If people bought a Renewable energy array TODAY, a MIX of VAWT (let's say a Tesnic) wind, a solar WATER HEATER! AND a nano-solar PV unit, along with a retro-fitted ground-heat system (look 'em up SWC!), in 7 years the system will have paid for itself in money that WOULD have gone to energy cartels! Buy a solar water heater for your house if you can afford it! Thats the first step for people to take action in their own homes! You can save 50% of what you spend on heating water in a year!! If millions of homes did it, we'd be able to CLOSE a coal station or two! Thats just solar water heaters. If people invested in other micro-renewables & new houses HAD TO have ground-heat built in & be architecturally 'designed' to save energy then we'd make even more in-roads to this problem!

A solar WATER heater doesn't use a bad manufacturing process fool! It takes the SUN'S energy and uses it to heat WATER!! WTF is it with you people? Can't you even READ??

Furthermore you could intercept that hot water & add some more heat to bring it to the boil.. & presto STEAM to run a small generator!! (& you've STILL got hot water for washing after that!)

Yet even solar photo voltaics are better than nuclear power stations or coal power stations!!

Solar panels are manufactured by a photolithographic process like computer chips are. The energy required to manufacture solar panels is very intense and it is an extremely toxic process.

Nuclear power plants generate heat which boils water to turn steam turbines. Nuclear power is actually much cleaner.

But neither of those answers the question about DC power storage. Batteries cause arsine pollution...

A MIX of renewables means looking at several different technologies & using several different sources for energy.
