  • Polamalu is a freaking beast. No one can argue with that.

  • he can intercept any pass. Best strong safety in the NFL

  • go troy

  • nobody calls interceptions picks anymore

  • This is the best quality video I've seen so far. Watching football highlights and they are all horribly pixelated.

  • how can you say ED Reed is even relevant.

  • troy polamalu is the real life sampson

  • Had no idea that Troy Polamalu was a lefty or is he ambidextrous?

  • @vincenzo15yrs Neither, he is just that good.

  • he is to good

  • What a beast

  • sunday sunday sunday sunday!

  • Yeah he was playing with an achilles tendon. But to all the Steeler fans, how good is everyone looking this year. Can't wait till Sunday!!!

  • Steelers Fans-Fuck Yeah!!!

Titans Fans-WTF am i wearing this jersey!!! (takes it off and puts a 43 jersey on)

  • He was injured and shouldn't have been playing last year in the playoffs... Great int tho, too bad he got injured in this game too

  • god i am getting so pumped for this season

  • I am a Cow boys fan but that was good

  • troy polamalu is a beast i agree tho he didnt do much in the play offs

  • Dirty Catch

  • @Jake100600 lol troy polamalu is good but how can you say he is a better leader ed reed and ray lewis have led there team for so long

Plus if you look at the stats there's no comparison ed reed is much better

  • Polamalu and Reed are two great safeties yes reed gets more interceptions but i like polamalu better because he is a better tackler and a better leader and although he has less interceptions he gets interceptions when there most needed

  • Stfu abt this ed reed and troy polamalu shit.. im a ravens fan but gud god they play different positions and let the experts speak abt there different styles of play good god all mighty ppl SHUT UP.. and this is not a diss as sum of u lik to throw at ppl u dont kno !!!

  • Reed and Polu play different positions, so they do different things. Reed is more of a pimp, imo, but either guy would be a great teammate anywhere.

  • Didn't the Titans win this particular (regular season) game though? But this was the year I believe that the Titans were eliminated in the playoffs by the Ravens in the first round and the Steelers actually went on to win the Super Bowl. If I'm right anyway, it would be kind of like that one Eagles game where Randall Cunningham made that spectacular scramble and TD throw against the Bills but the Eagles ended up losing anyway.

  • @danning1 No, the only time the titans won in the past 5 or 6 years was the 2008 game in nashville. Pitt won 13-10 in OT this game

  • @illuzion54 You are correct, this is not the 2008 game I was thinking of, because that game was played in Tennessee, not Pittsburgh. You can understand my confusion though, because Kerry Collins was quarterback for the Titans in both games.

  • @danning1 Nope, that was the season before this one.

  • A lot of SS's and CB's that intercepted that would've just layed there on the ground but he's great because he wants those extra yards. He doesn't stop on the play.

  • @RavensDude52 first of all, think before you talk. Second, I guarantee most NFL players aren't fast enough to make that play. Third, it must really suck getting kicked out of the playoffs year after year after year...

  • Reed is better in coverage and makes more INT's, Polamalu is great and an outstanding hustler, but I've gotta give the edge to Reed.

  • and people say he can't cover

  • the whole offensive lineup that was on that play disliked this

  • the whole offense that was on that play disliked this

  • Now, I'm gonna try to end the Ed Reed - Troy Polamalu argument. When you want and interception, you want Troy. When you want a defensive touchdown, you get Ed Reed. Troy is a better tackler and all around defensive player. And Ed Reed is like a running back / wide reciver in the backfield. And he has more Swagger then Troy. I'm not picking which one is better, just giving the facts on them both.

  • @RavensDude52 I would LOVE to see Ed Reed make a play like this. Or what he did against San Diego in 2008. Reed could NEVER do something like that! Reed only plays half the field. Troy is everywhere. Ed Reed is overrated. There's more to being a safety then picking the ball off. And Reed's so called 'hard-hits' on Knowshon Moreno and Dexter McCluster were both led with his helmet. Ed Reed has never been a factor in the playoffs. That's why he doesn't have a Super Bowl ring. Come at me bro!

  • @firegecko12356 idiot.you just commended troy for such an amazing pick then you say picks are overrated.one handed picks are overrated. typical steelers fan:unable to formulate an argument without contradicting themselves in some way.youre an imbecile, reed cant make that play?he only has double the picks troy has (54 to 27), 5x the returned yards and 3x the TDs.that forced fumble on flacco required no talent either: unblocked, blind side?too bad he always gets scorched in the SB (fitz, jennings)

  • @NFLFAN10 I said YARDS after picks don't matter you fucking moron. Reed makes picks. Troy does that and then some. SS's do more than FS's. Troy has more total tackles (515 to 495) and Sacks (8 to 5). If Troy focused on one of these things, then he would run Reed into the ground. And at least Troy has been to a Super Bowl and won 2. Reed would get scorched just as bad by those 2, if not worse. Reed is the most overrated, overhyped player to ever play the game.

  • @firegecko12356 if you read your comment idiot you would know that you said "There's more to being a safety then picking the ball off."youre retarted.and wtf do you mean"at least troy has won 2 SB"?its a team accomplishment and those stats you gave have a miniscule difference.20 tackle difference?3 sack difference?formulate a better argument than that.if troy focused on one of these things? lol what does that mean?the production of FS and SS is totally dependent on player skill anc scheme too

  • @NFLFAN10 There is more to being a SS. It's a very different position. Troy does more all-around things on defense. This is what makes him better. He's all over the field. Reed only plays the back end of the field. I've never seen a highlight of Ed Reed doing something other than an interception. Troy does more, and that's what makes him better. And he has the talent to pull off spectacular plays like this, and the one against San Diego in 2008. Never seen Reed make plays like those!

  • @firegecko12356 ed reed has done this before. he has picked off eli manning with one hand. you don't even watch football if you say reed does nothing in the playoffs. ed reed has 8 playoff picks. how many does polamalu have. 2? maybe 3? you're an idiot for saying reed doesn't make plays in the playoffs. and yeah, he makes interceptions a few inches off the ground all the time (browns 2004, bengals 2010, redskins 2008, etc..) those reed hits were clean dumbass, watch them. how is reed overrated?

  • @RavensDude52 Really? 'Cause I just looked for it on youtube and I can't find it. If Reed does something in the playoffs, why has he not won the Super Bowl? Polamalu made the play that sent us to Super Bowl XLIII. And What has Reed done against the Steelers other than get put out on his ass by Hines? Reed generates a lot of false hype around him for his pick sixes. Troy does more. He plays the whole field. Reed only plays half. That is what makes Reed overrated and Troy better.

  • @firegecko12356 watch his highlights, you'll see it. take polamalu off the steelers and they probably have seven rings cuz anybody would play better than he does. he doesn't show up in the super bowl and is a big reason why the steelers lost. clearly you think winning a championship is only the job of one player. it's a TEAM effort. ryan clark made the play that sent you to XLIII. false hype? you're an idiot. you don't understand that the things reed has done will never be done by anyone else

  • @RavensDude52 So, Ben's interceptions and Mendenhall's fumble wouldn't matter? Your an idiot. We lost as a team. Not because of 1 player. I haven't seen Reed make any plays to help the Ravens win in the postseason. Ryan Clark made the play? REALLY? YOU ARE A MORON! And Bens inaccuracy? More like he just threw it away. He kept the ball away from Reed. Yes, he makes several pick sixes and gets false hype. He only plays half the field. Troy plays the whole field. Your clearly just a Ratbirds fanboy

  • @firegecko12356 yeah, you win as a team and lose as a team, but obviously you don't understand that. you think troy polamalu is the only reason the steelers made super bowl 43 but when he gets burnt twice in 45 you blame the team. you don't make any sense. yeah, ryan clark laid out mcgahee forcing the fumble that sealed the win. re-watch the entire 2010 divisional game, reed was right there and ben threw the ball just a few feet over his reach. pick 6 if it's an accurate throw. troy's overrated

  • @RavensDude52 Oh, I don't understand that? You just said we'd have 7 rings if we didn't have Troy! When did I say Troy is the only reason we made that Super Bowl? Troy's Pick Six is what sealed the Championship win. I doubt the Ravens could overcome a 23-14 deficit against the NFL's #1 defense with a rookie QB in like 4 minutes. Ben threw the ball away from Ed Reed. If all NFL QB's were smart enough to throw away from Ed Reed, he wouldn't be known at all. Now quit being a fanboy you moron.

  • @firegecko12356 anything is possible. there have been some remarkable comebacks in the league. all qb's do throw away from ed reed. at least they think they do. that's why he's the best. he makes receivers look wide open and when the qb throws it to them, ed steps in and makes the int for a big play. he confuses both peyton and tom, the two best qb's in the league. reed's ability to be able to do it all makes him the best

  • @RavensDude52 Possible, but highly unlikely. I think Manning's comeback against the Bucs probably had better odds. Reed has not played a factor in some big games the way Troy has. Again, look at his pick-six in the Championship game. Look at his fumble in Week 13. In both of these games, Reed was a non-factor, while Troy made the game-changing plays. If Reed made more of these, he'd have at least a couple rings. And if you say anybody is better than Troy, then yeah, you're a total fanboy.

  • @firegecko12356 that's only 2 plays. and one of them nobody blocked him. that sack fumble was a free run to flacco, and nobody blocked. shaun suisham could have made that play. that did not win them the game, dawan landry's missed tackle on isaac redman won them the game. reed makes big plays all the time. ed reed and adrian wilson are both better than polamalu. sick of arguing what's obvious. this isn't even a debate, reed is better than everybody else. i'm done.

  • @RavensDude52 Never seen Reed make a play like that. Polamalu makes more plays in the clutch. The Steelers would never have been in position to win that game without that turnover. Reed NEVER makes any big plays against the Steelers. All he's done is get put out on his ass by Hines. Polamalu, Sanders, Wilson, Collins, Thomas, Bethea, Delmas, Harper, and LaRon Landry are all better. Reed is the most overrated player ever. This isn't a debate. This is me kicking your fucking ass you moronic fanboy

  • @RavensDude52 First of all go fuck yourself. Second Troy leads Reed in two crucial categories sacks and tackles and yeah i did my research. Also remind me cuz i forgot how many rings does Reed have.In the clutch Troy is goin to come out with the big time plays while Reed is a nonfactor.Reed on the other hand is just a ball hawk he comes out of no where with a pick(whichTroy can do too just not as much as Reed)as of 2010 he was listed overall as the 9th best denfensive player in the history of nfl

  • im goin to pick Polumalu over Reed any day. Also Reed is Injury Prone and hasnt played a full season since 2008 .

  • @firegecko12356 watch the divisonal round this year. steelers were in the red zone and ben threw a pass for hines ward. but, luckily for pittsburgh the pass was way too high for anyone to catch. ed reed came in and undercut the route, he would have had a 100+ yd int td, but roethlisberger's inaccuracy cut the steelers a break. polamalu is overhyped and overrated. you seriously need to watch the games and see how often polamalu is out of position in coverage or misses a tackle. it happens a lot

  • @RavensDude52 he said reed dont do shit when he plays the steelers..o takles o picks..o bat downs.....hes a non factor every time there season is on the line....he guessed on the steelers and mike wallace smoked his ass

  • @RavensDude52 polamalu is not over rated either

  • i love how at the end of the video is shows him flop on the ground for a second before he gets up:)

  • I pray for troys health and hopefully many more years with the Steelers... he has been such a blessing for the team

  • Snatchies!

  • the quality is fuckin beast on this video. especially for 360p

  • troy is a part time ninja.

  • Hey Ravensdude, remind your team that their goal this offseason is to get to the playoffs and lose to the steelers. hahaha! Troy Polamalu is very talented and, imo, the most electrifying defender in the league.

  • You just got Polamalu'd.

  • I pretty much hate the steelers, but i'll admit it... Troy gets nice

  • That was one of his most beautiful interceptions.. its ashame that Alge Crumpler fell on him.. That wouldve been another amazing year and yet another probowl.

  • @garyb12001 watch the games, you'll see. look back on the entire season, and you will see.

  • @garyb12001 it wasn't all santonio. winning a championship is a team effort. but in the playoffs, santonio holmes was responsible for almost all of the steelers big plays and td's. he was the main part of the offense that completed the game winning drive. take holmes off the team, and the steelers don't win it all

  • @garyb12001 saying ed reed isn't clutch is "moronic." he has over 20 career ints in the 4th quarter, reed comes up big. yes holmes is the reason the steelers won super bowl 43. both games against baltimore, he had td's, including the game winner where he barely crossed the plane. in the playoffs, he had 2 td's vs. san diego and 1 against us in the afc championship. then, in the superbowl, not only did he make the game-winning catch, but he got them there from a big reception earlier in the drive

  • @garyb12001 take santonio off that team, and the 2008 steelers don't even make the playoffs. and i'm pretty sure when you have a free run to the quarterback, it's easy to force a fumble, nobody blocked him, and the playcall was horrendous. you're basing polamalu being better than reed off of 2 plays in his career. 2! that's it? that doesn't even come close to the number of play's ed's made and you don't see ed missing tackles like polamalu does. polamalu's the most overrated player in the league

  • Troy is too awesome

  • Troy "Glue Hands" Polamalu?

  • @cda395 no

  • Im not a steelers fan but palumalu is a beast.. reminds me of patrick willis in the secondary

  • Troy took a dump on the Titans this game!

  • Omg, you Ravens and Steelers fans need to stop bitching. They are both great safeties.

  • wow even as a packer fan i can admit that was an epic catch. al michaels should sound more excited than he is

  • @gopackgo41 I miss Madden. Collinsworth is about as exciting to listen to as Ben Stein announcing arrivals at the bus station.

  • People comparing Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu...Why?? they play two completely different positions and they are the BEST at their positions... But if you want to compare .I guess Troy comes up bigger in the games vs each other.. Reed usually is a non factor vs the steelers and ward is always putting him on his ass with LEGAL blocks...still respect him though and hes a HOF player and one of the greats..Troy with a few more seasons of great play will be a HOF player as well..LETS ALL GET ALONG HERE!!

  • everyone, thumbs up 43 times for troy's number

  • Reed was the best defender in his prime, but now it's Troy's time and he is the reigning DPOY. You don't win the awawrd being the best defender for being the 2nd best defender.....

  • @garyb12001 thats cool I'm not trying to convert you or chastise you, I'm really just tryin to make the one point that Steeler fans should go read up on the zone-blitz and take note of Dick lebeaus positioning of Troy as opposed to Strong safeties on other defenses. Troys no typical player and he plays for no typical defense. It irks me when fans take their teams for granted (like Saints thinkin Drew Brees was the #1 reason they won the superbowl) , but you already knew that :)

  • @garyb12001 your completely disregarding defensive schemes, plays, positioning, the offense's perception of the defense based on in-play positioning, and possibly the simple differences between Free Safeties and Strong Safeties. but you did remove your comment so maybe you realized those things

  • @garyb12001 I'll give you one name: Ronnie Lott

  • the best interception ever ight here

  • Troy was showing Michael Griffn how to really get a pick, because Mike made a pick six the year before, Troy's int was better w/o the pick

  • I watched this live and ejaculated

  • Which pixel is Polama.... Wrong video this is beautiful

  • Steeler bandwagoners dont know football. Reed>Polomalu, many players and coaches who aren't being humble will laugh in your face and tell you that. Keep in mind though, Dick Lebeau is an absolute genius

  • @CaLbaTr00se actually, ESPN's power rankings on the top safeties in the league put Polamalu at #1. unless they're all being humble?

  • @N86Dawg come on man...ESPN POWER RANKINGS???? damn I guess theres no way refuting those power ranks....

  • @CaLbaTr00se well your last comment made it seem Steeler fans are the only people who think Polamalu is better than Reed. i'm just saying that the ESPN analysts think it too. They all voted for Reed at number two as well.

I wasn't trying to say "ESPN SAID IT SO ITS AUTOMATICALLY RIGHT!" I was just saying that Steeler fans aren't the only ones who think Troy > Ed.

  • @N86Dawg ah well sorry for making my first comment seem more against Steeler fans. Looking back I see how what i put looks like a generalization. I literally meant steeler "bandwagoners," like people who flock to your franchise without being true bleed black and yellow fans, are hyped when they compare Reed and Polamalu based on stylish play or ESPN power rankings (not a dig to you). Obviously I'm siding with the Ed Reed is better side, while keeping in mind

  • 1) Ed Reed is better at the pass and comparable against the run to Troy. Troy's a "fiercer tackler" but sometimes overruns plays and his tackling impact, while important, is probably more important only because of the defense he plays for (Lebeau doesn't use Troy like a vanilla SS). Otherwise, actually tackling is more or less equal.

    2) Stats don't say everything. But Reed has produced more TDs and Turnovers than Troy

    3) They are still playing. Its possible all our talking is premature.

  • @CaLbaTr00se haha, its cool man. i'm just glad you aren't a big homer yourself. i hate arguing with people like that. obviously i'm gonna side with Polamalu because I'm a Steeler fan. but if we didn't have Troy, I'd be sending letters to Art Rooney everyday to trade for Ed Reed. he's really good.

  • People say Ed Reed is the best?? cmon the best safety in the league has to be able to hit hard Ed reed cant hit to save his life better yet tackle Troy on the other hand Can do anything ed reed can do but better and he can hit you hard enough to kill you

  • omg this catch makes me want to just scream"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" dam thats crazy go steelers!

  • im a colts fan so fuck you steelers!!

  • @daglacier97 u mad??? hahahahah

  • @daglacier97 Hahahaha the colts did not even make it to the superbowl soooo you colt fan hit da road at least my team made it to the superbowl & us steelers did our best ;))))))))))

  • @FiA80811 oh im sorry i ment to sat fuck you titans. i didnt know that you were gonna get all offensive like that

  • @daglacier97 What the hell hahaha GET A LIFE PLEASE!!!!!!!!

  • @FiA80811 what the fuck does this have to do with me having a life or not you have no life for bringing that up. this is a football discussion, dont get off topic you fucktard

  • @daglacier97 Bahahahahahahahahaha somebody is poorsport! You sound like a little bitch stop crying already fag. Why who is yo team i bet they suck as you faka grwo up please!!!!!!!!!!

    STEELERS NATION!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @FiA80811 first learn some fucking english and second you are really dense because i even told you i was a colts fan dumbass you know the team that made it to the playoffs 9 seasons in a row and a QB 3 times better that ben fucklisburger

  • @daglacier97 You know the Steelers are undefeated all-time against the Dolts in the playoffs right?

  • @bam062988 and how many playoffs have the steelers been in?

  • @bam062988 im not arguing with u i actually want 2 know

  • @daglacier97 Alright, the Colts have 14 and the Steelers have 25...The important question, however, is what did your team do with the playoff appearances?

  • @bam062988 well lets compare positions 1st i have better QB and recivers and DE, you have better defense and running game.

  • i love the titans but thats a crazy catch no lie :)

  • Amazing quality, 'nough said.

  • if they gave it to cj that would never happend

  • Ed Reed is known for missing tackles. Troy is one of the surest tacklers in the league. How can Reed be better than Troy if he can't even tackle?

  • i love how number 18 was like WTF at 0:08

  • thats not even fair! aha TROY!!!

  • Sixburgh Steelers,gotta love em.

  • Comment removed

  • Not that cool and he twitched

  • @lamsane2409 Ed reed has been in the leauge over 10 years Polamalu has been in the leauge like 6 years.

  • @LarryGambill Ed Reed came in 2002, Polamalu in 2003. What are you talking about?

  • polamalu is the best

  • nice quality...

  • type duce daddy lil wayne dis

    join flames

    go steelers

  • the defensive linemen made that happen

  • ed reed cant do that

  • Steelers is gonna win 2011 super bowl!!!

  • @gasmask80 Yeah I know.

  • @gasmask80

well that comment was a fail

  • @gasmask80 nope steelers lost..

  • yeaaa bot super bowl baby here wecome

  • troy got hurt this game bc FAT ASS ALGE CRUMPLER fell on his knee. Honestly the fattest te ive ever seen

  • That's one sick interception!!!!!!!

  • I've never seen such nice hair!

  • steeler football!!!!steeler game!steeler victory once again

  • he used his head and shoulders :)

  • He used his head and shoulders :)

  • Polamalu is the best SS, Reed is the best FS. I still think Polamalu is better overall as a safety since he can do everything Reed does minus a little speed but plus all that strength.

Just look at his stats this year, he's only 1 pick behind Reed but he ALSO has all those fumbles and hard hits.

  • @kilox10001 Ed Reed is lighter and faster then Polamalu, so ofcourse he could get better return yardage on the play. But in my opinion, I don't care who's better....just as long as they're on my team, I don't care. XD

  • Britt has got to attack that ball he just let Troy take it from him

  • I'm a ravens fan... But god I gotta say I think polamalu is better than reed now.

  • That couldve been another great year for Polamalu if Alge Crumple didnt land on his knee. Man did I miss him that year.

  • @kilox10001 the point is, its NOT one pic, hes had 10 others just like it, its not luck its skill and the ability to always be around the ball, i know ed reed has that and im not deny how great of a player he is nor am i saying troy is better, i am saying that polamalu has a unique skill set that allows him to make extraordinary interceptions...

  • u play football? i mean really one handed catches are kinda lucky but ed reed played stong safety for 3 years an got swithed to free an whikle he was a SS he put up better numbers then #43 did in 5 seasons bet u didnt know that. 43 is good dont get me wrong i would love him on the ravens but there is no way he is hands down better then ed reed. i mean reed played in ten games an has 8 picks that leads the nfl? imagine if he would have played the other 6.

  • @kilox10001 im afraid you are terribly misunderstood... find troy pic against the chargers and see that fingertip catch... thats what i mean, that is almost not humanly possible, and its certainly something reed couldnt do

  • @kilox10001 ed reed is a very talented and agile returner... hes very good at making a great play after a mediocre pic... troy can't return (except in the 08 champ game) but his pics are much harder and spectacular

  • @kilox10001 thats not the point, troys pic are way more crazy and difficult

  • SUPERSAMOAN!! Cheee hooooo!

  • MVP MVP MVP

  • watch my touchdown Vid im a soph in highschool THANKSS

  • HOly crap!!! Polamolu is so beast!

  • lets see reed do that

  • How in the hell do you dislike this?

  • @FJCruiser09 im guessing you dislike it if you come from tennessee

  • that was AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sexy quality

  • STEELERS BABY ALL THE WAY ;)))

  • @FiA80811 Only in hell.

  • The awesome thing about this is he was questionable to play for that game.

  • i love this quality

  • sikk!!!

  • I don't neccesarily like the steelers but I have to admit that was a pretty catch

  • God has blessed him due to his humbleness and faithfulness! God bless!

  • I love Tory Polamalu!! haha <3

  • Put him anywhere on the field besides qb and he will do work! Heck, put him at qb! Better than Jamarcus Russel lol

  • i love it when i watch a vid of troy polamalu's interception and then at the side I see a bunch of other vids of him making other amazing plays.. The man is just amazing(at football)

  • I WANT TROY POLAMALU IN THE RAIDER NATION!

  • @hamoan66boi FUCK YOU WTF

  • @TheDawg412 lol!

  • @hamoan66boi

    Terrible idea!

  • beautiful catch

  • Polamalu can put Randy Moss' catches to shame with his bad ass interceptions!
