Also, research the Mexican Drug Cartels. Marijuana is especially dangerous in gang wars. If marijuana is legalized, how would that affect the power of already existing drug gangs?

In 1975, Alaska's Supreme Court held that under their State Constitution an adult could possess marijuana for personal consumption in the home.

The court's ruling became a green light for marijuana use. A 1988 University of Alaska survey showed that the state's teenagers used marijuana at more than twice the national average for their age group. The report also showed a frequency of marijuana use that suggested it wasn't experimental, but a well incorporated practice for teens.

@420chronmasta Marijuana has cancer producing substances which are the equivalent of a packs of cigarettes per joint. The idea that "No one has ever died from Marijuana" is incorrect since the increases the cancer risk is directly caused by the Marijuana.

There are many more pros than cons about weed, and it is hypocritical to keep weed illegal when both alcohol and cigarettes and legal. What we put in OUR own bodies isn't and shouldn't be the government's choice.

I believe the smokers of both tobacco and marijuana leading to increased emphysema rates is due to the effects of smoking tobacco in reducing the urge to cough.

Not only all of those benefits but also.... you could grow something in your own backyard that would be able to solve many issues for which you currently run to Walgreen's or Target.

This has and always and will be a battle against law enforcement. They have the guns and extended power and that will be hard to remove from them. We are taking jobs away from their force and they fear that, because them become less of a threat towards us. I love when he tries to rebuttal. He has nothing to say, only what he's told to say. I have 5 incurable medical conditions (I know, hard to believe) that cause me almost unendurable pain on a daily basis. But i am not able to get relief from "traditional" pain management options. Cannabis works beautifully, but I cant get it legally. Why should i have to risk jail time for pain relief? People are allowed to get opiates and alcohol legally, but pain management for people like me is illegal. Why???
