Good vid, although I'd really have prefered the explanation done by voice, instead of having to read all that text and therefore not being able to watch the fight.

The healbot bashers are just plain dumb. Healbot is just a way of fixing an extreme annoyance in the normal UI's raid frames, your comparison to a macro was an excellent point.

I was one of the best healers on my realm, with or without the add-on, so I'm pretty sure I can give a solid opinion on this matter.

Well this is my older layout, but it's still similar. Here's what I use:

Healbot (For healing, also popular is Grid + Clique)

X-Perl Unitframes (Replaces standard frames, customizable/movable)

- PallyPower (Paladin Buffs, ZOMGbuffs is also good.)

- Titanbar/Titanpanel (Bar w/info at top of screen, handy)

- Prat (Chat window customization)

- Recount (Damage/healing tracking)

- Quartz (Cast bars)

Yes, because when I play a GAME!!!! I want it to be as easy as possible...not! I heal everything with no healbot because I want the added difficulty. Otherwise I might as well play some other easy game like Final Fantasy or something. And it may not translate into skill, it does however translate into quicker reflexes. If you want hard, play Contra. No codes. World of Warcraft is never hard, no matter how stupidly you play. It's an MMO - team effort, making it harder on yourself makes it harder on everyone else.

But if he isnt screwing anyone in the raid and keeps everyone alive without heal bot, is he a bad healer for not using healbot? I can understand it would make a job easier to use a machine to build cars and do other assorted items, but this is a video game and he has the right to exercise his ideas on how a should be played. And a How-to-video is not an add-on, it doesnt completely spoon feed you the whole process. But hey, some people need the help, and some dont.

Actually, this DOES spoon-feed you the whole process, that's the point of it. :P

Healbot doesn't actually DO anything, it won't heal for you and it won't tell you what to do. It's a raid window that eliminates the need to target (just like a macro) and allows you to bind heals to mouse buttons. (Just like a macro.)

It's a big fancy macro with a GUI.

It really does spoon-feed you. Unlike other videos, this particular one actually interacts with the video with the bubbles (DUH). So in this case, doesn't even matter which point of view the video takes place from.

is it possible 2 have 1 range dps put 20 stacks on the snaplasher by himslef then kite it around?

It is, but it doesn't need to be kited once it has 20 stacks. That's the trick! They just keep the stacks on.

The other DPS need to be able to stop if necessary though, for the Snaplasher to catch up. Unless the single ranged DPS you put on it is uber.

Any special ranged thats good on The snaplasher? or will any ranged dps do the trick?

Any ranged DPS that's willing should work - we generally keep a Mage on the task, though. And I'm not entirely sure if DoTs keep the debuff/buff on the Snap, so be wary of putting an Affliction Warlock on it unless you're willing to take a risk to find out.

Either way, Freya is really easy once you've got the general idea down. We got her down with a single elder down on our first attempt (at Medium Mode) so that should tell you something about how strat-only-based it is.

Thanks, and I do.  I have about 826 haste when raid buffed. (I also used Elixirs of Lightning Speed and Very Burnt Worg/Imperial Manta Ray for almost 100 extra haste.)

This, mixed with Judgments of Pure results in extremely fast casting, which I value over bigger heals or crits, since I usually melee for mana.

Excellent guide i like the reminders all along seeing it multiple times during the the video makes you remember everything easier and look out for everything thats going on.

Thanks! I agree that reminders throughout the length of the video help in the best way possible - repetition and reconfirmation. That way if something was a little poorly explained the first time, seeing it the second time should reinforce what should be happening.

we faaaaailed :p i was tanking freya (happily) and the dps went berserk on the adds. but some retarded moron kept dpsing on the "romulo & juliette" wannabes so 1 got killed and the rest was on like 60-70%.

Unfortunate, your DPS has to know their role and listen! Good to hear you managed so well with a PUG though. It really is an extremely easy fight when your DPS gets the swing of things.
