@Dyynamo Thanks Dynamo, I remember Billy having heart troubles, but thought it was the other Billy. Nobody deserves to go so young, and he had such a talent,R.I.P. Billy Fury your fans still love you ! x
@michaelreardon1 OH, I love your comment, I remember when I was a kid, I saved my pocket money, for 3 weeks, so I could buy my mum an Agatha Christie book, just writing that and reading you, brings tears to my eyes.
The greatest British Rock and Roll singer dont take my word Lennon and the rest of the lads thought very highly of billy he was more than a match for the US singers of the period
this song reminds me of when i was a young girl,my dad used to play billys album n sing it to me my bro n sis on a sunday afternoon,he actually sounded like billy!!!
thanks so much for putting this wonderfull singer on here
Oh memories...pictures on my desk lid, and around my bedroom, and my ancient record player at full parent- torturing volume!! I knew every sigh and inflection...very gorgeous guy who died sooooo young.
Shame he never quite managed a number one. Ironically this, despite being his most famous recording, was not his biggest hit. That honour went to Jealousy, which reached no 2.
I usually have little time for UK cover versions of original US recordings, but I honestly think this is better than the Tony Orlando original.
The Beatles freedie and the Dreamers and the merseyBeats we all good along with the other but our liverpool friend who dies of a heart-attack , reall had a voice so silky smooth , love his tunes,
MANFROMMARS46 Thank you my friend for sending this beautiful song.It is my first time to listen to this version. I like it too.
