Fujitec are very rare, although the chime to indicate a change of floors is the same. The directional chime sounds like OTIS. I have been to 11 states, and I have only seen 1 fujitec elevator, that's how rare they are.
Yes, so I would consider them an independent company that passes off as a major brand company. Also, I've been on only 1 Fujitec, and that was at a Barnes & Noble in Houston, 10 years ago. The escalators they had were Schindler, so that's why Fujitec is rare.
Yes, but even things like the door bumpers, or door motors are completely different designs. i wonder if Fujitec expanded into North America through acquisitions of US elevator companies. The only part the same as Japanese elevators is the flashing of the Up/Down indicators when elevators arrive.

In the description, you said Otis instead of Fujitec!

Because of the Atlanta Intercontinental Hotel elevators, this is a Fujitec elevator.

If you're wondering, this could also be a Fujitec Elevator (ever heard of them), since they only serve large cities.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Maybe, but probably not.

Fujitec is one of the biggest elevator manufacturers in Japan, though their elevators in North America are nothing like the ones here.
MrQweqweqweqwe 2 years ago
That's because they have to comply with American design/accessibility standards, which are the strictest in the world

That's because they use many American parts for their elevators here. The door components are manufactured by GAL, with safety components by Janus.

I've seen a Fujitec escalator, I don't think the elevator was Fujitec.

I go to RIT in Rochester, NY and most of our elevators have that style floor indicator and between-floors beep. The buttons, however, are different.

You forgot to change the description to otis.
