  • sorry you are WRONG the blackout was Not in 1989 but 1988!...i know i was having contractions that night and had my baby the next day...a Blackout I'll never FORGET!

  • In 1989, Tasmania, Australia, the aurora activity covered the entire sky in every direction, lasting well over 6 hours until the sunrise washed out the display.

  • A solar storm that hits Canada and USA, ok, both countries are next to one another in the northern hemisphere. But only UK other then the two first mentioned ? ijust dont make sens since the radiation waves cant react in splitting, they have to spread out, like a cone shape, narrow part being the source of NRG and large part being wha hits the planet. It makes no sens at all ! Other countries north, south and est of UK should have been hited. Countries like rissia are on same meridian., BS :P

  • @kyoku1975 ANything can happen if the earths axis gets fucked up.

  • Good stuff

  • I wonder how powerful the magnetic field was from teh sloar storm. It must have been quite strong to knock out two cities! Wow!

  • lol i got that CME as a motherfucking foetus

  • Does a solar storm effect our planet? or is it nothing to worry about?

  • For the planet itself, solar storms only compress the earths magnetic field temporarily. The only thing that can be adversely affected by such a storm is our own technology. So for the average person, aside from the possibility of extended blackouts, they are nothing to worry about =)

  • @Firemerlin86 ...yeh that and what hungry cold humans will to each other when this fragile electronic backbone, the spine of technological society is snaped and no longer functions along with absolutely every piece of infastructure that realies on IC tech.

~but hey this was well know before the designs were made manditory, so perhaps this manufactured crisis is how we will test ourselves in survival for life worth; ehy ?

  • @docatomics When a thousand year solar storm eventually strikes our delicate technological society we will learn what humanity really is.

  • @Firemerlin86 or possibly anarchy !

  • Powinniśmy zastanowić się co można zrobić by odpowiednio wcześniej zareagować. Według fachowców następnym razem możemy spodziewać się czegoś znacznie mocniejszego. A gdy kolejny raz będzie dziesięciokrotnie silniejszy (co nie byłoby niczym nadzwyczajnym biorąc pod uwagę możliwości naszej najbliższej gwiazdy) globalnie zostaniemy pozbawieni energii elektrycznej a przywrócenie sytuacji do normalności może zająć kilka lat.

  • look up nasa solar storm 2012. Scary one coming.

  • We currently have a script written about the solar storm of 2012. We will be shooting it next month.

  • @WilliamBensen How far are you in your video?

  • @WilliamBensen swweeeet!

  • @WilliamBensen Howdy;

I love your programs. They are much better than the ones made to scare everyone about 2012. That brings me to the question, "What happened to the program about the solar storm of 2012 you mentioned here? I would really love to see it.

Thanks and see you in 2013
