hello guys I have a problem I have the original sims 3 but then when I go into the sims late night of an error in the game after making the load! when I go to choose a city from the error says it does not have the cd

Hey, i have Sims 3 Installed. I want to install Sims 3 Late Night Expansion Pack. It says the Sims 3 need to be update before installing this expansion pack. So, i click yes and it says 'error with the sims 3 update. setup is unable to continue. Could anyone help me ?

Which directory should i install late night to? The original The Sims 3 folder or somewhere else?

Yes u do need the original sims 3 game already installed into that pc, expansions are just add ons to the original game, not one all itsself.

i have the disk, but when i put it into my PC it dosen't respond, i tried looking for it in my computer but the dvd drive was empty

@MrRawrllyX if you bought the game in a store you can go back to the store with your problem, maybe a disc error or something else. then you can get a new one to try it out ^_^

@MegaPokeguy just go to mod the sims and u can fin some bug fixes there and the clubs are not always gonna have people in them, my friend has LN and he payed for his, some times it depends on the days and hours

@Kingdomclaimer go into whatever drive u installed it on, il go with the c drive. it would be C/programme files/Electronic Arts (or EA)/The sims 3 late night/ game/ bin the crack would go there, overwrite the files if it asks

@doublesigma93 if u have a crack in one of ur sims games and dont have the original exe files u will need to reinstall ur games, only other thing to try is to delete the crack files and try to install it then without the original files

well i got the full expansion packs the 4 games thesims3,accesoires,world adventures,high end loft stuff. now i try to install this game it says its needs to update i click yes and it fials how to fix that.

@killerhakie easyest and fastest way is to uninstall all sims games and reinstall them so theres no 3rd parry content in there, should then work no problem

@PurpleFantasy888 ok ive had this once before, the reason ur probably getting it is u have 3rd party content in ur game, have u removed the crack and put back the original exe files? if ur doing a fresh install of all the sims 3 games and used my previous walkthroughs it may be possible u did something wrong. But i suggest uninstalling all your sims 3 games and reinstalling them which should fix the error.

@PurpleFantasy888 3rd party content = content by other people such as cracks, u need to make sure the exe files are the original. They should be named TS3sp02 and TLShost. If u just reinstalled the game just make sure not to apply any cracks to the game and dont put any store items in it ither as some people get errors. As long as u install the game and dont put anything into the folders untill your finished installing you should be fine.

@abby1030 i havent tryed it however you should be able to install them in any order just make sure u update your game using the launcher to the latest version before u install late night
