i don't get it, why is everyone so obsessed with nile? there just an average band. it's not even that technical and not that brutal. the endless pseudo agyptian intros and outros are annoying. a goog brutal death song is not even close to 5 minutes but they play endless boring breakdowns with pathetic solos. i think its the most overrated band in death metal beside six feed under of course! you guys should check out some new stuff and bands like entrails eradicated. they are way better than this

actually i dont dislike them. i just think theyre an average band and not from from my subjective pov. there are so many bands out there that are way better than nile and i mean technically und creatively (deivos, entrails eradicated etc.). my problem is that there are bands like nile and napalm death f.e. that you have to find good and if not youre a fag or you have no clue of the music. people should invest more time in listening and detecting music

most people dont even listen to other stuff and they know just a few bands of the genre and still theyre acting like they know all about the subhects. and thats my problem instead of saying this is one of the best bands couse everyone says that people should deal with the music itself. there are hundreds of thrash bands that are way better than slayer but you have to say slayer is the best becouse they are the biggest. thats why i reject it.

@Mas10 there are two different ways to look at music you can say good music is what people like and i agree with that but there is another way too. you can look at the genre and then on the terms wich are neccessary to find in this genre (musically) and if you look at music that way you can say that there are better bands than others in the genres whether you like it or not. death metal was invented couse the music had to be faster and more brutal than other styles. so origin>grave f.e.

The Roman's ripped it off the Egyptians to crucify all the war prisoners they took after conquering it, but they just put a little on the top instead of the loop because carving it was too much work. And yes, crucifixion was an actually form of execution in Roman times, and they did kill a guy named Jesus of Nazareth using it (but of course, the whole coming back to life thing and being the son of God and blah blah blah is a fairy tale)
