Can`t see Leno do that now...Boy has Jay changed this performance was one of the best i ever seen on tv, never forget seeing this on tv.Thanks for posting this..Great Memories..
omg man haha wow, screw the commercial !! i bet they don't do that too often,he was so right thhough cause they were really in the zone layin down the jams. what a great performance :o)
Huey Lewis. Hot damn, what a man! The man has more talent in one hair follicle than everyone who's ever been on one of those reality singing competitions worldwide combined. Combine that with an incredible personality, passion for his work, and being drop dead gorgeous...and, Mr. Lewis? You've reduced me to a puddle of quivering goo on the floor. :D
HLN were ahead of their time. A cover album to the extent they did "Four Chords..." in 1994 was unique and fresh and practically unheard of. These days, everybody and their uncle releases a cover album and thinks they're the first ones to come up with the idea.
I've been at a few tapings of The Tonight Show and was at this taping. Before the show people go down to the front and get pictures with Jay Leno. Well, a couple of guys asked if they could get pictures with Huey and they called Huey out from the dressing room and he started taking pictures with people. Really cool. I've been to a few of his concerts now and Huey's always so gracious like that.
Not only is it cool to see Mario when he was still in the band... but it's funny that he's playing a 5 string on an oldies song! Hehehehehehe....
CarolinaNewsfan, thanks for this one... the sound quality is great! And like Tangocat & some of the others, I first heard them when I was, well, 13... in 1984 and was hooked.
I have been a Huey Lewis and the News fan since 1985 and I still am. Saw them in concert 6 times and I would love to have a meet and greet with them some day.
Yes, he left in late 1994 (the Year this is from) or early 1995. Ironic how in the 80s he looked like like he never enjoyed himself onstage, and he looks like he had a blast on this Show, only some months before leaving the Band.

@DJSkyes Yep! I believe Mario left soon after the tour for this album, and Chris left a few years later.
