  • Not better than Elvis

  • Billy died? :( I thought it was Billy J Kramer, both great singers!!!

  • @HilaryMG

I'm afraid so. A long time ago. He had heart trouble for a lot of years.

  • @Dyynamo Thanks Dynamo, I remember Billy having heart troubles, but thought it was the other Billy. Nobody deserves to go so young, and he had such a talent,R.I.P. Billy Fury your fans still love you ! x

  • Am I really 65 ? - not when i shut my eyes and listen.

  • @michaelreardon1 OH, I love your comment, I remember when I was a kid, I saved my pocket money, for 3 weeks, so I could buy my mum an Agatha Christie book, just writing that and reading you, brings tears to my eyes.

  • paul1966england. don't blame you brother

  • Another goodie

  • 1st record ever brought wore it out

  • The greatest British Rock and Roll singer dont take my word Lennon and the rest of the lads thought very highly of billy he was more than a match for the US singers of the period

  • Awesome!!!

  • ABSOLUTE PERFECTION

  • for dad.

  • never to be forgotten

  • ONE OF THE GREATEST

  • this song reminds me of when i was a young girl,my dad used to play billys album n sing it to me my bro n sis on a sunday afternoon,he actually sounded like billy!!!

thanks so much for putting this wonderfull singer on here

  • Oh memories...pictures on my desk lid, and around my bedroom, and my ancient record player at full parent- torturing volume!! I knew every sigh and inflection...very gorgeous guy who died sooooo young.

  • Shame he never quite managed a number one. Ironically this, despite being his most famous recording, was not his biggest hit. That honour went to Jealousy, which reached no 2.

I usually have little time for UK cover versions of original US recordings, but I honestly think this is better than the Tony Orlando original.

  • i remember singing this as a first year at secondary school, billy fury was our best rock n roll singer.

    RIP billy.

  • great song great man thanks for posting it
