at&t caped DSL may 2nd 2011. I was upset. I was with them for 6 years. im left them. I was crying. because I really liked At&t. I wish they would put it back to unlimited. people are going to have to Switch Earthlink DSL 6mbps 39. month. year contract if u cancel early 90. fee. also you can try it for 30 days. 7 to 14 days to get Earthlink modem. they have there own server.Sad at&t is doing this.

The problem is most networks cards don't support those kinds of speeds so it wouldn't have a big enough market. You wouldn't be able to get the speed it promises.

You probably don't know the difference between Megabit and Megabyte, internet providers measure their speeds in MBIT, 100 MBIT/S connection for example = 12,5 MB/S.

It's the 1000MBIT/S that is realeased, and it's been here in Sweden for more than a year now, we win.

The "1GB/s" you talk about doesn't exist, it's 125 MB/S. End of convo.

It also depends on the isp which is hosting the test. Check my result for example, I took it 2 mins ago:

I only get 50% of my full speed (which is 200mb/s) in the test. But from usenet it downloads at maximum. It translates to 25,000kb/s

PLEASE READ, VERY IMPORTANT. I have Cable and my ping is about 45ms, my Download is about 18mbps. I had 1mbps in upload, but I have a friend who works for the cable company and he just said to call and express you have a terrible upload speed and they'll fix it. I called and they did fix it, I now upload at about 10mbps. So just call your company and ask them to increase your upload. They will remotely access your modem and change a setting on it.

I have the best speed ever! In Canada, SK, you can only get Satellite internet out in the boonies. 700-2900 average ping and max DL speed is 130 KB/s. Additionally, I paid 760$ and 60$ a month for it, and only get 200 MB a day, but 12:00 AM - 5:00 AM at night is free time...fail huh? Come and laugh at me please! hahaha! Poor me. - 1 byte = 8 bits

- that means that you have just under 3000 kBps, which is only about 2.8 megabytes per second download speed (which is not that impressive)
