Its just to bad it's not written in C++. Having to install the Dot Net framework on every computer running a C# program just kills it for me.
Statically linking Dot Net is also a joke. Even if you can get it linked, the resulting executable is so huge it defeats the purpose in the first place.
Also "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way" is an error you will see all the fucking time with the Dot Net framework.
@autonomous2010 You know what.. I'm a strong hater of .NET, but you're so wrong I'm about to start endorsing it. .NET 2.0 has shipped with every computer since windows 95, and don't even get into a linux argument with me because I'm running Arch right now and you can grab mono in seconds. C# develops much faster than C++ which isn't even that much better than it's predecessor, let's be real here, C++ provides milliseconds of extra speed. For what tradeoff? Twice the dev time...?
The windows 7 laptop I purchased not but 3 months ago didn't have ANY version of .NET on it and neither did my last Vista laptop.
I never could get Linux to work correctly on new hardware so I won't be bringing that one up.
I am an assembly programmer that used to make tons of dos applications back when real mode applications were common. That said, I am known to waste an enormous amount of time in programming just to get as much performance as possible out of an app.
I would consider development time to be based on experience with the language. I can program just as fast in C++ as a decent C# programmer.
To many people C# is just a toned down C++ with some extra protection to keep people from harming themselves. Have you actually seen the assembly code generated by Visual Studio C#? Its Bad.
I can't vouch for the Mono compiler as I have never used it.

@masterofnocrack I bet Gates will install Linux instantly after this shit and force Ballmer to abandon Windows. Now Linux will become mainstream! Send that to Gates, please.
@JohnTimMartin go into the border style and change it to none then go into transparency and change it to whatever. it worked for me when i made a splash screen.

@ichiman14
Easy; dim i as integer, dim rand as random,
Then you just go, i = rand.next(10,21)

@rinkavideos64 Yeah. Gates won't be smart enough to end the process. (sarcasm)

@masterofnocrack This is so un-serious that it isn't even like a virus. Someone could easily close it with Task Manager.

@xleo21 When I try to do this with Visual C# 2010 on a Form it says that Forms do not support transparency.. Do do have a trick or something?
