While your immense effort in making this is to be credited, your efforts seem to go in the wrong directions - It seems there is a dark motive to the main character, and the art style is reflective of a harsh militaristic dystopia yet there is a talking sea monster which looks quite cute and a bare-assed women which struck me as very demeaning.
Thanks for your comment. I enjoyed reading your criticisms very much. I agree with you re the appearance of the 'bare assed' shot. Actually the character is supposed to be wearing white leggings & I had lit the landing bay scene with orange lights, but it was not until people started watching the film that I realized it was being interpreted as showing her with a nude behind.
Yes I realised that later, sorry. But I'd still say that at the very start of the episode, the somewhat cartoonish qualities and the talking monster confused me as to whom this work is aimed at, a teenage audience or an adult one?
By the way your commissioned work is absolutely stunning!
dude ok I just fund this by chance this looks really amazing yu made this in he late 90s thi is freaking incredible then. Is there more to this movie cuz this is awesome. the freaking seamonster thing was lik talkig dude! it was fricken awesome!
Your characters will no doubt be fleshed out as the story gathers momentum. Sally told me how long and much work you would have put into creating this, so it's bloody brilliant. The character's voices are the only tiny thing I thought could be changed, if one was to change anything. The main dude's voice, seems (to me) to be kind of 'out' of character for the image that I see. I guess I would prefer to hear a raspy, harsher, assertive and subdued voice. Great stuff Tom. Gary.
PART 1. A gastrotechnodelight Tom. Lovely use of colour, sound effects, music and the constant moving landscape, filled with figures, shadow, unreal horizons really brings an incredible futurist experience to life. I really enjoyed your movement design, how lifts, machinery, creatures, people, ships and environment slide, drop and interconnect in a maze of space, both real and unreal.

Other than these gripes, excellent work!

If you check the film's website you'll see I later updated her outfit with a plaid pattern, so yes, I take your point.
Glad you enjoyed watching it anyhow. I'm uploading my first new film in quite a while in the next couple of weeks so stay tuned!
I do like cute sea-monsters in harsh militaristic dystopias though. What's wrong with that ; )
Cheers,
Tom

Nice Tom very nice. You've taken some time to get the Audio right, too. The voices, the foley etc. are marvellous.
