@TheSchaefReport Show me the wind. If you can't do that then I'll just go ahead and assume it"s not real.
You see, we know the wind is real because even though we can't see it, we can feel it and we can see the effect it has on everything around us. That's the way God is. We know He's there because we feel it within us and we see the effect He has on everything around us.
Obviously there's more to it than that, but I just thought I would kindly respond to your statement. I hope this helps.
@jwend001 Iappreciate the attempt, but no it didn't help. At least I can feel the wind.. I can't feel your god. You claim to know the nature of god but you only "know" this from a book you read. You're not basing anything on actual experience (i.e. the 5 senses). Emotional experiences don't mean a thing since we create those ourselves.
@TheSchaefReport Christianity is a religion.. but being Christian is a relationship to God.. You'll not see God because you don't have the Word in you. I can show you God. God is everywhere. We(believers) are God because we are part of him by Spirit and by Faith and we manifest Jesus in us, He reign in us through our lives. You will not see Him because your spirit is manifesting Satan's spirit that's why. God bless you dude! May Jesus have mercy on you.
@E525 No. A cowardly way to argue is asking someone to disprove a negative. For example: I think the Lochness Monster died for my sins. If you can't pove he didn't, then you lose.
@dudemanio Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.
From that verse, it is obvious that most people do not believe in Christ.
@ddddcinc if most people were cristians, it'd be fantastic, brother. is true that a lot of people are just christian by name alone, and are therefore not gonna pass through the narrow gate, but we are all meant to be saved by grace. it's our choice for it to not be like that, not by God's predestination, that most people aren't christian
@Kanai75 Send me a PM. We'll decide a meet up spot, then you can fly out here and punch me in the mouth tough guy. I hope you're "right with the lord" though, because you'll probably be meeting him soon.
@TheSchaefReport I can't show you God directly because we cannot see into the Spirit Realm, but I can show you his promises and His prophecy. How come in modern day, we have found pieces of the ark on Mount Arab(some one correct me if I'm wrong on mount) and pieces of chariots at the bottom of the Red Sea? How about fish bones on Mount Everest(The Flood)? The whole world is turning against Israel, just like the Bible said that after Egypt was gone(Government has been broken).
That's not how science works. In science you either falsify, or not. If it can't be tested, we can't now anything about it. Therefore we cannot objectively know if the lord exists.
@TheSchaefReport Can you show me the wind? You can show the effects of the wind (trees swaying, leaves blowing, etc.), but can't show the wind. I see the effects of god regularly in the beauty of his creations and in the lives of godly people, but have never seen his face.
@TheSchaefReport Well, you actually have taken the time to listen to a praise and worship song by a Christian Rock band, and then proceed to argue against the message and try to convert people away from Christianity. Seems quite militant to me. I don't go looking for secular songs and do what you do. if you have so much time on your hands that you go around listening to stuff that's offensive to you, perhaps you should consider joining debate club instead.
@smn3675@smn3675 where's the love for your neighbor in you answer??? aren't you supposed to be the one who's different? and don't diss them out? and actually, you SHOULD be going to secular songs and doing exactly that... don't you think?
Made this song my answering machine outgoing message, back in the day of tape answering machines. Ticked off my unsaved family members to have to listen to it was the upshot. These tunes will take their proper place in heaven, when the Lord will be stokin' the star maker machinery behind the popular PRAISE song.
Ok totally was just crying listening to this. Whatever happened to this sort of Christian rock that actually focuses on the Lord and His power in times of trouble, instead of whining to him? Love it. Thanks for uploading.
This was one of the first songs I heard after I became born again,Larry Norman was the first christian CD I bought. Actually I think it was on cassette tape.
This song brings back a lot of memories...I seen Petra 3 times in concert...the first show I saw had Greg X Volz singing lead with his hair really long...I Love Petra and all of thier songs.
@billpikebuffalo me too! Saw them 3 times in the 80's They had a big influence on my walk with the Lord. Funny thing, I haven't heard this song for 20 plus years yet sang right along with it like it was nothing. Love that lol
I really like both eras of Petra. Both are good for different reasons. It really just depends if I'm in the mood for seriously hard rock or slightly toned down. A band for all seasons!
Classic Petra is back!! New album out and tour starts this year!! If you like classic Petra please vote for them in the reader choice awards .com poll
I've heard of Petra before but I never heard of this song before.
It sounds awesome! At first, I thought it was going to be a rock song until I started listening to it. Either way, this mellow song still sounds awesome.
I had to listen to this song again because it's so enjoyable and awesome to listen to! :)
A wonderful song. I had just been called to the ministry when I heard this for the first time. The great peacefulness of this song had stayed with me for many years now. One of the greats. I also love a lot of the old Way ministry groups.
I used to only listen to secular rock (acdc, rat, iron maiden,etc.). I didn't know about JESUS (Christian) rock. I would never listen to mellow songs. One day I heard this song. The music caught my ear and the lyrics captured my soul. That night I gave up secular music and decided to use everything I had for the LORD!
I miss when I was a young christian in a Pentecostal church youth group who had Petra come to our church, when I could believe in a loving god. I miss when I was too innocent to know that my race was in danger and that I was hated by so many others. If I could wake up in 82/83, be 14/15 again, like the last 25 years was a bad dream and I still had a loving church family to belong to. I miss being innocent of the threat to my Race from drug-dealing gangsta subhumans. I miss the love so much.
I miss when I was a young Christian, growing up in a Charismatic church youth group who sponsored Petra to come to our sanctuary. It was 82/83. Long before I knew my Race was under threat of extinction. I was so loved in my church family. Now I'm fueled by Hate.I've seen that most "people" are really animals full of violence and drugs. I see that nothing good, not even Christ, could come from the Jews.I wish I could wake up in 82 and the last 25 years: A bad dream. I miss love so much. 14/88
don't give up hope brother God will make the world a better place at His coming just have faith the world is becoming a wicked place because of our sin but there is nothing to worry about God will save when He comes back :D
@ThorOdinson14 "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." (James 4:7-10)

@E525 No one, not even top phycisits can hold proof that the lord exist or doesn't exit.
It is up to each person to decide wether they can benefit from faith, or do not. I personally
believe that religion gives me great satisfaction, but that does not mean the lord truly exists.
