  • love the sound dude,nice

  • :)

  • Great performance, Vitaly, many congrats!

Could you please explain me...the USB goes into the IPAD camera kit, right? And at the other side? The 5-pin MIDI-in and MIDI-out of the E-mu, where do you connect them? I'm asking this, since you say you recorded it in Cubase, using VST instruments...so I don't understand, are you connecting the 5-pin MIDI-out of the E-mu to a computer where you have Cubase and the VST-instruments?

  • @aldepi

The 5-pin midi in and out goes into computer MIDI interface. I'm using M-Audio MidiSport 1x1.

  • That sounded so fucking amazing.. This is the prove that the iPad truly is an instrument, and you MASTER it. Big respect.

  • @progvincent Well, except for the fact that the velocities captured remind me of what MIDI keyboards used to be like about 20 years ago! It's too sensitive and almost random feeling. I don't think it's a software issue either. The resolution of the accelerometers in these sort of things aren't industrial grade or anything.

    A good performance either way.

  • I'm speechless. Well done!

  • Wonderful!! What is that black thing connected to the iPad and (camera connection kit).?

  • @beginnerdjs hey! E-mu Xmidi 1x1 tab - usb to midi interface.

  • Thank you, that was great!

  • АРКАДИЙ И БОРИС)))

  • @painttt199 В точку! "Улитка на склоне." =)

  • uhhhh joe??? jordan where the hell are you 2 at right now!!! you gotta check this out!!!! hahah fantastic job!

  • That was just plain awesome! Do you control the sustain on the piano sound through VST as well?

  • @keyboardman7777 No, i did not control sustain pedal here. There were no need =)

  • Great!

  • Ready to learn "Day at the Beach" ? :p

    Same technic ;)

  • @marsarium Great idea! I already know how to play it on guitar!

  • this deserves more view than gagaween shit

  • Which app is playing the actual piano sound?

  • Excellent !

Actually, it's not very difficult, i recognize the same position as on a guitar ;)

  • @marsarium Right! And that's why i love it! It allows every guitarist to play any synth without learning piano!

  • how do you connect this app with the vst plugins as a midi controller?thx!

  • @aldo2394 iosmidi.com explains wifi midi setup nicely, which is the more complex case. you can buy camera connection kid and a USB to MIDI cable to plug into hardware MIDI (which he did here). In Geo, you go to page 3 of controls on iPad and select MIDI config to make sure that the MIDI destination is selected (wifi, cameraconnect kit, apps running in background, etc). Note that some USB2MIDI cables (ie: Uno) seem to have a bug...you gotta kill ALL MIDI producing apps after you plug it in.

  • @rrr00bb err... camera connection kiT :-)

  • @rrr00bb no i mean how did u connect ipad to ur pc so that cubase can detect this as a midi controller which can be used for the vst ?

  • @aldo2394 you can do it over wifi with no extra hardware (google rtp midi configuration), but the latency of wifi will surely screw up something as delicate as this video. you are better off with ipad->cameraConnectionKit->usb2MidiCable to get a real male MIDI cable out of ipad (i go into a hardware Korg Karma), and on computer get an adapter to give you a real female MIDI adapter. see iConnectMIDI too. there are a lot of variables based on what you already have and can spend on ipad midi.

  • @rrr00bb big thx man,appreciate ur explanation...:D

  • Nicely done!

  • uau! Very Nice!

  • Now available in the apple appstore! ! !

  • Awesomutely amazing ;) geo synth rules, so do you and this song !

  • Oh my gosh thank you for sending me this link! Please make this public! This is incredible! You are AMAZING Vitaly! I'm honored you shared this with me, can I please share this link with my Facebook friends? :)))))

  • cool sound and nice playing

  • not sure if you know how ironic it is you playing this. i remember when the author of that instrument, at 16 (i was 13), sat in our basement for a week and learned to play the guitar by playing that song.
