  • Sweeeeeet!

  • my first car was a 1967 GTO. I still have it.

  • @leopetropoulos Thats awesome,,, not to many people can say that these days,,

  • have always loved the goats.

  • ugh im sorry but the hard tops and vinyl tops are so much better then a convertable sorry just personal opinion but it still a nice job

  • roll on..

  • just stumbled across this Pete!, nother nice job dude!

  • Beautiful job Pete. Need a higher resolution though to appreciate the fine details.

  • The only thing worse than hearing that song - is hearing that song TWICE.

  • That's one hot GTO cheers from Australia.

  • Some of Pete's early Youtube work....

  • do you only use siphon feed spray gun or both hvlp and siphon

  • I use both, on big jobs I will us HVLP, on small jobs I use siphon feed.... Thanks Pete

  • that's what i thought man great stuff take care!

  • Good Job Pete! That car is gonna be around for a looooong time with the work you did to it.

  • Something odd I noticed about the GTO; the last GTO coupe made was a slightly restyled Holden Monaro. In 1971, Holden used the steel 14" wheel design from the '69 model. It came full circle 30 odd years later, as the 17" alloy wheels on both the GTO and Monaro pay homage to that original wheel. Although I do think it's more than just a little crazy to have a 7.2 litre V8. In Australia, that would never work, as fuel is $5.80 a gallon, roughly

  • Yeah---gas is very expensive... I hear you guys that own the show cars don't drive them much because of GAS PRICES......

  • Those that do, often run them on what is known in Australia as LPG, but what Americans would call propane. It costs less than half of what ordinary unleaded is usually, but for every mile/km travelled, you would use three times as much gas as you would unleaded. It balances out, because LPG, while the engine runs hotter, they do run a lot cleaner. Even what comes out the exhaust smells cleaner. Some places even sell what's called E10; 10% alcohol in normal unleaded

  • Sweeeeeeeeet nice job

  • that car is insane dude its so nice

  • its easy doing rust, panel work. hardest thing is trying to source new parts

  • nice restoration !!!!! my brother has a 1972 cutlass supreme 455 610 hp anyways 12 years in it now its time to put the windows in and interior its a long process it takes money and time but when its finished its all pride.....

  • that color red is incredible!!! the whole car looks incredible...

  • 675 hp, from one of those? Sounds great, but how?

  • Wow, impressive body work!!

  • very nicely done. great vid too showing all the progress. have a friend that's working on a gto, been showin me pics as he goes. can't wait til it's done.

  • sometimes these classic cars can take years to restore. it all depends on how bad the body rust and damage is. People don't realize how much work really goes into actually doint a job like this.. post some vids or pics on your buddys car when it's done... Take it easy ----Pete

  • you did good with Big mama she looks beautiful keep her rolling now

  • awesome! when i hit the lottery i want to do a 65 with 421 SD tripwr triple black vinyl top!

  • nice but we want to hear it run!

  • If and when the owner brings it back from the interior shop,, Ill be sure to make a full video of it... Thanks Pete

  • very nice video! dig the soundtrack too!!!

got a 66 silvermist post coupe that's rock solid, maybe sometime after recession is over doin it too!!!

  • Stunning!

  • Alot of sweat and tears on this one,,, it turned out really nice... Thanks Pete

  • i done a 1966 gto also and it took 4 years to finish and i went through the same prosess and i will never do it again i spent over $50,000 i could of bought 2 gto's and cruised them but i will never sell it how many cars can i say i took off the frame and totally rebuilt from the ground up.

  • That's true... I guess that's what makes the off frame resto's special...

  • well done. - cost?

i am up to 3 years resto and counting and thats just finished panel /paint. Now the fun job where everything goes back on without chipping the paint.

  • The guy that own's the car spent well over $30,000.00 on this car... Yes I understand---NO CHIPS.......... Thanks for the commets--Pete

  • wow im in the process of restoring my 1966 tempest i want to clone it to a gto

  • It's easy to do.. Just get ahold of a place called Year One Inc.. They sell all the stuff you need to make it a clone GTO... Take it easy Pete

  • 1926 you really showed your jealousy which makes swrnc feel that much better about his creation. I build raceing motors but could not touch what he does.Sweet!

  • You molested the shit out of the car, so far from correct that I just have to laugh!!!

  • Jealousy is THICK on YouTube---Who said anything about being Correct??? Hate to burst your bubble ---This is NOT a # Matching car... Never was meant to be.... Just a good old Custom Street Rod...Daily Driver at that---NO GARAGE QUEEN HERE!!!!!

  • Nice job, wierd how many people are obsessed wit keeping old stuff absolutely original... these cars were mass produced so no shortage of material to play with.

  • Nice Job! Beautiful car! I have a 66 tempest convertible I am in the process of restoring. Watching this video gave me inspiration to get it done.
