Salam, sorry but i'd just like to point out that it's haram for women to recite or read matam infornt of men. I suggest this video only put for the presence of women because it is haram according to shariah to have men listen to it.

I think if we are Shia girls we should not expose our selves like that because if we are imam Ali(a.s) followers we should remember he never wanted any non mahram to hear bibi Zainab's voice. Therefore i think this is not the right way. rapture29 yes we should encourage these girls to recite Quran but only in mosque or house not like that on youtube where people can cut your picture and edit it in any way .

There are two extreme shapes of Islam being imposed in Pakistan one is in the form of Taliban where the women are totally banned to do anything and other form is the concept where the women are totally free. Shia dont touch any pole we are followers of Ahlubait (A.S) and women are allowed to take work, teach, play sports etc if they follow the Islamic conditions Similarly they can talk with men plus one more thing described by Quran (Surah Ahzab, Ayat-32) in which Allah ordered women to speak

straightforward and plainly with men so we can see in history of Islam that no woman was found from Ummahatul Momineen or Ahlulbait who used to recite even Quran in gathering of Sahaba. Similarly no Hadith from any Imam that indicates the women are allowed to do so. Ayatullah Seestani and Khaminie they both allowed women to recite all these in men but only in family type environment with conditions not in public places.

In reply to (shieldedstrongly) you need to study your Islam properly its ok for girls to read in a raised voice as long as they read in chorus, its not allowed for a girl to read in a tune in a raised voice if she reads solo.

@ya4li No one's questioned the sincerity of their intention, God forbid, but what the brother is trying to say is that women should not ever speak in a soft voice because men could be tempted by that. This is the islamic ruling on this issue. I understand your point, but they could spread the message within women's circles/ majalis for women only.

Ummul Baneen, and Sayeda Zainab used to also mourn Imam Hussain peace be upon him, but have you ever read that they held majalis for both men and women, or that their gatherings were attended by both genders?

Please cite the source. According to the 'alimma in our area the marja taqlid we follow say this is not haram, rather that is a common Sunni misconception. If the intention is good and not done for purpose or in style of attraction, it is just fine. Refer to your marja and post the appropriate referenced ruling please.
