@420chronmasta While I do agree with the facts you presented, please look at cyber(.)law(.)harvard.edu/evidence99/marijuana/Health_1(.)html for another perspective of marijuana. Also, research the Mexican Drug Cartels. Marijuana is especially dangerous in gang wars. If marijuana is legalized, how would that affect the power of already existing drug gangs?
In 1975, Alaska's Supreme Court held that under their State Constitution an adult could possess marijuana for personal consumption in the home.
The court's ruling became a green light for marijuana use. A 1988 University of Alaska survey showed that the state's teenagers used marijuana at more than twice the national average for their age group. The report also showed a frequency of marijuana use that suggested it wasn't experimental, but a well incorporated practice for teens.
@jenn1ifer And they only reason Canada made it illegal again was because the US government threatened to shut down industrial trade across the border if they made it legal, so they had no choice.
@jenn1ifer No one has ever died from Marijuana, yet 100 of millions worldwide die from ciggarettes and alcohol and you think marijuana is worse?I dont get how people can even think it is worse for you, even meds kill millions of people and noone cares they blame it on the weed, i dont understand the logic people use nowdays. Tell me when you find on the news someone died from marijuana overdose then you will have proof its bad for you.
@420chronmasta Marijuana has cancer producing substances which are the equivalent of a packs of cigarettes per joint. The idea that "No one has ever died from Marijuana" is incorrect since the increases the cancer risk is directly caused by the Marijuana.
Fed up with this dangerous experiment, Alaska's residents voted in 1990 to recriminalize possession of marijuana. But 15 years of legalization left its mark-increased drug use by a generation of our youth.
The effects of marijuana use include: memory loss, distorted perception, trouble with thinking and problem solving, loss of motor skills, decrease in muscle strength, increased heart rate, and anxiety2. 2National Institue of Drug Abuse, Journal of the American Medical Association, Journal of Clinical Phamacology, International Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Pharmacology Review.
Hey, it's me, Jen, and I'd like to apologize for the stupid things I have done. I created this account as an attempt to troll, but I now realize how stupid this all is and I now wish to stop.
I realize that the information I've been copying & pasting is unreliable, myth, lies and propaganda. Ignore all of my stupid posts; there's worthless.
Weed is actually much safer than alcohol and tobacco, and it should be RE-legalized.
There are many more pros than cons about weed, and it is hypocritical to keep weed illegal when both alcohol and cigarettes and legal. What we put in OUR own bodies isn't and shouldn't be the government's choice.
So remember;
Just Say Now.
Yes We Cannabis.
Free the Weed.
Free Mark Emery.
RE-legalize marijuana! It is time we stop this non-sense "drug-war" and do what is right.
@jenn1ifer and what about people with chronic pain, they should stay on meds the rest of thier life instead of doing something 100 natural? i dont think so.
I believe the smokers of both tobacco and marijuana leading to increased emphysema rates is due to the effects of smoking tobacco in reducing the urge to cough.
Not only all of those benefits but also.... you could grow something in your own backyard that would be able to solve many issues for which you currently run to Walgreen's or Target.
i could grow enought in my back yard to supply all my homies and then some so that would take 1000lbs away from mexico also are helicopters good for the enviroment/budget if i know they were so good for the environment and so cheap why doesn't everybody have there own fleet like law enforcment?
This has and always and will be a battle against law enforcement. They have the guns and extended power and that will be hard to remove from them. We are taking jobs away from their force and they fear that, because them become less of a threat towards us. I love when he tries to rebuttal. He has nothing to say, only what he's told to say. Stupid cops
I have 5 incurable medical conditions (I know, hard to believe) that cause me almost unendurable pain on a daily basis. But i am not able to get relief from "traditional" pain management options. Cannabis works beautifully, but I cant get it legally. Why should i have to risk jail time for pain relief? People are allowed to get opiates and alcohol legally, but pain management for people like me is illegal. Why???
medical marjuana needs to be legal. NOT for everyone who is 21 and over. medical marijuana has NOTHING to do with legalizing it to evryone. It should be for the sick and dieing ONLY.
i really hate when people have to speak into mics that are turned way the hell up, and they end up speaking really quietly, and you can hear every little noise there mouth makes every time they close and open it. and all the S sounds make that shrill ssssssss thats horribly loud over p.a. haha that guy also said that marijuana had 33 of the same carcinogens as marijuana, so there ya go
this guy got owned. he repeated himself the same time, the people pushing for legalization have a more compelling argument and well rounded approach

A compromised drug-free workplace
And ZERO revenue for the State of California

Like all "tickets" it is not the ticket but the related impact.
Speeding Ticket = increased insurance
Weed Ticket = No federal job or grant opportunities = non educated citizens = increased crime
