Yowza, never thought to see such obnoxious comment on a video by a guy playing beautiful music on a beautiful instrument written for a family member...
i see u are one of those shitheads. unless you were born few hundred years ago and witnessed someone else writing it other than bach i suggest you shut the fuck up and enjoy this piece.
@Tigermantt Rofl. Are you just plain stupid or what, you ignorant piece of shit? Bach didn't write this piece, we have evidence he didn't. Don't act smart when you don't know anything about it.
@Lity10 hahaha Listen u fucking cunt instead of sitting behind a safe screen and feeling mighty and dumb on utube put ur balls where ur mouth is and provide this so called evidence for toccata. Until u do just enjoy ur little safe haven and try not to be a fucking cunt and a disgrace to humanity.
@Lity10 Hahahaha now I remember it's a good thing I didn't delete my sent messages. I see ur the same fucking cunt from back then. I see u r still burning u fucking cunt u fucking loser. I don't have to spend anymore time on ur fuckin loser ass. U r fucking burning u cunt. Don't even waste my time u cunt. I will resend those messages back to u, u fucking cunt. Hahaha still burning inside I c. Ur gonna get a heartattack soon cunt from stressing out.
@Lity10 Hahaha hey there dumb shit, i saw your messages talking about how Mozart had nothing to do with Bach. You were arguing how Mozart wasn't influenced from Bach and how he had nothing to do with him. Listen you dumb shit next time try to read a little, it helps, also use common sense as a musician (if you are one). FYI all the composers that came after Bach, they loved his works, praised him as a master, and to this day all the composers are influenced by his genius
Bach is really most wonderfull on a harpsichord ..sometimes when I play his music on the piano I think, I wish I also had a harpsichord at my deposale.. hmm loveley !
this piece is fantastic by itself... it is better played on harpsichord... it is awesome played in this way... all this trills, scales etc, makes it feel so interesting... it is like living for a minute in bach's era...
I wish we could see his hands: I would like to see his fingerings....I hear a lot of long-shorts and only slight notes inegals... I wonder if he's using the old almost no thumbs fingering? Very Nice!
@AshleyGoldleaf, Bach did compose this no doubt. Yes it does sound as if it is in F#. I don't really feel like writing out a long explanation as to why it is. In a nutshell, back 250 years ago or so, they did not have an established pitch to where all instruments would be tuned to. Today it is obviously 440. This is why a lot of the older organs in Europe are tuned to various pitches. They had to do a shit tone of transposing back then....
@Piglet0123456789 actually this pieces where composed to be played on the harpischord not on the piano ... because the piano didnt exist at the time when Bach was alive.
Great, with all the baroque elements of musical ornaments and decoration. I've played this piece over and over again. It never ceases to amaze how easy it seems, how "simple" it is and yet so concentrated and dear it is to me. On a harpsichord it is how it should be played. I always used the piano but it is entirely different the way you play it then. More like a Brahms waltz.....but to catch the spirit of the piece is less easily attained. Didn't Bach write it for his wife Anna Magdalena?
This was the first piece that I played on the transverse flute, some months after having picked up the instrument, in public... It's very nice, I always liked to ornament it (although I couldn't when had to play it in public), and listening to it on the harpsichord, played by Ton Koopman... It's very inspiring, and very very beautiful, of course.
My first teacher told me..this piece is actionly from petzold...he also said..bach was a smart man he knows this piece would be a evergreen so he copyed it in his book...with premission of course
this is not bach!!
its presumed to be composed by Christian Petzold.
wonderful performence tho.

People can start believing whatever the fuck they want but this is Bach.
Couple of ignorant fucks were arguing that Toccata and Fugue in D minor is not by Bach.
To those that argue shit (also believe) out of their ass i suggest you feel honored and lucky to witness this music by Bach. Otherwise be silent.
Tigermantt 1 year ago 2
@Tigermantt that's the way of arguing ; ))

@Tigermantt do you even know why The Toccata & Fugue in D minor is not thought to be Bach?
I think you're just ignorant.

Brilliant! But why is the harpsichord so flat? It sounds like this piece in F#. Is it true Bach didn't compose this? If so, that's a shock.

@AshleyGoldleaf yeah i noticed that too. Also, since 1970 people stop believing that Bach composed this.
