I remember that descent from the trailer was spectacular, but with adult logic...if the damn car was going to do a 180 degree turn and go in the opposite direction from which the truck was going, why the hell didn´t the truck stopped 3 or 4 kilometers before and let the car down? The crappy writing and over the top special effects, "we wanna ride Transformers coattails" treatment, ruined any chance that the new Knight Rider series would make it. In my humble opinion NBC would have been better off to wait until the 30th Anniv of the original series and based the new KITT off of the new Chevy Camaro body and grounded the series in more of an actual reality based feel (like x-files, "this could happen", kinda thing). Hasselhoff shouldn't have touched the '08 series : (

@Microidle I think it was about 2 months to complete spending roughly a hour a day. It took lots of rewatching old episodes of Knight rider and taking notes to get it just so. Glad eveyone likes the result.

@gbrilliantq I tryed to fit it in but the backgrounds didnt match at all, The knight4000 was used in a city or a thin contry road. The footage i was using was all out in the middle of nowhere and looked very dusty.

As cool as the original show was, there was one problem. Trans Am. I've always hated GM, and always will. The 2K is an antique and would be smoked hands down by the 3k. Shelby can beat anything GM throws at it. Sorry guys.

lol. i think the tv company were going to link it with knight rider but decided agaisnt it in the end and gave it a seperate title. i think we only had a couple of series of it here in the uk. also the viper not sure on either. but again we might not have had one of the series over here.

The K2T is still my favorite, but the K3T is growing on me.

Especially after going back and watching old episodes, teh new plotlines are better and the writing. But KITT should not be a transformer.

TKR is just bad, I cannot believe they went for a second season.

You missed one incarnation however, what about K4T? The Red Dodge Phantom IV from "Knight Rider 2000" ???

It ended up being a brand new shell with the old KITT AI inside, that was the win!

TKR was on during the 90s. It was ok but has nothing to do with the new Knight rider and very little to do with the original series other than the cars could talk. Original KITT woulda run rings around all of them.

This is an excellent video. I used to watch Viper all the time. That show was just like a knockoff of Knight Rider with a little twist. I never liked Team Knight Rider. It was stupid because all the vehicles could not do what KITT could do all by his self. Plus they always got messed up over the most simple stuff. I thought that they tried too hard when they thought about that show. As far as the motorcycle Knight Rider I never seen that before. I just happen to see it while looking at KITT.

There was an episode of TKR that explained why they seemed weak compared to KITT. They gave each vehicle a weakness incase one of them went rouge the others could stop him. But KITT had no weaknesses. However because of KRO (Kind of like KARR) they gave each vehicle a weaakness.

Your right the TKR cars had weakness.. thanks to KRO.. which I felt was more KARR's sucessor then KITT's. Even tho they said KRO was to replace KITT........KITT and KARR were the only ones to have the Molecular Bonded Shell. the other Cars KRO, TKR and the new KITT didn't have it. Goliath had the Shell but he wasn't part of the foundation
