But the composition / music with the rhythm and song structure put together (in other words, the "song"/"tune" as a whole) becomes something uniquely artistic, expressive, and, at least to me and 27 other people, we found it ENJOYABLE. That's what you should be caring and commenting about - not whether you could make this, or how fast you could make it...

@ynoht25 Pity, that you would require such stimulus. You must not be listening to the melody. This piece can be equated to classical music. Although, in classical pieces there are often "wow-moment"s as well. It is nevertheless bloody difficult to achieve them in electronically composed music.

It breaks at 1:30 & the part beginning at roughly 1:40 - that part is "wow" enough for me. It's enough of a change. And to me it sounds cool, B/C the bassline is being layered ATM when the drums come in.

If one were sophisticated enough, he/she would see, that, although this is not a "song", it is indeed still nearly defining of what music actually is.

I really like the composition on this track. It's very film score-ish, which is also something I do. The choice in some of the sounds sound kinda amateur-y, but I read Kylethedarkn's comment, and I totally understand this. My vocals in Lullaby were really demo-y because I threw it together to have a demo version done and then I read about the competition and just tossed it in. Which is how I got #1. Production itself is a secondary aspect of music. Without good production music can still sound good. However, iIf you were only to make a song with good production and no melodic or harmonizing features it would be boring.

For a "professional" sound, mix and production are extremely important. However this contest was for more of finding a unique style of melody and harmony. Anyone can learn to mix, not everyone can compose. This was more of a deadline submission than a full song.

@NeuralKnight Okay, im not gana be a dick, but this song really, on a production level, just simply needs work. Alot of it. The kick is flat, loud, and after 1:30 gets almost unbearable. It overpowers the entire song. I have no idea what type of electronic music this would go under as well. You use synths that sound like the default fl noises you get for free. There simply is no tune, just a cheesy arp that fights for room with the equally cheesy bass. Just keep practicing.

Thank you for not being a dick, because a lot people seem to be, but you should know I don't really care about production that much. Personally, I think I've made a couple of great songs working on the production level that I am. If you can't hear the tune, you really need to break away from the tiny world of production.
