Hey Dave and Mike! I love your videos! I need your help though. I can't decide if I am an INFP or ENFP. I have tested as both, and also INFJ at times. But Judging doesn't really come naturally to me, so I guess that's out. I can be very outgoing, I even start conversations with strangers at times. But I really need a lot of alone time, and if I am feeling stressed out that's how I recharge. The thing is, I feel I ma not as reserved as they are portrayed to be. What is your opinion? Heelp! Sam

I get worn out by people easily, basically. I think its best to focus on which profile you relate to the most, and less on whether or not you are a E or and I. Cause I feel like I want to be more E than I am and have gotten more E as I've gotten older, through practice.
@Babiiii89 For each of the letters you can score anywhere on a scale of 0 to 100. The higher the score the more it may become a trait that is somewhat bothersom. You obviously don't score very high on either the I or the E side. You may be I, but just not very introverted.

I'm an INFJ...Dave... it's so like an INFJ to criticize others (other nfs) for being inauthentic when we INFJs ourselves have trouble being open enough with people to show our real selves. Haha...We gotta learn to be humble and criticize ourselves as harshly as we criticize others...

Also, as to the inauthentic NF - what causes that? When I've been the most inauthentic, I was married to a very unhealthy NT and was completely alienated from who I am. My INFP friend is helping me to become authentic by seeing and reinforcing my F. Perhaps, inauthentic NFs need rescuing? Bueller? Anyone? ; )

I know it's wrong to stereotype people, but I couldn't help but laugh because there is so much truth in these type stereotypes. I'm an ENFP with also an INFJ as my best friend. It's really funny this interaction, like when we play Modern Warfare 2. We both pwn the shit out of everyone ofcourse, but the difference is that I can never stop looking for new exciting weapon/perk sets (even if that combo hurts my score), while he will do that for a while, until he settles with a limited amount of very effective combos. My strength is never being caught off guard, while his are his carefully planned strategies.

I am an ENFP also and I know exactly what you mean about not feeling like I'm the one talking. Like the thoughts aren't my own, I'm just interpreting the thoughts that get piped in. I also have moments where I break through playing guitar and I feel like I'm sitting there watching myself play from this intuitive point of view that doesn't quite seem first person. (often but not always induced by "plants of love")
I'm an ENTP :D (aka a misanthropic extrovert). If I could only take a few types with me in the event of an asteroid hitting the earth, I would choose my own type, INFJ, ENFP, and a handful of INTP, INTJ, and ISTP. Of course, I don't know if I'd be much happier... part of the fun of being an ENTP is being a devil's advocate to the SJs, as much as they exasperate me! lol
omigosh that happens to me whenever I give a public speech. It freaks me out, I will be speaking a mile a minute and be able to put together an intellectual lecture together without ANY planning, you sort of feel out of body. and I'm an INFP. ;)
