The Suzuki sounds terrible to me compared to the Struna. Or am I tone deaf?

That's a fair call. The Struna and Suzuki are so different that they
polarize opinion. More people prefer the Struna sound, but there are still some people
who prefer the bright crisp sound of the Suzukis. I like them both... they're just different.
