Our walmart is crap. They have one isle of costumes, mostly kids, one isle of accessories, mostly small crappy things, and one isle of Christmas stuff, no idea why, and all of the isles are really small...crrraaap. I love Halloween and their just not doing it up to my standards lol.
I dont really care about orientation, its people who matter. The kids seem to be non judgemental so theres a lesson to anyone judging these guys. The thing is parenting here and its pretty good as far as I can see..very good listening and communication skills and outgoing confident kids as a result. Parenting WIN

Plus, when my partner's diabetes and asthma kept getting worse, the only place that I could afford his insulin and nebulizer medication was at Wal Mart. His insulin was around $20 at Wal-Mart. Anywhere else it was around $40. As much as I'd like to support Mom and Pop pharmacies, I can't condone expecting somebody to pay more for meds when it's more affordable elsewhere.

Fun video! Dudes, check with your camera to see if it has an option to select "image stabilization," when recording. When you are walking with a camera, which is always interesting, image stabilization will stabilize the little bumps - so it's a lot easier to watch and doesn't leave our eyeballs jiggling trying to keep up. Other than that - encore!

This year we're having our annual costume party on the 24th, and on Halloween night our front yard will be made into a haunted graveyard, complete with tombstones, fog machine, special lighting, etc. We pride ourselves on having the scariest house in the neighborhood every year.

Wallmart has made its business model on destroying smaller mom and pop stores. I would rather shop any where else but wallmart but sometimes you have to do what you have to do for the kids
That statement is absolutely false, and it frustrates me so much when people show their ignorance when they make statements like that. Walmart's business model is to provide the lowest possible prices on the majority of everyday items so that the average family can save money on things they use all the time. The mom and pop stores that specialize in some niche market are still more than capable of thriving.

Sorry to get up on my soapbox, but yes, I do work for Walmart, in the Home Office. It's not so much that you personally bugged me, it's the fact that so many people believe what they want to believe about anything and everything, not just Walmart. Working in the corporate offices, I see an entirely different side of the company than regular customers (or even store associates) get to see.
The big dogs know what bad things past executives have done to run the reputation of this company into the ground, and honestly, the people in power now are trying to turn that all around. The Walmart Foundation gives away millions of dollars in donations, grants, and scholarships to communities all over the globe every year. I admit, there are some things I won't buy at Walmart, and I will go to a specialty store to get them, but I get most of my everyday items there because of the cost.
Does Wal Mart SPECIFICALLY state in their PnP that they do not discriminate based on sexual orientation yet? When I worked there 10 years ago they did not.
By PnP, do you mean Policies and Procedures? I know for a fact that the EOE statement forbids that type of discrimination, because I was able to get a homophobic bastard fired because he said that having me on our team (as a gay man) was just like having another woman on the team. He said this in one of our team meetings, and I went right down to HR and reported it. They took statements from the rest of my team, and the next day, he was gone.
In fact, some businesses will build new stores in an area where a Walmart is located because it brings more business into their shops. Walmart has even begun reducing the assortment of items it carries so that other stores can pick up and offer those specific brands, thereby bringing traffic into their stores.
Walmart is all about bringing opportunities to communities, and I wish people would make sure they know what they're talking about before making false accusations in a public forum.

At our house we do Hula-ween all tropical with skeletons in hula skirts etc etc,and we have that pink Flamingo already for out tropical Kauna-mas,,with a sparkly teal blue fake palm tree and a beach blanket for a tree skirt.

Your kids are so easy! I always took hours to choose my costume. Of course ours weren't near as cool back then.

I love how serious a decision Halloween costumes are for kids! My nephew is about 10 and it's a fairly stressful choice for him sometimes :) And I love how little Selena is obsessed with shoes and puppies!
The mutiny of the children in not saying what you want is pretty hysterical. Will we get a video of them all decked out and looking fabulous at disney?! They're such intelligent, funny, and well-mannered children - you guys are fabulous parents!

I loved this video so much! I'm a huge Disney fan. I'll be at Walt Disney World in October and going to their Halloween party. So much fun! Loved the comment about "that's another video". Daniel and Selena will look their best! Though I wonder if you'll ever get Selena to relinquish her costume and ruby slippers once she puts them on?!? My little great nieces about her age could not be persuaded to change out of their bridesmaids dresses until long, long after the wedding they were a part of. Halloween will probably be the same!
Looks as if Selena's captivated by the Christmas lights - the next decorating frontier!

That's superb! I remember taking my kids to get their costumes, OMG..... 2 kids and me all alone. Daddy didn't do costume buying he was a stick in the mud. Bryan would look great in that Buba Fet costume for sure. I liked the ball and chain reference! HEE HEE!

Wallmart has made its business model on destroying smaller mom and pop stores. I would rather shop any where else but wallmart but sometimes you have to do what you have to do for the kids

That statement is absolutely false, and it frustrates me so much when people show their ignorance when they make statements like that. Walmart's business model is to provide the lowest possible prices on the majority of everyday items so that the average family can save money on things they use all the time. The mom and pop stores that specialize in some niche market are still more than capable of thriving.

Sorry to get up on my soapbox, but yes, I do work for Walmart, in the Home Office. It's not so much that you personally bugged me, it's the fact that so many people believe what they want to believe about anything and everything, not just Walmart. Working in the corporate offices, I see an entirely different side of the company than regular customers (or even store associates) get to see.

The big dogs know what bad things past executives have done to run the reputation of this company into the ground, and honestly, the people in power now are trying to turn that all around. The Walmart Foundation gives away millions of dollars in donations, grants, and scholarships to communities all over the globe every year. I admit, there are some things I won't buy at Walmart, and I will go to a specialty store to get them, but I get most of my everyday items there because of the cost.

By PnP, do you mean Policies and Procedures? I know for a fact that the EOE statement forbids that type of discrimination, because I was able to get a homophobic bastard fired because he said that having me on our team (as a gay man) was just like having another woman on the team. He said this in one of our team meetings, and I went right down to HR and reported it. They took statements from the rest of my team, and the next day, he was gone.

In fact, some businesses will build new stores in an area where a Walmart is located because it brings more business into their shops. Walmart has even begun reducing the assortment of items it carries so that other stores can pick up and offer those specific brands, thereby bringing traffic into their stores.
Walmart is all about bringing opportunities to communities, and I wish people would make sure they know what they're talking about before making false accusations in a public forum.

Such a cute video. I'm only an Auntie but I hear about my sisters 3 trips to different Targets to find the right costume and right size.
Love the Dorothy costume and ruby slippers. My niece wore this last year and got loads of compliments..and candy. I imagine GI Joe will be a popular costume this year with the movie and all.
I agree with Bryan that Walmart is Evil Christmas flamingo is just kitschy enough for me to want it.

At our house we do Hula-ween all tropical with skeletons in hula skirts etc etc,and we have that pink Flamingo already for out tropical Kauna-mas,,with a sparkly teal blue fake palm tree and a beach blanket for a tree skirt.
