Just thought you could help me....well I bought a pair of ep630 and they sound great, theres also a year's warranty with it but am just skeptical about one thing which is that "creative" is written no where on the ear phone. Sure I got it with a packaging but on the ear phone its missing. You do you reckon??

@need4peace im pretty sure the creative ep-630 just has the A logo on the side and the corresponding L or R on the ear pieces , if they sound good and the ends are equal length you should have the real earphones

@need4peace that was along time ago when i had those ep630 and they broke i think they got caught in the ebrake gear in my subaru , as for the ep-830 they got caught in my friends pants and he stepped on them as he got out of my car a year and a half ago after Christmas ,

the jvc air cushions i got for $15 i think after that lasted over a year they were phenominal but after so much abuse the connection started going bad and i had to kink the plug in order to hear ,

I would go for the EP630 in terms of sound quality and price, however the Smokin' Buds have a much better build quality (and come with a case, not all EP630s do).

The Skull Candy buds also have an in-line volume control, but you can get this on the EP630i if you look around -- it should be around the same price.

Oh and, the EP630 buds are far more comfortable than the SC.

Just wanted to state, probably take all Skull Candy reviews with a pinch of salt. There's a lot of hate due to a certain demographic whoring them off.

My Skull Candy Smokin' Buds are great, but they aren't as comfortable as the Creative EP630 buds (even more uncomfortable if you switch the rubber adaptors).

The SC also don't have 'as' good quality as the EP630. If you listen to very high quality music, including high bitrate FLAC, you'll never use the SC again.

Both are good, but Creative wins.

Yes you may get OEM cheaper. It is the same looking earphones , but with simple package. Mostly used as free accessories for some expensive brand products.

Though if you look closer all ~7$ priced EP630's are OEM with simple package and Creative sticker on it or no package at all.

Sorry to have to rain on your review, but these phones arent that good sounding compared to others ive used.

I tend to use over-ear headphones like Direct Isolation EX-29s so im very used to flat, mod-friendly sound. the bass on these earbuds make everything sound a bit more muddy than i care to hear. nothing sounds very crisp at all. the bass always ruins that for me.

My phones are not noise canceling. they are isolating. they enclose your entire ears to give you a better range of sound from the speakers. if you think they're too big, you should try them first. they fit and sound awesome. better then in-ear suction cups that deprive air flow.
