  • Why isn't this on my iPod? I have the FREAKIN' CD, I just never put it on my laptop! WHY?!?!

  • Myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy God! How something so elaborated and suitable for a Holywood mega film is created for simple cartoons! Im puting the whole soundtracks in my favorites! THIS IS PURE ART TO THE CORE!

  • i remember Chinese and Persian history when i listen to this

  • 人声のような不気味さがなんともいえん

  • This song. Consumes me...so AMAZING.

  • Good! No Dislikes! That means no one has to get stabbed in the face around 3:40-3:41 in this song lol!

  • @Raiadrin No, bad! It has either not reached a big enough audience or the audience has not stayed long enough to deem it worthy of a vote.

Negative response is good response too you know. At least for artists.

  • @aryllia No dude it was a joke, about how at about 3:40-3:41 in the song is when Van threw a knife into someones face (At least that's what I remember.) I don't have problem with dislikes, I just like making jokes referencing the video and dislikes are a popular subject. Also notice there aren't any dislikes here. That means this was so well done there was no need for negative response.

  • starting at 1:21 what is the whistle like instrument ?

  • @MrActionExpress1

    sounds like a wooden piccolo/flute

  • i feel like a warrior

  • This makes me want to get into an epic soul calibur like sword fight.

  • OMG 15 years ago? But it feels just like yesterday! haha

  • This is bar none, one of the most amazing tracks that I've ever heard from any OST. This is just amazing on so many levels.

  • i like the beat starting at 2:19! Awesome!

  • Wondrous !

  • Can't figure out what the buzzing instrument and the harp-like instrument are in the beginning. I know the bowed instrument is the Erhu, but what are the other two? They sound Indian.

  • @gungnir2357 The chime like sharp notes are from Sitar and the continuous buzzing is of Tanpura.

  • this is THE BEST. soundtrack i have ever listened to.

  • I love this track, I'd watch this scene over and over.

  • epic Chinese Er Woo ( chinese violin):0

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the song used in the scene where allen and van duel for the first time. this took place around episodes 1 through 4

  • @phoenixflameknight

    Ask the Owl.

  • @phoenixflameknight Actually this is from the beginning of the film.

Also, this is the OST from the film of course.

  • Epic song, its one of my favs from this movie

  • Very nice mix of Western and Indian music with an overall East Asian vibe.

  • SUMMER 2013 - Watch for footage from a convention. I will be using this music to dance kabuki to.

  • Everytime I hear this track it reminds me of the opening to the movie. Which by far is one of the best opening scenes in a anime I have seen. Van kicks some serious ass in the movie. Sweet. Plus the pan flute is timeless.

  • i love this song X3

    "hehehehehehehehehehehehe"

  • Beginning at 1:16 on up, I heard that part used in the Final Fighting Fantasy vids somewhere!! :D

  • One of the best intro in my book :)

    Freaking epic.

  • doin colorguard to this msic. so far so good.

  • this musics sounds like from animal planet like stranded on a dessert lol cool

  • i am playing xylophone on this for a high school marching band show.

  • i'm doing it for trumpet

  • what's the name of that strings musical instrument at 39' ...??

  • It's an Indian instrument,their version of the harp/guitar

I'm not sure what it's called, but i've heard it frequently.

  • ok...I think I found it.... it sounds like a "Sitar"...

anyway I'm not sure at all...

    thx for your time.- :)

  • It's a Shamisen : ]

  • or maybe a Koto, can't really distinguish xD

  • It is definitely a sitar. It can't be a shamisen (the timbre of a shamisen is too sharp for this music) or a koto (too solemn for this music).

  • @kkckdkdtlol er woo

  • sounds like indian chinese music

  • love the end.

  • I keep looking for a piece that popped up throughout the series. Usually when Zaibach was involved, it had the lower strings section playing a recurring theme...

  • it´s shadow of doubts hehe

  • it´s shadow of doubts

  • thanks...just when I had given up hope...lol

  • Increìble canción!!!!

  • This is music the gods listen to.

  • @xensan76

    What Gods? psssh!

  • @xensan76 Yeah, the god of peace listens to the first part and the god of war listens to the second part! :-)

  • what is this series about?

  • The Vision of Escaflowne is about a modern teenage girl named Hitome who is also a gifted prophet. She was magically transported to another planet called Gaea after she helped a strange boy named Van slay a dragon on Earth. The story follows her journey as she helps Van and others to save Gaea from destruction, using her visions and a legendary weapon called "Escaflowne". ( You could find a better summary on wikipedia ) It's an excellent anime, I highly recommend it.

  • My fav track on the OST along with "Black Escaflowne". I love the oriental flair in it! To me the best soundtrack ever created! A+++++

  • That's my point of view.

Not my type of music, but thanks anyway.

  • Are you serious? The guy who did the DBZ soundtrack?! Maybe for 12 year old boys...

  • You apparently haven't seen the series, or at least have NOT paid ANY attention to the many varients of background musics in the background. They're all instrumentals, not anything that sounds orchestra-made.

As far as the 12 year old boys thing goes, 12 year old boys listen to things like rap and punk rock and I think heavy metal too. Please, in retrospect, the series "Escaflowne" was really made for little girls of the same age, and listen to the music it has.

  • Well I'm not a music expert, so I'll just leave it as a difference of opinion. I have indeed listened to his themes and they sound like cheesy 80s rock. Fun to listen to for awhile but not as deep as this piece.

I also think the much of the music of Escaflowne can be appreciated by a lot more people than just little girls.

  • As I think that much of the music of Bruce Faulconer can be appreciated by alot more people than just little boys.

  • In all actuallity, the instruments in this are all chinese/asian. The music for this movie is incredible and if you care to listen to the other pieces, you'll notice a very stronge emphesis on chorus and orchestra

  • This track does start out sounding East Asian but then it starts sounding more Middle-Eastern towards the end. I think that's quite a nice and unique blend though.

  • My favorite part is 2:18 to 4:12 lol.

  • Thanks for the Upload! This is my favorite track on the entire score. I think 0:01 to 2:18 is my favorite part this track.
