I know he is a happier guitar player and artist, but I wish I was in the parallel universe, where he still was in rock. But I agree, there is nobody quite as talented..jazz just doesn't have POWER!
Saw Craig's performance live at Montalvo Gardens Amphitheater near San Jose a few years back and it was nothing short of a magical performance, if only the mainstream was in tune with music this great- we might have a lot less violence and unhappiness here in this country and quite possibly abroad. Way to go Craig...may you be able to play like this for many years to come!!!
I saw him at the Sedona Jazz Re-Jazz-i-na-ting. 10-2-10 first time I saw him live...WOW great music and energy got a CD and had him sign it...nice guy too... Craig was all that he should have been...by that I mean great. he even played thunder WOW
Craig is better live he ran into the grass and played in the people A must see

Craig has feel good music. It is like being outdoors in a beautiful setting. Or being able to fly or something, open and airy. His work with Russ Freeman was a Master Piece. He has a distinct style. Craig has been making great music for a long time. He played on probably 50 albums. He was 16 when he played with Grace Slick & Paul Kantner-Jefferson Airplane. One of the all time greats
Saw Craig 5/7/10 in Hanford, CA. This was my fav of his set. Craig's a genuinely nice guy & very spiritual. He talked about how everyone has a bright light shining within that radiates outward, some more than others. My daughter & I was sitting up front & he commented on her "bright light" & smile. He definitely has a good aura surrounding him. He was sincerely appreciative of the crowd; he & his band give it their all. I left feeling like I had experienced something truly special. :-)
I saw him play in about 1995? at some Afterwork Party in the streets of San Jose, 99% of the crowd was just office workers getting out of work that happened walk by, he played just like this and people went COMPLETELY NUTZ!!!! One of the best ever.
As far as the non guitar players go, he is so underrated. I'll put him up against Rhodes, Oliva, Van Halen, etc. Any damn day of the week! No disrespect to the ones I mentioned...I love em all
Great tune. I had the pleasure of playing live with CC last year and let me say he is by far the nicest, most genuine, friendliest person I've met in 30 years of music. Truly a great musician and an even better person.
havent seen him at all since the gragonfly tour with airplane in the mid 70's. loved his work on that album and i think gracie had the hot sfor him 33 years ago.. he didnt look like ronm jeremy then..
my brother is actually more ron jeremy looking than craig..
Saw him do this live at the After Work Downtown San Jose show years ago and the crowd went completely NUTS!!! Mostly just random people coming out of the office buildings.
