  • This Is Awesome! This reminds me of the show eight days later at Rupp Arena. Sounds Like EVERYOnE gets involved in this particular "Drums" segment....4-20-1978....take.a.listen.it.wont.let.me.post.a.link.to.the.show....its.on.archive.org

  • that so wild,, i never know he can play drum,s,, lol

  • who would of thunked it?

  • Wow, in almost 30 years of listening to and seeing the Dead that was one of the oddest things I've seen. I'd assume the guy with pots and pans is the guy that supplied the brownies in between sets. I love the older shows where you can clearly see which guy(s) in the band is clearly feeling good. Billy seems to be feeling no pain this night, Phil is fun to watch too in older shows where he's feeling really amped, other shows he'll be stoic though the whole band was much more busy back then.

  • Jammn

  • Jerry on the drums! How great is that!

  • jerry behind the kit is such a goofy sight. how bout april fools 80 im pretty sure jer jumped behind the kit for promised land lol

  • what were in those college brownies back-stage during the drum-break ? or was it the powdered sugar ? That's Jerry sittin' pretty, in the back (right), tapping on some calypso drums "thump-thumpitying" away... then comes out some goofball (invited by Kreutzmann) with two tin pans !? ... that was the Grateful Dead !!
