Flashing Benq with lt+2.0

Hey man, I have a 2006 xbox 360 with a Hitachi drive. I had it flashed many years ago but read that I need new firmware to play new games. Can that drive be flashed with the new firmware? If so i would def be interested in you doing it. Thanks man

Hey youtube!!! I try to be nice to people on them sending me there consoles, but every so often you will get someone that, no matter how hard you explain to them it doesn't matter. I was sent a 2006 console with a benq spoofed as a Hitachi. I kept the spoof and flashed it to lt.2.0, then said that they would need to buy a hitachi drive to update there console (because the update flashes the drives, but the only way the update will work is if they have the original drive in the console)

@M0DCOW after the update is applied then they can swap out the hitachi for the spoofed benq that has been flashed to lt2.0.....I was very informative, however since they are not knowledgeable on the subject, they instantly know everything....thus not listening to me.

@LanzX360 This is safe!! Make sure you stealth your games properly though!!! With xgd3 disc make sure you have the burner max drive!!

Hey ! when i select "Benq unlock" a box comes up and it says"Tha drive on I/0 port

0x01F0 has windows drive letter D:\ assigned to it. This may cause read back issues. Do you wish to disable D:\ "Yes/No"??

@RolleBalodis94 You need to make sure that your via card is uninstalled in windows, and that your sata cable is plugged into the rear of the card....Let me know if you need more help!

@jaabirana if you put the HDMI in the console will turn off.....I use A/V so the console does NOT turn off. Ok, 1. do you have the correct VIA card? 2. if so, you need to have your sata cord plugged into the back port on the card. 3. if those do not work, uninstall your driver for your sata card....if you need to know how let me know!

@RolleBalodis94 when you open your dvd drive the part where the disk goes on is different for eatch of the different drives if you google xbox dvd reconistion it will come up think its the top one or 2nd

@modcow, thx to ur video, i was able to do the lt+ 2 flahing in my benq.. i latest game i have burnt is gunstringers, which is runing smooth.. but my old assasins creed and fable 3 didnt run, but red dead redemption, la noire, portal 2 all run fine. Can you tell me if theres any restrictions for those two games (may be ap 2.5) in lt+ 2.0?

Thanks!! So my procedure. On Kinect Dashboard (2.0.12625.0), flash LTPlus-benq-v1.1bin, then update from USB from file on your description, then reflash with LTPlus-benq-v2.0.bin.  Please confirm? @M0DCOW I got it lol! Basically what happened was jungleflasher said something about No Key so all of my games said (play DVD) even original ones. I had my key saved a long time ago but couldn't port it out although jungleflasher had saved the key history and showed me when I flashed it. I finally found a way to get the key back onto the drive and now it works. Thanks for the tutorial.

i heard you say that the version 1.1 is the one that people haven't update online. Mine was updated via Kinect since my XBOX is ban so i can't connect to the internet but there were updates via game disc for the kinect. Will i still be using the version 1.1 or the 2.0?? @hl88hl You only need to flash to 1.1 to update your console/dashboard to the latest, than reflash to 2.0. Because the previous update reflashed the drives. You can update via usb or cd.

@mikehandel Yes you need VIA VT6421A, they are really cheap!!! It is safest to update via usb drive from xbox.com. If you are not on the newest dashboard you need to flash to 1.1 then update to the latest dashboard....then flash to 2.0

Guys if you do not have the new dashboard, you need to flash to 1.1 than download the update from microsoft and update to the latest (I recommend using a flash drive) than after you are fully updated you can flash to 2.0.

Quick question. i had a ben q drive and had to switch it out for another ben q drive. when i go to flash the new drive the keys dont match up. the guy that did it said it is because its looking for my original drive key of the old dvd drive. did that make sense? how do i get around this
