I was just about to rate your vid with 5 stars but then I heard something about you being a McLaren fan...so no 5 stars this time!On the other hand of course who can blame you for being a McLaren fan since you´re british lol!
i felt so sorry for badoer :( he raced for years in underpowered underfunded uncompetitive cars the 1 shot he gets a race with his beloved ferrari and he has never even driven it ...or not driven it in ages such an unlucky driver and deserves a point so badly :(
I must admit I did swear quite alot in the living room when I saw McLaren bugger Lewis' pit stop up, but thinking about it, it was highly likely that rubens would of jumped Lewis in the pits anyway. I wasn't exactly happy with how Martin Whitmarsh explained what happened after the race, sounded like he was covering his own and his teams arse from a silly mistake, but oh well. Still love McLaren, Lewis, Heikki :D and of course Jenson!
Despite what mclaren said about winning as a team and all that, im rather certain that blotched pit stop cost them the race. Was a good race for barrichello and it seems that we may have a repeat this weekend unless team strengths have severely changed. If i would have been asked prior to spa which two teams would be bringing up the rear i would have said force india and bmw. Strange qualifying indeed. Def think barrichello is getting another podium.
if alonso comes to ferrari i just hope he leaves his spanish machoness at renault we don`t want he same bullcrap , he did at maccla . i still think ferrari is doing a big mistake with alonso.
I just hope Ferrari at least let Massa win one world championship, especially given their blunders cost him last years'. I also hope Kimi goes out with a bang and scores one more victory this year. Still, I think Alosno and Massa would make a pretty tough team.
Thats quite rude isnt it? I apologize that you have to hear that here... I love your reviews :) Keep them up! :) Oh and so happy for Rubens and his support for Felipe :)
Australia has been doing after-race concerts for years. This year in Melbourne we had The Who and last year we had KISS, so definitely big name acts. In Europe you guys get so many races yet here an F1 race is a real 'event', just like we also have the military jet fly-overs etc too. Back in Adelaide too at the Clipsal 500 (what now takes place on the Adelaide Street Circuit) the after-race concerts are as much of a draw as the race itself. I don't know why F1 ROCKS is such a big deal.
"Europe you guys get so many races yet here an F1 race is a real 'event', just like we also have the military jet fly-overs etc too"
I can only speak for Germany as things vary from country to country in Europe very much, but here we are very hestitant with military-jet shows, because of our history (hestitant to military parades) and especially because of what happened at Ramstein US airbase with the italian airshow.
Yeah of course, it would vary greatly I imagine. What I meant though was it's easier for you guys to go to a foreign race than for us; if not Melbourne the geographically-closest GP to Australia would be Malaysia or Japan, which obviously requires a several-hour flight, where from Germany you can probably get to most of Europe via coach or train.
but it would be cheaper to fly to most GPs than any other transportation, except maybe the GPs at the German border like Spa. But we still only have a 2-3 hour flight to the european GPs.
But as the biggest problems are not the expences for the travel but the expences for the ticket to the GP I haven´t visited any GP since 1989.
the clipsal 500 is an awsome event 3 or 4 bands playing every night - thursday to sunday - after 10 or so hours of racing each day. Any motorsport fan would find this one of the great events to see each year. After that i even saw frenzal rhomb at hq on the thursday and sin city at the cranker on the saturday, not much sleep, but an awsome weekend. The gp when held here had people like tina turner, cher and paul simon, a bit wanky but on the last gp they had bon jovi, which was a bit better
I'm not into the Aussie V8's so much, but I usually end up going to the clipsal for at least one of the 4 days each year, mainly because I always seem to know a group of people with 4-day passes and someone who happens to not be going one of the days. It's always a fun day full of racing, and the Adelaide Street Circuit alone makes it great. I have to admit, I got excited at the prospect that the breakaway series were considering the Adelaide track for a late-November race...
Yes, I remember the red arrows at Silverstone. I like the idea of a pop concert and f1 race rolled into one. I'll be watching very closely with intrigue :)
It was a good battle between Hamilton and Rubens at Valencia and even though Mclaren did have a problem in the pit lane with the tyres. Rubens had the pace to win the race. Great victory.
Rubens really deserved to finally win once again! Hopefully this was not his last victory.... and who knows, maybe there may be a brazilian Brawn GP dirvers champion this year....
I thought todays race was brilliant! Rubens deserve the win 100%. If the Brawn's can get the hang with cold Spa next week then we could well see Jenson vs Rubens for the final few races. Yes todays race was kinda decided on the McLaren pit stop error but then again Rubens was closing Hamilton down every lap so the win was a matter or time.
Good video again victoria, I think if Badoer remains driving for Spa and monza he should take a leaf out of Barrichellos book, his age is not an excuse for not being quick, there are so many young drivers and older ex F1 drivers that would do a better job, frentzen, de la rosa or DC. like you said the championship is shaping up nicely, looking forward to Spa.
No way this will be his last victory, I helluva know he will repeat this victory if not this year then next, 'cause Ross Brawn said he would work with his 2 pilots next year as well. And this race was 100% from Rubens!
Barrichello FTW! I am big fan of him and indeed it was a well-deserved win! And I'm hoping he will go for the Championship! That would be even more deserved for him!! after 17 years!

Rubens would have been one or two seconds ahead of hamilton even without any mistake in pits... and this was not last victory from Rubens ;D

But I think in france flyovers are quite normal.

I'd actually agree. Age isn't an excuse, but I think lack of race driving might be.
