  • paul wall is beast

  • paul wall spits fire

  • haha who knew paul wall could actually spit? haha

  • smoking songs:

Numbero uno: Cab fare - souls of mischief

    number 2: this beauty!

Number 3: hell, I have to putt To day was a good day with Ice cube!!

  • ye explainin to Wall check it yo holla now peace

  • Paul Waul, Twista, Ludacris,. . .i cant imagine Kanye collaborating today with some of the same people he did before. lol

  • How can I drive slow when WE CAN'T AFFORD NO GAS!

  • I wish Kanye would just do an album that didn't have features except maybe Cudi, Dwele or Bon Iver or someone like that. Sometimes, like this song, the features ruin an otherwise really good song.

  • I heard J. Cole's instrumental of this first on Dreams. And now I can't get it off my mind while listening to this one. And that's making me angry...

  • Oh.. You thought Kanye was on the last verse? Slap yourself....

  • TRUST ME, the album starts with Skit 1# right to this song, without the first few.

  • this song got sampled dozen times.. eminem, pac,j cole , kanye

  • Like if j cole brought you hear!!!

  • school full of STONES, he nicknamed me k ROCK so theyll leave me alone

  • the best paul wall verse ever.... hands down

  • The ending is horrifying

  • You guys need to realise that when Kanye asked Paul Wall to be on the song, he sent the beat & told him the name. Kanye even said that he didn't tell Paul Wall the meaning of the song so Paul Wall assumed he was talkin bout actual cars.

  • no one's iller than me eminem jacked this beat

  • @bubbonicchronic172 i know you didn't just say that.. -__- eminem made no ones iller back in 98.

  • I was driving home high as hell last night and this song came up on the radio, story of my life.

  • Eminem No one Is Iller >

  • @NOOb2019

    Nas is better

  • @DOCB2020 can't even compare them to kanye

  • still banging this in 2012!!!

  • when he says drive slow its about growin up too fast. I'm pretty sure its not literal, it doesn't have to do with a car, and Paul Wall fucked it up. Kanye's second verse is a completely different direction than the first one, and its cuz Paul Wall just starts bragging about his car. #facts

  • @kcwill913 Kanye didnt have a second verse. GLC was on the last verse. And yea i agree Paul Wall fucked it up with his verse

  • @kcwill913 Driving so is probably a metaphor for (not) growing up to fast, but that doesn't mean the song is not also about literally driving slow, lookin for hoes. Hence the Paul Wall verse. Also, Kanye's second verse sounds so different from his first because it's not Kanye, it's GLC. Kanye only has 1 verse.

  • @saxmanmax yep i think thats obvious to most smart niggas lol . you never know homie drive slow homie take your time in life

  • @kcwill913 I think Paul and GLC's verses are Mali in the song. Kanye's verse is him reflecting on his childhood memory. But Paul and GLC's verses are showing Mali, who is stuck in his teenage years: all the verses talk about is how he is amazing, how cool his car is, and fucking random hos. The verses lack the grown-up wisdom Kanye's verse has. When a young Kanye, who idolizes Mali, tries to tell him how he wants to be cool too ("My car's like.."), he's brushed off @ the start of GLC's verse.

  • @kcwill913 I think it's meant to show the different meanings of Drive Slow since I'm sure Kanye wouldn't let them ruin a song with such a deep meaning with bragging rights :S

  • @kcwill913 True story man

  • @kcwill913 No he's being literal he doesn't want people to drive too fast and end up in an accident (like gieco) and have to get their jaws wired shut. Kanye follows the rules of the road to a t

  • @kcwill913 kanye only had one verse lol...second was paul wall, third was GLC

  • Comment removed

  • @ElevatorButtonsxoxo no. J.cole is on Jay Z's team. Big Sean is On Kanye's team.

  • paul walls verse sounded WAY too similar to his verse on Grillz

  • I sampled Wildfire too...

  • Damn it i cant remember where i know this Instrumental from!! Brain Fart.

  • this shit go ham. hehe

  • whats the eminem instrumental that sounds like this one?

  • @SwAnkTwO No One's iller

  • shit i know exactly where kanye is talking about near Aurora uni and calument city

  • pual wall make me wish i was from texas

  • kanye will be forever dope.. fact!

  • the beat sounds like "no one's iller"-eminem...or is it just me

  • @atlion92 this song, shorty wanna be a thug, and dreams are all using a sample from a song by Hank Crawford named Wildflower, they used the intro to sample their beats

  • Have account money going duffle bag crazy

  • Comment removed

  • Drive slow homie

    life metaphor

  • i know lil flip had a drive slow with this beat. not sure if uts his or if he jus used this beat too tho

  • It's this beat from, "shorty wanna be thug"?

  • @damatrixxxus You could say that; they both sample Wildflower by Hank Crawford[: Along with a billion others...

  • @Elisa4Realz Thanks for clariying =)

  • does anyone think this sounds a lot like dreams by j cole? The beat I mean

  • @ohfman117 the same sample beat just form in a different way

  • next to heavy D, of course

  • paul wall tha realist rapper ever

  • Kanye Wanna Be A Thug

  • @RAthaPunisher I get it haha Cause this is a tupac sample from Shawty wanna be a thug

  • @LaronGraham yeah haha

  • i dont like paul wall but he has a nice ass flow

  • tupac

  • shorty wanna' be a thug...

  • Okay, okay we get it. A lot of songs have this same sample in it. We don't need a list.

  • what happened to paul wall?

  • @sweetepi18 lypo

  • Get your own label and do it your Own Way. sure thang.

  • The Tupac version is better ;-)

  • this is like Tupac-Shorty wanna be a thug beat but just a little bit remixed, hella gay ass fucked tupac's beat up

  • @itachi005 You kidding? This beat is making my ears orgasm. I love it.

  • @itachi005 fuck 2pac

  • look up eminems "no one is iller than me" nearly exact same beat

  • who produced this track?

  • @coldchris16 kan yeezee that's who.

  • @siinaziizu OH COOL!!!! thanks

  • J cole sampled this song in "Dreams"? sounds like it

  • @iamjordandavoll jcole samples alot of ye's shit,, if you listen carefully his song "Workout"

sounds almost exactly like kanye's "new workout plan"

  • @xPIethora hiphop is about sampling

  • @xPIethora J Cole sampled Workout from Straight up by Paula Abdul. You don't have to listen carefully at all....

  • The problem with Paul Wall in this song is that he doesn't understand the assignment. If you listen closely, Ye is rapping about something deep -- a parable for being patient, basically, a reminder that life should be lived slowly because it goes fast. Paul Wall, however, insisted on rapping about his God damn car... At least TI put it back on track somewhat on the remix.

  • @mwn213 if kanye had a problem with paul wall's voice he wouldnt have put it on there..

  • @mwn213 *verse

  • @mwn213 maybe its just soooo deep you dont understand it?

  • I feel like the beat and trumpet kind of copy 2pac's "Shorty Wanna Be A Thug"

  • @magdalena727 it does i think its in the cd book as a sample but you right

  • @magdalena727 They both sampled Hank Crawford's Wildflower . So yeah its gonna sound similar but no ones copyin anybody .

  • This is some dramatic.... streets in the dark... underground deals makin' a brief case empty.

  • Man this is when kanye was good and calm.

  • Damn im about to drive slow with a blunt to this...

  • that saxaphone doe.

  • You Paul Wall nut huggers are imbeciles. His verse has NOTHING to do with the song, with his weak, simple minded, single syllabic rhymes

  • Would actually love if someone could remix this by just removing all paul wall from the song.

  • thumbs up if u knew wat he was talking bout 79 May Laskeshore Drive III

  • @SteveOD19 what he talkin bout

  • @SteveOD19 What is that, I heard it years ago and just thought it was a good song, but what's 79 May Laskeshore Drive III?

  • @SteveOD19 I don't know tell me

  • grillz are ugly

  • This is great mix of blues and hip hop, I want more!

  • i dont mind paul walls verse at all, in fact i like it. nothing wrong with that

  • @HipHopRally Try to see it from a different perspective, kanye says watch out for these hoes in his way and paul wall in his.

  • 240p.. We meet once again.

  • @richard12inch both were sampled from Hank Crawford's song "Wildflower" Tupac and J Cole sampled it too.

  • Paul wall killed it u fucking tards

  • cole sample this on dreams

  • @wbp1995 i dont think he sampled this one, because kanye sampled this song 2...so did 2pac..i forgot the original name of the song but a couple of people sampled this song

  • viewer 269,269 :D

  • bun b woulda been better for this track

  • Pauls verse on this beat is straight swag

  • Paul's verse wasn't even that bad. Everyone needs to chill and drive slow, homie ;)

  • LOL @ EVERYBODY GOIN IN ON PAUL WALL. but anyways kanye cold. my favorite rapper, that won't change.

  • Every song or verse doesnt have to be deep just enjoy this shit, thats what it was made for.

  • if i was a policeman and i pulled someone over, i'd just make them listen to this

  • thats what i hate now fools tryin to get a concept out and frickin rappers like paul wall ruins it bout talking about his grill and cars

    fucking stupid

    kanye is a beast

  • I loved both of them :D

  • paul wall is the shit dont be hatin

  • all you stupid asses this song is about going through life taking it slow, being patient.

  • fuck you paul wall is fucking cool

  • @abrahamwinkies66 Lick my taint hes not cool.

  • @abrahamwinkies66 this damn song isn't about driving cars and showing off your jewelry. Paul wall was not the right feature on this song.

  • spose and camgroves just smile homie now thts a song

  • redfoo's song 'life is a game of chess' has a very similar beat...

  • 10 people are walking fast.

  • whats the tupac song he sampled?

  • @derekistheman12 the song your thinking of is "Shorty Wanna Be A Thug" but 2Pac sampled that too

  • @LASrapper yes! thanks brah

  • i only replay kanye west part over and over i wish he had three verse

why people keep saying the verses don't fit the song people are so damn retard

  • Comment removed

  • Listen to the song "Anything is Everything" by The Dynospectrum made way before Dive Slow and tell its not the same beat......FUCK Kanye

  • @Mbloc22 so? j.cole uses a mixed version of this beat in his song, "dreams". that's how the industry works, the songs can influence others. dont knock him for this, this was when kanye was at his realest

  • @Mbloc22 damn is not that serious kanye west did justice with this beat and also tupac did the same with shorty wanna be a thug

  • i know that feeling of your demo getting bumped by someone you look up....this is why i love kanye , he communicates real life experiences that people can relate to

  • Throwback

  • Paul Wall ruined this whole fucking song... Kanye's verse was awesome... ... Paul Wall talking about his cars and his grill..... THE FUCK? He missed the whole concept.

  • @HipHopRally Thats all he talks about fkin played out baller rap...

  • @HipHopRally I completely ignored his verse until he was done..

  • @HipHopRally don't be hatin on the houston hard hitter. his flow is silkier than silk

  • @BarceMessi

Rapping is about a content, flow and delivery. Having 1 of 3 sure as hell doesn't make him a "hard hitter." He can flow all day if he wants to... He still isn't talking about SHIT.

  • @HipHopRally all verses aren't supposed to be about the same thing. the dude isn't stupid. ye wouldn't of put him on the song if he didn't record right. pwall is talking about how his fly vehicle gts him bitches, and provides a break verse in the song for ye, so kanye can go serious in the third verse. you a stupid bitch

  • @BarceMessi

I'm a stupid bitch because I think Kanye should have got someone that can actually rap to be featured on this song??? Did i say all verses have to be about the same thing? I said he missed the concept of the song, the concept of the chorus. That was GLC who was rapping about his car getting him bitches, jackass. All Paul Wall said was he had a slab and a grill, pretty much the same thing he says in EVERY SONG. GLC rapped the majority of the third verse. Ye had 4 bars. stupid bitch

  • @HipHopRally The song is about driving. How did he miss the concept?

  • @Rivers1334

Kanye told a descriptive story of an experience in his past. Paul Wall talked about his cars, grill, rims, women, diamonds. Were they even in the same studio when they recorded this?

  • @HipHopRally your sooooo off it

  • @JayyyLovesYou

is that english? idk what that means.

  • Comment removed

  • @HipHopRally ahah listen to the song agin dawg kanye talks about the same thing But except it was his Homies car. and they would drive around and pull bitchs its just that kanye is more lyrical.

It would of bin doper if he would off putt some one els instead of Paul

Butt Paul wall pulled it of though he didn't ruin the song

  • @GIMMYIIANOTHERIIONEE that's funny because that's exactly what that verse is about..... i never caught that before

  • @HipHopRally Song called drive slow.. y wouldnt he talk about his car??

  • @TheRandomvidz0

Because Kanye's verse was a lot deeper than that.

  • @HipHopRally the song just about cars and cruising and i dont know if you know about houston but they are BIG on cars paul wall verse is mainly houston slang pertaining to cars & stunting on hoes so i doubt he missed the concept especially if ye put him on this song, his verse is dope you obviously just dont know what the fuck youre talking about.

  • @G33K420

I know what his verse is about... thanks for the explanation? But you don't seem to understand what I'm talking about... Baller/ ice rap is played out. He talks about the same shit on every song I have ever heard him on. This song would have been awesome with just Kanye and GLC.

  • @G33K420

Money, hos, cars and rims... How original??? EVERYWHERE is big on cars man.

  • @HipHopRally you probably just heard this song #FUCKOUTTAHERE

  • @7mvproy

This is YOUTUBE, not twitter... "#FUCKOUTTAHERE" lol, faggot.

  • @7mvproy

Back in the day I used to play this song in the whip on my way to pick up your moms from the bus stop... So NO, its definitely not new to me....

  • @HipHopRally

You buggin they all ripped this shit. Drive Slow nigga.

  • @HipHopRally the song is called drive slow, but he missed the concept talkin bout his car? for starters hes not the same type of rapper that kanye is so to compare levels of lyricism with the things they talk about is pointless, they tell their own stories their own ways dont knock paul wall on this he went hard, but since u disagree i really feel like u dont have a grasp on all aspects of hip hop

  • @buffal0b

Just shut up please. "he went hard." Yah, just like Waka Flocka goes hard. Hip-Hop? Rappers like Paul Wall are destroying hip-hop.... if he didn't have anything important to say he might as well just shut the fuck up. My little sister could have wrote a better verse than that.

  • @HipHopRally its a safe bet to say that ur from up north somewhere, maybe west coast....plain and simple, and u dont have a grasp on hip hop theres the proof, who said waka was hip hop? nah he makes club music, he makes that music u can play in the gym, that shit that gets u hyped up before a fight or a football game i could call him the dmx of the south, IF waka had lyrics but he doesnt get deep in his music, nor does paul wall...not all rappers are hip hop guy...sad u dont know that

  • @buffal0b

Maybe you don't understand what the world "concept" means.... a concept is different than the SUBJECT. Just because they were talking about cars doesn't mean that their verses were ANYTHING alike.

  • @HipHopRally obviously u dont know what concept means, i didnt say they sounded alike and of course its different u cant have a concept without a subject....u dont get it, kanye is obviously one of the most highest maintenance artists of our generation, if paul wall was trash why would he get him on the song? oh right

  • @buffal0b

lol, so sure of yourself. This was a commercial radio-single.... Of course he's going to put a popular commercial "baller" rapper as a feature on it. Commercial singles are chasing mass-appeal... and most people are too stupid to tell the difference between a decent rapper and a FUCKING HACK. Paul Wall's raps are so simple even a 10 year old could understand his verses. That's what the music industry expects from hip-hop artists these days. Wake up stupid.

  • @HipHopRally commercial or not its KANYE WEST, why would KANYE WEST work with a GARBAGE ARTIST????? im not out here sayin hes the greatest rapper or even sayin hes a great rapper im sayin his verse isnt bad, and good a 10 year old can understand it, that 10 year old cant understand kanye glc OR ti on the remix, ur one of the ppl that thinks the whole industry should be all pac biggie jay z type shit, expand ur horizons STUPID

  • @buffal0b

lol yes, I would rather have good music than dumbed down bullshit. You're lucky we're not having this conversation face to face. I would smack your dumbass.

  • @HipHopRally u think smackin me over my opinion will make u right at all? nah it would strengthen the fact that u dont know shit about music then follow with u gettin ur ass beat, wow guy way to lose twice in one debate, and no not all rappers that arent complexed are "dumbed down" cuz no matter what u say from now on if u ever went to a club and danced, or turned on a radio and sung a song u just contributed to "dumb music" u hypodrite, 3 losses btw
