Obviously the funny thing about emo is the fact that he looks like a child, talks like a child but says things that you normally wouldn't expect from a child. Like getting a coffee enema.

I think he's funny, I understand what you're saying though. But it would be refreshing if any of my friends knew about Emo Phillips but it seems like the people who do try to claim him as their own...too many people need other peoples' work to try and define themselves. Emo's funny to me, but I don't think he's the kinda guy that could be funny all the time, unrehearsed. I saw him in an interview and he just seemed uncomfortable. Not the best, but definitely up there, and at least unique.

I like Emo, but I'm realistic. Compared to other comics, he doesn't write much... the jokes are fresh the first few times around, but the 80th, 90th time?.. Not so much.

"You ever pee in the toilet and it sounds like a chipmunk commanding you to kill Kenny G?" That was a great Emo joke. I about busted a gut. Yet he insists on telling the "broke the school bully's arms w/a baseball bat" joke 500 times instead. Whatever.
