David seems like a genuinely lovely guy. I can't help that notice that unlike American actors, singers etc..he doesn't have like 2-4 bodyguards surrounding him. I've seen that with other British actors in London..Wonder what that says about us...

@ronnie05au David was a huge Who fan growing up, so he knows how important and beloved the show is, especially for little kids, and he always treats his fans with respect. I don't think having little children excited to see him is annoying to him. Those paps might get nutty, but he's so beloved that I think even the paps know not to cross a line or the public would hunt them down!

Poor guy! It makes me feel like, if in the practically nonexistant chance I'd ever see him in person, that I wouldn't just let him go on about his day and not pester him with signing an autograph. It's even more saddening now that he's leaving Dr. Who! He was the first actor I saw play the part, and so he's my Doctor. Whoever comes next will have a tough act to follow.

Fiiinally sussed who those two women were. The one on the right is his agent, and the girl on the left, I think, is Jennie Fava, who works on Dr Who. I think how he deals with the paps is amazing, isn't rude, doesn't court it, just does his own regular thing. How he stays so level headed about it I don't know.
