how can u let the artic cat beat you, its not even geared for speed as much as the can am, a ton of power doesnt mean its faster, it all has to do with the gear ratio.
It's not a500 renagade for one and there is different gearing between the outlander and a renagade due to that the renagade is a crossover and the outlander is a utility quad
@harescrambler7 the gearing? then just for the fun of it, tell me each difference in the gear ratio between the Renegade and the Outlander. Only there clutch are different, what the hell do you know!!
The CC war with stock quads is just funny. I have a 700cc v-twin. Stock it is good for about 49hp @ the crank or about 33 hp at the wheels. That is just shameful. You can get kits for my motor, basically pistons and cams that are good for 100+ at the crank. At the manufacturing level a 12:1 piston is no more expensive than a 9.5:1 piston and an aggressive cam grind is no more expensive than a mild grind. A 951cc hemi head v-twin making less than 70 hp is just cc's for the sake of having cc's.
Gotta admit, those hams do pretty good for 800s. The 950 cats would do ALOT better if they weren't so restricted. They have a smaller throttle body than the 700s. And U can't advance the timing on a kitty. Still lov my kittys though. I bleed green fo sho/
@BeRegal455 intake is also extremely restrictive, and they are detuned threw the computer from over 100 hp the the 65-72hp year dependant, they figured the axel/differential couldn't handle the abuse. and that was just computer stuf, if you were to do a wilder porting package and a wilder cam you could plus bored throttle botties and freer intake and exhaust, youd be into the 120-130hp range, and then theres a swedish companies thats making turbo kits for these, and there 130hp wit no other mods
theres one thing that always get me pump up, how does a 800cc that is 762lbs dry and has 71 hp lose or ties to a 1000cc that is about 800-900lbs dry and has 63hp , can someone tell me whats the problem in that, oh and also Brp are the most advance atv out there so.... yep, I say that if a 1000cc TC can beat a 800cc Brp , well I call that bullshit
@Maxomath i can tell u why cause hp means nothing its all how u ride it and u can have a a four wheeler with 100 hp and it can get beat by a 80 hp one its all about the top out speed is just like if u got a car that is pushing five hundred hp and mine is pushing three but urs shuts off at 90mph and mine does it at 120 i am going to beat u depending on how far we race. you know what i mean man
@bighunter201 I know what do you mean but the thing is that the Renegade top-speed is at 130 and a stock T-C is also 130, so in this case the hp would get involved so as the torque per feet that you get out of the engine
@MrSeanzy are you fucking stupid, I didn't say mph, if it would be such a high number as that for a stock quad, wouldn't you be smart enough to realize that it would be in Km/h
Damn fainly someone else realizes this too- if you were to put a damn 5 speed gear case in the AT it would hit 160 easy- I've seen and designed parts for these motors and also their competion like can am and polaris you realize the magintude of these bike you know that these are the top bikes on the market compared to any other
lol its so funny to watch all these brand loyalists bash other brands.
My "piece of shit" 1994 sportsman 400 has never broken anything other then the starter(brushes wore down), front struts, and inner tie rods. 15 years and normal maintenance items wore out. Wow thats a piece of shit alright.
you people need to just shut the fuck up about how polaris "always breaks". Your full of shit. Everyone hates on polaris for some reason, when 95% of any problems come the idiot behind the handle bar.
Not necessarily. I've seen so many polaris ATV's break on the trails more so than any other manufacturer. Especially the sportsman 500 H.O.'s for whatever reason. Anything from belt issues to blown engines (perhaps user error but you never know). People hate on them because they break, and they break alot.
how many polaris atv's do you see out on the trails though? the sheer number of polaris on the trails dictates you will see more with problems because there are more of them.
Also since polaris is so popular it is a big attraction to new buyers who dont know how to maintain anything. Almost all atv failures polaris or otherwise is because they are not properly maintained.
To be honest, and fair to your response not that many. I see a lot of Honda's, Arctic Cats, Suzuki's and Yamaha's, more of the latter actually, everyone and their damn mother owns a grizzly. But in all fairness most of the polaris ATV's I do see are either being towed or trail repairs. Perhaps due to the noobie buying attraction that you've mentioned above. I can honestly say I have never once had my Honda TRX350 break, nor my 660 raptor, and the 660's are notorious for tranny problems.
I have 12 friends all of which ride together all year long.
I and 5 others own 660r or 700r- none of us have had a problem in 5 years.
one owns a 1 yr old predator.he really is on the ball with maintanance..the rest of them have assorted hondas and suzukis.all of which have had engine problems.
more so the polaris which has had a complete upper end and a trans rebuild just this year alone.mind you he has 1/10th the miles we do on ours.
well he screwd it up or something because ive had mine for three years strait not changed oil once or pulled matnece scense i got it and it will still out run 660 and almost 700
what is a trw 350 ive never heard of that. but any way 660 raptors are awsome no dought but the only thing wrong with them is their clutches idk how they manage to screw up so bad but ive had a polaris 500 predator for three years now and ive never had a problome with it i do understand u stated in this comment that all of the ones u seen but my predator will out run a 660 still even when the valves need to be adjuseted just saying
TRX 350 my man Or "Fourtrax 350". Small honda 4x4, light and the damn thing is almost indestructible. I've seen many predators, and they are indeed very quick quads. Not my style personally but whatever floats your boat. But with the work I've done to the raptor now, I don't think I'll be beat by any in the near future lol. One thing to note is that I was referring to the larger polaris 4x4's not their sport ATV's.
damn lol i got jetted carb and filter and some light weight stuff along with white bros ex pulles pree hard if u hit it in 2nd it will lift the tires off the groun 3 inc and carry them till i hit 3rd i think it just because i weight 130 so lol
"1994 sportsman 400 has never broken anything other then the starter(brushes wore down), front struts, and inner tie rods." hmmm... that list of repairs is alot longer than any i've had;
85 honda big red- starter bushings wore out
84 honda trx 200 - nothing
late 80's suzuki lt250 4x4 - nothing
94 suzuki lt250 - nothing
thats a whole lot of nothing compared to your polaris thats gone through tie rods, struts and a starter, and i can imagine those struts arent a cheap fix
Where do you keep those bikes? Maybe next to the old 8 track player or crate full of albums. How about next to Barney Fife's squad car? Geez man all those bikes were simple and underpowered. Polaris leads the way in innovations and the owners tend to be mud riders who show no mercy so naturally they are going to show their weaknesses. Most of the problems are related to too much lift and too tall tires and too much time spent pushing and pulling other brands back to high ground.
they've all been through alot. theres no way you could say the two suzukis were simple tho, they both had the first atv irs system (not considered true irs tho for what reason i dont know) and the 4x4 had 5 gears with 3 ranges, most gear combinations of any quad and locking front diffs. as for the power, well power doesnt matter when it comes to breaking suspension and steering.
I'll agree with you on the suzukis. I'd like to see some modern day bikes with the super low gear that suzuki had. They were like little tractors. More bikes should have true locking front diffs too.
LOL!!! your a fucking moron. these are all wear items that depend on mileage. I assure you any atv car whatever will wear out these items. My 400 sportsman has over 5000 actual hard offroad miles on it.
If your others wheelers werent such pieces of shit you would ride them and put mileage on them. they dont wear parts out sitting there.
Actually 250's are so slow it would be hard to go fast enough to wear anything out anyway, your right.
actually your the moron, each of those bikes i mention has way over 5000 miles on them. the suzi 2x4 alone has 14,000 the last time i checked it, and the big red gets used far more. 5000 miles is nothing, I already have 1000 on my kawasaki brute force thats only a couple months old
All these bikes take their best features from Polaris. Polaris was the first with automatic tranny, irs, top notch brakes, locking front diffs and on and on. Honda has no balls and survives only on its false reputation and the others dont have running gear to handle their moderate power and are still playing catchup with POLARIS. That " huge recall" was on yamaha grizzly. They would actually boil the gas in the tanks.
i'v had 2 sportsmans and a trailblazer, and i started with a 90's trail boss. I like riding them there alot of fun and very powerfull, the this is they break...alot!
i just got a 1992 trail boss 350 2stroke a week ago and i love it. all you atv junkies out there how do you seal the cvt belt. and does anyone know of a snorkel kit to fit it
it should have a rubber seal arond the out side and if you want to snorkle it you will need to snorkle the belt housing and the pull starter to (pull starter less important). the snorkle will probable have the be custom but there cold be a kit. Is i 4 wheel drive? if not why do you want a snorkle?
dude may have power but there too heavy, and actually bro suzuki made a king quad a long time ago with high low and super low with a 5 speed and 2wd 4wd and diff lock it had 35 diff gear options, and honda is the most reliable bike out there they just need to put a diff tranny in,more power, more clearance and a locking front diff and they would be top
I remember that suki, it was a good bike. As far as honda goes that is a lot of "ands" you have there lol. Maybe not having all that stuff is why they are more reliable. On the other hand, show me a honda dealer and I'll show you a shop full of broken bikes in the back of it.
Its like any shaft driven quad, if you don't maintain the diffs (Drain the water and re-oil) its easyer and sometimes cheaper to buy a new one. If you look at the Honda sales for the late 80's and early 90's on their 4x4 quads you'll see why there is lots broken, but their is still lots of them out there too. Our 95 300 fourtrax will not stop starting. Its a tank, slow yes, but strong.
Ok Honda's gutless everybody knows that, same with Polaris and Kawasaki and Suzuki, if i were to get a quad it would be a Can-Am or a Arctic Cat but if you want a long lasting quad for like trails get a Honda They last for ever Trust Me
The polaris rzr is made small, to be more like the width of a actual atv. So compare the width to a real side-by-side, not a rzr. National sales in atv's doesn't mean much to me, it doesn't mean Cat's aren't reliable. From my experiences, all the Polaris's have had way more problems then Cats. Look at where Arctic Cat is going now, they have everything. The ThunderCat 1000, Mud Pro 700, even a diesel 700 atv.
fuck yall the most reliable is YAMAHA BITCHES! mine has a raptor 680 hi-output custom race engine and it is 791 pounds, and muzzy exshaust i went 129 on it fuck thunderkitty they just suck
your full of it, polaris is awesome and i had one and it was better than everything . it raced a polaris 700 and won, its a 500. polaris is not a piece of crap brand, they are awesome
there is a POS in POlariS for a reason, its a Piece Of Shit. They are nothing but problems, and they are weak, my AC 650 V2 ran all over a Polaris 700 and Yamaha 700 FI plus my Outlander 500 ran all over the 700cc and less ATVs in the ATV sled pull bringing me the gold, and the rest a loss. know your roll and shut your mouth
escalade4756, you have noo clue what your talking about do you? The Arctic Cat T-Cat weighs 716lbs, which is lighter than your shitty Polaris. And you say it is almost as big as a side by side? The T-cat is no where near a side by side, a Polaris is actually wider than the T-cat. Arctic Cat is one of the top brands, and they are reliable. All Polaris's I ride with have to stop all the time for there bikes to cool down, they are the ones having problems. You want an American made atv, get a Cat!
ha a t-cat is only 2.5 inches less wider then a polaris rzr so yes its near the width and ill stick to riding a better american atv a polaris.......and then the really funny thing is in national sales in atvs and side by side polaris is number one in sales and oh yea how funny can am honda and yamaha are all ahead of trail kitties, and then arctic cats r like the worst for reliability i mean they couldnt even make their own motors for along time
Polaris is american made, both AC and Polaris are made here in the great state of MN, but I would never buy a popo. My in-laws get 2 every year. Since I have been married they have had problems with at least one every year as well. They do absolutely ZERO mud riding or aggressive riding, just normal trail riding, and they still run into problems, our ACs have never had any problems and we are hard core mudders and very aggressive popo=junk
i cant beleave you guys like those polaris i mean god my brother in law had two 500 bran new and had nothing but prblems with them 2008 bikes so i went with honda nt the fastest but all shaft drive fuck that belt drive shit arctic cats are great bikes but i just cant beleave they would put a belt drive system on such a pretty good bike but if you guy like them tear it up but dont buy polaris man they seem to have so many problems
im a huge polaris guy but in this case the can am is so much better made then a arctic cat. i mean honestly arctic cats rnt worth buying, and the thundercat is not gonna be good for trail riding with its overly wide body, and like i said im a a polaris guy but the renegade is awsm and all around is way better then the arctic cat. in other words save yourself a bunch of problems and dissapointment and dont go buy a arctic cat
yeah ur right except for the part where Arctic Cats are actaully better then polaris, a cat thats the same size as yours will fry you polaris, and the engine will last for ever cuz they are built buy suzuki, my suzuki is twenty two years old and will still out mud most modern qaud with original stock tires on it. A suzuki will NEVER EVEr die, it dosnt even matter what you trie and say.
my 1999 polaris 500 destroyed a artic cat 500 and can go faster then some of can ams older models . oh and by the way artic cat makes there own engines now get with the times man and before you try to talk shit make sure your info is actually true
haha, ur actaully really stupid, they are making some of there own engines now, like thundercat1000 engine and there deisels, but most others are suzuki motors, my cousins DVX400... suzuki, my cousins 300arctic cat utility... suzuki, and last but not least, my grandpa's H1 650...
SUZUKI. so, im not really sure who is more right here, but ive got the facts and u dont.
what year are they and my polaris 500 still will wip any p.o.s suzuki engine anyday. as for artic cats great offroad quads my cuz has one and my uncle but they both still dont got much power but anyone knows all you need for muddin is a bit a power , good ground clearence and a good locker suzuki i have to say some of there models have a good locker but ive seen them go thru a hole and they barley make it where i go. so in the end polaris and artic cats rule. suzuki sucks big hairy monkey nuts.
you know what the really funny thing is tho?? the trail kitties are last among every atv brand in sells i think that right there should tell you alot and how often do you see a arctic cat in the enduros winning?.....you dont. you can bring ur "awesome" suzuki or can-am down here and we'll tie it end-to-end wit my sportsman and see who has more power
your fucking stupid you i wasnt even talking about this vid it was a whole different subject asshole. and yes my neighbor has a 2008 renegade 800x with hmf exhaust k and n air filter and 27 inch itp's and my brute and his gade are hand in hand. all my brute has is muzzy exhaust 28 inch itp's k an n air filter and ss rims.
actually your probly right against a t-cat it probly would pull it when there tied end to end coz the tcat weighs so freakin much and is almost as big as a side by side but in a drag race the sportsman would kill the arctic kitty, and then away from racing and everything a tcat is so unreliable and arctic cat is seriously the worst of all major brands, i mean i would own a honda even b4 one of those or a suzuki or a kawi and i wanna ride an american amde atv so ill stick to the polaris
those thundercats aren't all they are cracked up to be i have a 650 outy and i love it the power and the handling is phenominal and that is something arctic cat doesn't have!!!!
let me say my 2 cents on this. i work at arctic and test these machines along with the others from other manufacturers. when we ran the t-cat against that renegade it wasnt even close and we ride everything hard. the only thing the 800 renegade has is better looks. the t-cat needs dual exhaust and i have pushed for it but no luck. we have to be the worst at choking off our notors with our tiny pipe and the same muffler on every wheeler
arent you full o fit ,, your boss made you say this cause 1000 thunder has no chance vs 800 canam I have seen it with my own eyes.. buddy that biught it lost and it now for sale the 1000 on it should say 550 ....
yeah im full of it. i hate arctic but its a job and the fact of the matter is the thundercat is much faster than the canam 800. again we run everything hard.and if your so smart dumbass look at the springs. that is a 700 not the thundercat.
yea but the arctic cat is way heavier and bigger and makes a huge difference. arctice cart and kawasaki the best. the arctic cat and kawi have similar frame and 4wd. they the best. can am unrealiable, shiitty fukn break down u cant even riede em hard without them fuken up
i mean come on can am's have always had more power for there class. look how close that race was. a 950cc should have beat the 800cc it just shows what can am's have for there size. wait until can am comes out with something bigger
Its sooo close that I don't give a damn!!!! I have a renegade 800 and as long as you want to go riding bring a 200$ wheeler or a 20,000$wheeler...just make sure your ready to have fun, but if you built a wheeler for show only (chrome, big rims with street tires, etc, etc) STAY AT THE SHOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
eh first its a 950, and it weight 200 extra lbs over the renegade, And its the renegade, a sport 4x4 and its accelerate quicker than a outlander 800 .The thundercat would walk over a outlander 800 all day
the 2009 can am outlander 800r is just going to fix the problem with a 9% power boost over the 2008 models. like it or not can am will own the tcat in 2009.
lol it really did cuz look how big the arctic cat is compaired to it lol and the rene is a sport quad not a work quad so indeed it got raped but those renageds r really nice tho but really pricy
Now in Russia Thunder cat 1000 more popular than renegade 800 because it has the same dynamics, and main factor Arctic cat is 15 percents cheaper than renegade 800.
Lordpaxin is right, the T-Cat is faster but not by much, the T-Cat also has way more torque, My T-Cat will beat the renegade and the the renegade 800 R. The T-Cat is also way more detuned, the can am 800s are pushed a lot more to get that HP witch not only leaves them with less potential but also means they may not last as long due to how much more they are being leaned on from factory.
Just about who gets off the line first.

I and 5 others own 660r or 700r- none of us have had a problem in 5 years.
one owns a 1 yr old predator.he really is on the ball with maintanance..the rest of them have assorted hondas and suzukis.all of which have had engine problems.
more so the polaris which has had a complete upper end and a trans rebuild just this year alone.mind you he has 1/10th the miles we do on ours.
polaris is garbage in my eyes.
winged70bbody2 2 years ago
well he screwd it up or something because ive had mine for three years strait not changed oil once or pulled matnece scense i got it and it will still out run 660 and almost 700
flugin2008 2 years ago
what is a trw 350 ive never heard of that. but any way 660 raptors are awsome no dought but the only thing wrong with them is their clutches idk how they manage to screw up so bad but ive had a polaris 500 predator for three years now and ive never had a problome with it i do understand u stated in this comment that all of the ones u seen but my predator will out run a 660 still even when the valves need to be adjuseted just saying
flugin2008 2 years ago
TRX 350 my man Or "Fourtrax 350". Small honda 4x4, light and the damn thing is almost indestructible. I've seen many predators, and they are indeed very quick quads. Not my style personally but whatever floats your boat. But with the work I've done to the raptor now, I don't think I'll be beat by any in the near future lol. One thing to note is that I was referring to the larger polaris 4x4's not their sport ATV's.
DaShnipa 2 years ago
oohh okk what do you have done to your 660 lol
flugin2008 2 years ago
High comp pistons, valve and spring kit, cammed and a full yoshi exhaust. Pulls so hard it scares the shit out of me lol.
DaShnipa 2 years ago
damn lol i got jetted carb and filter and some light weight stuff along with white bros ex pulles pree hard if u hit it in 2nd it will lift the tires off the groun 3 inc and carry them till i hit 3rd i think it just because i weight 130 so lol
flugin2008 2 years ago
"1994 sportsman 400 has never broken anything other then the starter(brushes wore down), front struts, and inner tie rods." hmmm... that list of repairs is alot longer than any i've had;
85 honda big red- starter bushings wore out
84 honda trx 200 - nothing
late 80's suzuki lt250 4x4 - nothing
94 suzuki lt250 - nothing
thats a whole lot of nothing compared to your polaris thats gone through tie rods, struts and a starter, and i can imagine those struts arent a cheap fix
quentin6493 2 years ago
Where do you keep those bikes? Maybe next to the old 8 track player or crate full of albums. How about next to Barney Fife's squad car? Geez man all those bikes were simple and underpowered. Polaris leads the way in innovations and the owners tend to be mud riders who show no mercy so naturally they are going to show their weaknesses. Most of the problems are related to too much lift and too tall tires and too much time spent pushing and pulling other brands back to high ground.
darksideoffroad 2 years ago
they've all been through alot. theres no way you could say the two suzukis were simple tho, they both had the first atv irs system (not considered true irs tho for what reason i dont know) and the 4x4 had 5 gears with 3 ranges, most gear combinations of any quad and locking front diffs. as for the power, well power doesnt matter when it comes to breaking suspension and steering.
quentin6493 2 years ago
I'll agree with you on the suzukis. I'd like to see some modern day bikes with the super low gear that suzuki had. They were like little tractors. More bikes should have true locking front diffs too.
darksideoffroad 2 years ago
LOL!!! your a fucking moron. these are all wear items that depend on mileage. I assure you any atv car whatever will wear out these items. My 400 sportsman has over 5000 actual hard offroad miles on it.
If your others wheelers werent such pieces of shit you would ride them and put mileage on them. they dont wear parts out sitting there.
Actually 250's are so slow it would be hard to go fast enough to wear anything out anyway, your right.
ws6transam1971 2 years ago
actually your the moron, each of those bikes i mention has way over 5000 miles on them. the suzi 2x4 alone has 14,000 the last time i checked it, and the big red gets used far more. 5000 miles is nothing, I already have 1000 on my kawasaki brute force thats only a couple months old

POLARIS= Pulls Other Lazy Atvs, Right In Seconds...
helldevil324 2 years ago 2
All these bikes take their best features from Polaris. Polaris was the first with automatic tranny, irs, top notch brakes, locking front diffs and on and on. Honda has no balls and survives only on its false reputation and the others dont have running gear to handle their moderate power and are still playing catchup with POLARIS. That " huge recall" was on yamaha grizzly. They would actually boil the gas in the tanks.
darksideoffroad 2 years ago
i'v had 2 sportsmans and a trailblazer, and i started with a 90's trail boss. I like riding them there alot of fun and very powerfull, the this is they break...alot!
kowclubproductions 2 years ago
i just got a 1992 trail boss 350 2stroke a week ago and i love it. all you atv junkies out there how do you seal the cvt belt. and does anyone know of a snorkel kit to fit it
roksys69 2 years ago
it should have a rubber seal arond the out side and if you want to snorkle it you will need to snorkle the belt housing and the pull starter to (pull starter less important). the snorkle will probable have the be custom but there cold be a kit. Is i 4 wheel drive? if not why do you want a snorkle?
kowclubproductions 2 years ago
Get a Gasket for the cvt housing and no they dont have a snorkel so dont get water above the seat and definately not above the gas tank!
Spywell 2 years ago
thank you so much i really appreciate it
roksys69 2 years ago
dude may have power but there too heavy, and actually bro suzuki made a king quad a long time ago with high low and super low with a 5 speed and 2wd 4wd and diff lock it had 35 diff gear options, and honda is the most reliable bike out there they just need to put a diff tranny in,more power, more clearance and a locking front diff and they would be top
1tonblazer 2 years ago
I remember that suki, it was a good bike. As far as honda goes that is a lot of "ands" you have there lol. Maybe not having all that stuff is why they are more reliable. On the other hand, show me a honda dealer and I'll show you a shop full of broken bikes in the back of it.
darksideoffroad 2 years ago

The ThunderCat 1000, Mud Pro 700, even a diesel 700 atv.
countrycat440 2 years ago
lol fuck yall and yur artic kittys yamaha all the way,ESPECIALLY if it has a raptor 660 hi-output engine like mine, and a four inch lift SO hahahahaha
yamahaATV680hioutput 2 years ago
The raptor engine blows ass. Bore out the YFZ 450 motor, now were talkin.
yetilikesbeer 2 years ago
fuck yall the most reliable is YAMAHA BITCHES! mine has a raptor 680 hi-output custom race engine and it is 791 pounds, and muzzy exshaust i went 129 on it fuck thunderkitty they just suck
yamahaATV680hioutput 2 years ago
your full of it, polaris is awesome and i had one and it was better than everything . it raced a polaris 700 and won, its a 500. polaris is not a piece of crap brand, they are awesome
tuxedoman04 2 years ago
there is a POS in POlariS for a reason, its a Piece Of Shit. They are nothing but problems, and they are weak, my AC 650 V2 ran all over a Polaris 700 and Yamaha 700 FI plus my Outlander 500 ran all over the 700cc and less ATVs in the ATV sled pull bringing me the gold, and the rest a loss. know your roll and shut your mouth
tehpwnerer1918 2 years ago
escalade4756, you have noo clue what your talking about do you? The Arctic Cat T-Cat weighs 716lbs, which is lighter than your shitty Polaris. And you say it is almost as big as a side by side? The T-cat is no where near a side by side, a Polaris is actually wider than the T-cat. Arctic Cat is one of the top brands, and they are reliable. All Polaris's I ride with have to stop all the time for there bikes to cool down, they are the ones having problems. You want an American made atv, get a Cat!
countrycat440 2 years ago
cats are junk piece of shits. there sleds are the only thing they got going for them and there nothing to brag about. Polaris is so much better.
drichards1089 2 years ago
ha a t-cat is only 2.5 inches less wider then a polaris rzr so yes its near the width and ill stick to riding a better american atv a polaris.......and then the really funny thing is in national sales in atvs and side by side polaris is number one in sales and oh yea how funny can am honda and yamaha are all ahead of trail kitties, and then arctic cats r like the worst for reliability i mean they couldnt even make their own motors for along time
escalade4756 2 years ago
Polaris is american made, both AC and Polaris are made here in the great state of MN, but I would never buy a popo. My in-laws get 2 every year. Since I have been married they have had problems with at least one every year as well. They do absolutely ZERO mud riding or aggressive riding, just normal trail riding, and they still run into problems, our ACs have never had any problems and we are hard core mudders and very aggressive popo=junk

i cant beleave you guys like those polaris i mean god my brother in law had two 500 bran new and had nothing but prblems with them 2008 bikes so i went with honda nt the fastest but all shaft drive fuck that belt drive shit arctic cats are great bikes but i just cant beleave they would put a belt drive system on such a pretty good bike but if you guy like them tear it up but dont buy polaris man they seem to have so many problems

im a huge polaris guy but in this case the can am is so much better made then a arctic cat. i mean honestly arctic cats rnt worth buying, and the thundercat is not gonna be good for trail riding with its overly wide body, and like i said im a a polaris guy but the renegade is awsm and all around is way better then the arctic cat. in other words save yourself a bunch of problems and dissapointment and dont go buy a arctic cat
escalade4756 2 years ago
yeah ur right except for the part where Arctic Cats are actaully better then polaris, a cat thats the same size as yours will fry you polaris, and the engine will last for ever cuz they are built buy suzuki, my suzuki is twenty two years old and will still out mud most modern qaud with original stock tires on it. A suzuki will NEVER EVEr die, it dosnt even matter what you trie and say.
deanbassist01 2 years ago
my 1999 polaris 500 destroyed a artic cat 500 and can go faster then some of can ams older models . oh and by the way artic cat makes there own engines now get with the times man and before you try to talk shit make sure your info is actually true
krazykevin6969 2 years ago
haha, ur actaully really stupid, they are making some of there own engines now, like thundercat1000 engine and there deisels, but most others are suzuki motors, my cousins DVX400... suzuki, my cousins 300arctic cat utility... suzuki, and last but not least, my grandpa's H1 650...
SUZUKI. so, im not really sure who is more right here, but ive got the facts and u dont.
deanbassist01 2 years ago
what year are they and my polaris 500 still will wip any p.o.s suzuki engine anyday. as for artic cats great offroad quads my cuz has one and my uncle but they both still dont got much power but anyone knows all you need for muddin is a bit a power , good ground clearence and a good locker suzuki i have to say some of there models have a good locker but ive seen them go thru a hole and they barley make it where i go. so in the end polaris and artic cats rule. suzuki sucks big hairy monkey nuts.
krazykevin6969 2 years ago
oh and some good tires... if you want lol i still got my original stock tires unitl wednseday
krazykevin6969 2 years ago
you know what the really funny thing is tho?? the trail kitties are last among every atv brand in sells i think that right there should tell you alot and how often do you see a arctic cat in the enduros winning?.....you dont. you can bring ur "awesome" suzuki or can-am down here and we'll tie it end-to-end wit my sportsman and see who has more power
escalade4756 2 years ago
i'll do that with my brute force 750 i just got last friday.

a t-cat will pull your sportsman a new asshole in everything except in bein a piece of shit
jjjhedder 2 years ago
actually your probly right against a t-cat it probly would pull it when there tied end to end coz the tcat weighs so freakin much and is almost as big as a side by side but in a drag race the sportsman would kill the arctic kitty, and then away from racing and everything a tcat is so unreliable and arctic cat is seriously the worst of all major brands, i mean i would own a honda even b4 one of those or a suzuki or a kawi and i wanna ride an american amde atv so ill stick to the polaris
escalade4756 2 years ago

santerre1974 2 years ago
those thundercats aren't all they are cracked up to be i have a 650 outy and i love it the power and the handling is phenominal and that is something arctic cat doesn't have!!!!
quomafri 2 years ago
let me say my 2 cents on this. i work at arctic and test these machines along with the others from other manufacturers. when we ran the t-cat against that renegade it wasnt even close and we ride everything hard. the only thing the 800 renegade has is better looks. the t-cat needs dual exhaust and i have pushed for it but no luck. we have to be the worst at choking off our notors with our tiny pipe and the same muffler on every wheeler
waycooljr32 2 years ago
arent you full o fit ,, your boss made you say this cause 1000 thunder has no chance vs 800 canam I have seen it with my own eyes.. buddy that biught it lost and it now for sale the 1000 on it should say 550 ....
santerre1974 2 years ago
yeah im full of it. i hate arctic but its a job and the fact of the matter is the thundercat is much faster than the canam 800. again we run everything hard.and if your so smart dumbass look at the springs. that is a 700 not the thundercat.
waycooljr32 2 years ago
yea but the arctic cat is way heavier and bigger and makes a huge difference. arctice cart and kawasaki the best. the arctic cat and kawi have similar frame and 4wd. they the best. can am unrealiable, shiitty fukn break down u cant even riede em hard without them fuken up
rsr530 2 years ago
i mean come on can am's have always had more power for there class. look how close that race was. a 950cc should have beat the 800cc it just shows what can am's have for there size. wait until can am comes out with something bigger

Lordpaxin is right, the T-Cat is faster but not by much, the T-Cat also has way more torque, My T-Cat will beat the renegade and the the renegade 800 R. The T-Cat is also way more detuned, the can am 800s are pushed a lot more to get that HP witch not only leaves them with less potential but also means they may not last as long due to how much more they are being leaned on from factory.
klide263 3 years ago
The rotax motor is nowhere being pushed to the point where it is going to cause long term durability promblems.
dmax0305 3 years ago 3
dude if the rotax 800 engine is pushed to the max it pulls out 130 hp, i saw on the dyno at the can am factory in Montreal Quebec
