I really can't speak on anything above the Z31's BUT all the rest of the older Z's are extremely easy to work on. I was nervous at first because I never owned and FI car before. pfft... It was easy! The computer never gave me any problems and replacing the injectors was pretty much a breeze.If you can find one in reasonably good shape a 280zx is actually an EXCELLENT car for beginning mechanics. It isn't so old that you can't become familiar with some new things.The brakes are simple but modern.
