I never said I was jealous of US inventions. I use them every day. What art and architecture? USA can't beat Dutch in hundred years...
I just say inventions are not that easily "nationalized". So, if we should give up "American internet", you should give up on Chinese gunpowder, French and German fission, Arab/Indian mathematics, get it?

This seems like one of the Mig 29's the russians have in reserve, becuase most of the Mig 29's in the Russian air focrce are Mig 29C version or Sm5 version. Because the version of the Mig 29 in the video you can see by the cockpit that is the Mig 29A.

Yes, the MiG is manuverable, yes it has a cool shape, but nothing more really. It's radar sucks, it's avionics suck and it requires TONS of maintenance which doesn't come cheap. F-15s and F-16s would annihilate it in BVR and no sane pilot would ever allow it to get down to a dogfight.
Mig -29 is pretty old already. Could compete with F 16 and 18. Raptor would kill it, but anybody saw a Raptor in real action? US has probably about 20 of them, too expensive to produce :) Sukhoi would beat Raptor.

Affleck's a doofus, PH was pure crap, and the F-22 most certainly would "own" a MiG-29, an excellent fighter a generation behind the F-22. Factor in the F-22's stealth, AWACS control and USAF training standards as well. USAF flys more in a week than Sov/Russians do in a month. MiG-29 is late 70s, non-stealth technology--still lethal, but not in F-22's league at all.

@t3hdewd Russian planes are grate and in theory could beat any western but because the russians have such bad missle systems they have no chans unfortunly. :/

not missiles are the problem but radar and poor training (gulf war and serbian war lessons...) and another factor was the huge number of allied fighters...
so if you put 1 mig 29a vs 1 f16 block 10,15,20,25,30 the chance is on the mig`s side...
read and understand facts and history not bulshitstory...

@Su37rulez You smoking crack? Actually a MiG-29 has never shot down any of the planes you listed. Furthermore it is exactly the opposite, USAF F-15s and F-16s have shot down multiple MiG-29s...
Yes, the MiG is manuverable, yes it has a cool shape, but nothing more really. It's radar sucks, it's avionics suck and it requires TONS of maintenance which doesn't come cheap. F-15s and F-16s would annihilate it in BVR and no sane pilot would ever allow it to get down to a dogfight.

Mig -29 is pretty old already. Could compete with F 16 and 18. Raptor would kill it, but anybody saw a Raptor in real action? US has probably about 20 of them, too expensive to produce :) Sukhoi would beat Raptor.

Affleck's a doofus, PH was pure crap, and the F-22 most certainly would "own" a MiG-29, an excellent fighter a generation behind the F-22. Factor in the F-22's stealth, AWACS control and USAF training standards as well. USAF flys more in a week than Sov/Russians do in a month. MiG-29 is late 70s, non-stealth technology--still lethal, but not in F-22's league at all.

JCM900dude, it's okay, because the F-16 can own Mig-29's in the 350+ knot range of speeds; going slow is where the Mig-29 is maneuverable, and going slow is a death-wish in REAL air COMBAT. Tricks to wow a crowd is all Russian aircraft are good for. ;)
