@MrChowder469 Well, Lacey's coat is fairly straight to begin with. She does get professionally groomed. I brush her every day and keep her out of the rain. She is trained to potty on a portable grass patch in the house when it rains and snows. It works out really great!

@outlawz676 Oh, I hope you do get a Shih Tzu as sweet as Lacey. I'm sure that you will because they have such nice dispositions. I trained Lacey to potty outside and inside (when the weather is bad). Your best bet is to check with your vet for advice. I did a lot of research on the internet, that would be helpful as well. Good luck!

I've always had dogs with hair, so when I first found him, it took a while for me to see his "cuteness". But, I love him to death! He's got the sweetest disposition. Get this... he studied Louis' every move, watching our close bond like it was his critical school homework. The next thing I knew; he copies every single Louis-ism! Go figure.

Aww I have a shih tzu too. I think it's a mix because he's bigger than your pup and he's only 4.5 months. Does anyone know what he might be mixed with? Groomer thought havanese, Original owner (who at first said purebred) later told me poodle, pet shop owner though bischon. What do you think? My user name goes to his videos :)

@EverythingMurray looks like more poodle than bichon. a very cute dog though! . yours has a bit more nose which looks poodle to me, bichons are a liitle more short nosed. this may be good for you because poodle mixes tend to be more healthy & you may not have eye probs with your Murray.
