  • Thank you for uploading this video. I'm having carburetor troubles with a Nikki carburetor on a Toro riding mower. You gave me another method to check for fuel flow problems before going into a more extensive solution in solving an engine miss at all speeds.

  • @snocamo154 Your welcome and thanks for watching!

  • I too had this problem four years ago before I started doing my own work. They told me it was the fuel shutoff solenoid. Then they said they couldnt get the part unless they ordered the whole carb. They shafted me $600 for the repair and it was down for two weeks.

Needless to say I wont be going back there again. I can do it myself easier and cheaper.

  • @Pocketraisins Thanks for watching!

  • Very good video. I have a twin v engine on a Briggs and Stratton that has been sitting a long time and it won't start. I have good spark and can keep it running if I continue to spary engine starter fluid in the carburator so I know it's a fuel problem. I can't wait to check this out because it sounds like my issue.

  • @fefabre Thank you, and thanks for watching.

  • Very helpfull. I have a Struck bulldozer with a 2 cylinder Vanguard engine. Have replaced fuel filter and line, cleaned fuel tank, and verified fuel pressure all the way to carb. Had carb apart inspecting jets and float valve assembly. All OK. Didn't even know what a fuel valve solenoid was! Thanks! JACK
