  • does she sniff cocaine?she keeps sniffing like she just did a line im just saying

  • Ive never heard someone talk about hair like that before, love it. very moving

  • Cleopatra must have looked like her!

  • Thank God we still exist because of women like Kola Boof. I read her books and she's the best writer we have now.

  • 123Galactica no one is discrediting your experiences. And the fact that you are often preferred and receive preferential treatment in the Black community is not your fault. It is the fault of the White macrostructure and the self loathing colonialist Black power base.

An you people are a damn FOOL if you don't think Black men don't take there self loathing anger and hatred out on Black women. Especially the darkest ones.

  • lol

    Its rick james bitch!

  • Gabriella - you are spot on with your comments. Good job! You're right about everything!

  • You'r such a damn liar. What you need to do...is actually READ Kola's books. They are full of Biracial people, especially biracial women. You're so insecure because sh'es telling the truth. You are NOT the "representtive" of REAL Black people and that's what she's saying. Blacks can speak for their damned selves! Not your White ass!

  • lmao damn right darlene!

  • Most Arabs are VERY racist towards

Blacks...which is why I hate Black historian Runoko Rashidi because he is unaware of their racist attitude towards us

because he is American foremost and looks at things through his "white man glasses".

  • Third: She doesn't have the right to say other people of

color (including mixed-race people) haven't suffered at

the hands of whites. I was recently attacked by a group

of whites at my college and I'm mixed - people look at me

and they see 'black' because genetically my genes reveal

    me to be that way.

  • If the person is mixed like I am and looks "negro" then he or she is usually accepted by Africans. Second: Berbers are not racist - not based on my experiences although some may forget their roots if they marry Europeans and become racists themselves.

  • I'm one-quarter Chinese, one-quarter Indian, one-quarter White (of Portuguese descent) and one-quarter Black (of West African descent). I know more than anyone how racist both Blacks and Whites are. Kola Boof DOES NOT have the right to say who is black and who isn't. If a person is mixed and LOOKS mostly white, then I can understand why Africans don't consider them "negro".

  • i am so glad she appreciates her black american family thanks kola boof

  • Kola is an absolutely beautiful woman in every sense of the word!

  • Rape in Africa is prevalent during war but that is true everywhere in the world. African men raping women is not uncommon during war. That is not how they conduct themselves during peace times. Please some of you need to review the archives from the UN and other places libraries and stop dwelling on colour as a barameter of racial identity. Race is not defined as it is in the USA.

  • I am reading the autobiography now on Kola Boof and while religion at least Judaism forbids incest.I have worked at the National Organisation of Victims Assistance and discovered that in rare cases even among the Orthodox Jews incest, rape and molestation do occur. I am deeply surprised to learn from her book that among Arab Muslim raping their own children is a routine thing. They stone their daughters afterwards and the women say nothing? Then they claim it was a honour killing afterwards.

  • Where North Africans mix with whites in others parts of the world, you find racism among them and a tendency to loss their identity and the thinking that darker skin is inferior. Among those that mix freely and marry whites what I have found is the acquiencence that whites are superior. But it is no different from the schizophrenia that has plagued the continent since colonialism

  • I agree with Ms. Boof that Africans are unique in hair texture. Africa is the beginning of civilisation on the earth. If you go to North Africa or associate with Norther African Berbers in the United States there is no racism among them in my experience. Where North African mix with whites in others parts of the world, you find racism among them ,a tendency to loss their identity and the thinking that darker skin is inferior.

  • What I have say about Kola is a it is refreshing to have someone speak in a positive way about Africa people. The way that Egypt is portrayed in modern Western media is as a part of the Middle east, as a white country. They speak Arabic there but Egypt is an African country. There are Africans with coarse, thick hair and those with straight hair some with fair skin others dark, that does not make them any less African.

  • our hair is the proof of what? we say that in sudan? (".)

  • sara your wrong, the proof is cushitic folk tale, NOT south sudaneses :-) the cushitic ppl also live in north sudan.

  • what is the cushitic folk tale? :S

Please check my reply to BlackFatherz.

  • Infibulation is NOT practiced in Southern Sudan, what's this woman talking about?!

  • Kolas not from "SOUTH" Sudan so what are YOU talking about? it is practiced on the Arab side where she is from. Stop doing Hate promotion for the Arabs.

  • Dear, I am Arab and I am African so my comment was not meant to promote hate for anyone. Her mother is indeed an Oromo from South Sudan (for some reason youtube wouldnt let me post the link :S)

  • sorry i heard that her mother was finka NOT oromo, im not sure where u got that info from

she has repeatedly said that her mum was a blue black dinka woman, oromo's are primarily in ethiopia , a few are in sudan

  • sorry her mum is dinka not oromo, her father was arab :-)

  • Her father is Egyptian not an Arab and most probably a Berber.

  • I was wrong on her heritage. Her father was a very special man, I am sorry she lost him.

  • What difference does it make what part of Sudan her mother came from? How would even know that information?

  • Her autobiography tells everything about her life including her parents. Her mother was Oromo but "nomadic" and her father was from a White Arab family with "some" Turkish blood. They also had been black in color up until the 1950's. They bred the black blood out.

  • The autobiography is coming but I was speaking generally. I have to read.

  • Mahdiu Pappuh Harith Bin Farouk was a white Arab Egyptian was her father and Gisi Waaq was her mother.

  • Infibulation is practiced in Africa mostly in Muslim countries. It is not a religious practice but a cultural one. There are women who are in Muslim countries who near had their labias or clitorisis cut.

  • Actually infibulation is practiced in many non-muslim countries (mostly African countries) as well. The only muslim countries where it is practiced are Egypt, Sudan and Somalia.

  • sara207 u forgot Nigeria , northern nigerians are muslim,

  • There is a distortion about who is Arab and who is not in Africa. Arabs come from the Arabian peninsula which means that while Arabic is spoken in Northern Africa and many other parts that does not make North Africans Arabs. There is an attempt to separate Africa into white Africa and those south of the Sahara black Africa this attempt is because of white Western imperialism and racism.

  • Kola's autobiography goes into great detail about what it's like living in North Africa and she tells a much different experience than you. She was born there and returned in her 20's to model and act. The Arabs in Sudan hate blacks and Berbers were just as racist. They rape black women and abandon them.

  • Okay you must understand that Sudanese because some of them have very dark skin are not only black. All Sudanese are of mixed origin. The colour and ethnic background should be left aside. Sudanese mixing with their immediate neighbours in Egypt and Ethiopia throughout the horn of Africa is not unusually. Black skin tells you nothing ofn DNA.

  • I am sorry but the last sentence should read that in Muslim countries the practice of infibulation is not universal . There are some women who never have their labias or clitorisises cut.I must also point out that coming from a family in which I have several members that are medical staff in their experience, one need not have been in a Muslim society to have been circumsized as a women.

  • Ma Allah blessed u sister u speaking the truth, which altos off us can't talking about it back in African.

  • The past is still important. If you forget the past you are doomed to repeat it. The point is, many people are looking so far ahead they forget the past, and there is no progress if we don't learn from it.

  • her arab fatehr was a black arab

  • True Kemite in the flesh with an American accent! Yes

  • MEET KOLA BOOF IN PERSON...Sun. Sept. 16th at 4 p.m. at the Schomburg Center in NEW YORK CITY. She will in the Langston Hughes Auditiorium reading from her books and later signing them. ADMISSION IS FREE!

  • lair or liar?
