but really this kind of play, especially the anti air pokes are soooooooooo fucken CHEAP!

i'm so sick of coming across chun li players that sit in the corner spaming fireballs and then use these cheaps as pokes when you try to advance and i'm not talking about just boxers players, i don't even use balrog.

this game needs a parry, that would solve a problem to all this defensive poke play.

This is an excellent match-up video, but to anyone who reads this, try not to get *too* confortable with absorbing the dash punches with a Focus Attack because Balrog may do his Armor Breaker and put you in a bad position (red zone with disadvantage). Nothing too big, but still worth a mention, I think.

The only thing missing in this video and something I've been experimenting with in the match up is Option-Selecting all dash punches not spaced correctly.

His straight comes in 4, upper in 5, and his high and lows in 12 and 22. So this means if you just throw out a back throw after the 5th active frame, you'll throw your opponent out of any High or Low dash punch and block all other punches. You have a 4 frame window where you can safely throw and have it work, and I find it the best option.

@ecliptik nah not significant, just even, the reason why they are a 5-5 matchup. OHT never said he had know idea to counter Balrog, just that it one of HIS bad matchups, just because he says he have trouble with Rog's doesn't mean Chung Li have trouble with Rog's, there is a difference. He knows the match up, but some ppl still just have trouble with it. For example NBA teams know how to stop Lebron James, but actually going out there to do it is a different story.

@bookerjj What you say is true, but I think OHT said in earlier vids (like vs TKK) that he knew it was supposed to be an even match, but didn't quite know how to play it. It's one thing to know a match is 5-5, it's a different thing to actually know how maximize your advantage. It's the difference between having to study and having to just practice, and OHT has clearly been studying. :)

Honda's a good match-up for Chun, stay away, throw lots of Kikokens and when he jumps use st.forward (beats all but one of his jump ins. If he gets close do jabs to st.strong to Kikoken to push him away or throw and safe up over him to get more space
