up for the day*

  • Its worth it to try again:-)

  • I'll be there in less than 2 weeks. Well, at O'Hare, then my son is driving me down to where we live. :D

Oh I love that park where the water falls from the brick wall. The one with the faces that change and the water comes out of the mouth! haha so strange! My granddaughter loves going there.

  • The waterfall/changing faces thing is in Millennium Park just across from the Bean. I wish we had gone earlier in the day so I could have gotten pics without the masses being around. You have to snap off a few pics next time you are there and share them with us!

  • Beautiful pics again, especially those from the water. Loved that lighthouse :) Did you do any video at all? The pictures a gorgeous. Superb quality.

  • This trip was the true test of my little Pentax, I am officially in love with it :-) I got a little video but its on the crap cam and still in the car, I may get two more videos out of what I have.

  • the whole part between 1:32 to 1:56 was my favorite, great batch.

very cool videos, do we get part 3?

  • Those were taken from the John Hancock Tower, we spent several hours at the top just looking at the clouds float by. I have a few more pics from the last morning that I should have up tomorrow sometime:-)

  • Great photos once again. It all makes me want to revisit :)

  • Thanks Andy, I am sure to go again soon!

  • I love going to Millenium park when I am there, love that big kidney bean thing :-)

  • The park was so much fun but I wish we had gotten there earlier in the day, it was crawling with tourists;-)

  • kinda eerie music but i like it.

wtf is that at 0:35 ????

    -toMMy-

  • The music is Kitaro "Traditional Japanese Drums", I love it! Google "the Bean" in Millennium Park Chicago. That shot was taken from the very center underneath the Bean. Its cool as shit!
