  • Is this even a question? Kim all the way.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm gonna say that if Kat can fend of Piranhatrons unmorphed, MY VOTE GOES TO KIMBERLY!

  • Ha ha Kimberly is Totally the Winner in all the videos I Wouldn't want to go up against Kim

  • I liked both of them. Kimberly was more skilled and I would say that she could hold her own. Kat was a better fighter in Turbo than in Zeo(mainly because she didn't have that many unmorphed fights in Zeo). I would take Kim over Kat.

But I would love to see a Aisha vs. Tanya video.

  • i used to believe power rangers were real lol

  • Not every ranger was supposed to be a super trained fighter, back when I was young and this show had character development, it was just about having the will and the bravery to be a ranger first. Then again that was when there was a story involved. Kat was a very interesting character, wasn't typical. Typical would be boring. I enjoyed watched her grow and develop.

  • Awesome

  • i dont know if those piranhatrons are really all that dangerous i mean after all we had a little 10 year old able to beat them up unmorphed while the puddies were known to beat most any one that wasn't a ranger and would if they ganged up on one be able to beat a single ranger unmorphed on occassion the pirana guys were just useless

  • Kim knows how to fight but kat doesnt.I still think Kat is prettier than kim.

  • @musicisdance13 no way, kim is much more prettier!

  • @manz92 Kat is prettier.kim is also pretty.

  • @musicisdance13 yes both are stunning, i just like the originals more, i mean kat cant do flips like kim can :)

  • @manz92 Yeah. Kat always needed tommy's help.Haha

  • does cat ever fight un morphed AT ALL...

  • lmao no shit trini 0:24

  • kat sucks balls kim is better than that bitch

  • what is the song in the kimberly part???

  • @jacobcraft123 Which clip?

  • @jacobcraft123 in the begining and who is the singer

  • @jacobcraft123 Oh the very beginning song is Girlfight by Brooke Valentine. The music in the first Kimberly clip is Fight by Ron Wasserman.

  • @Devotedlamb19 thanks chica :) u should make one for tommy vs jason just an idea but thanks for the artist and song names :)

  • @jacobcraft123 I'm a guy actually, and I did make a Tommy vs Jason video.

  • @Devotedlamb19 omg my bad man lol i feel stupid now

  • Amy (Kim) is professional gymnastic since she was a kid, she's really really great inside and out.... For me Catherine is not good as a pink ranger, she need more effort.. If I score her out of 10, I think 3/10.. We all know that Amy is a good in gymnastic, acting and singing.. For me, she's ohhhhhh the best!!!!

  • Kim's unmorphed fight moves are better than Kat's unmorphed fights.

  • Who is Katherine? lol

  • I think this isn't fair at all, we all know that Kim had moves and had more than likely been at some point instructed by her friends who knew martial arts whereas Kat never having grown up around people who fought or had the agility Kim had makes them real tough to compare as one is more experienced and the other one isn't. How about giving Kim a real adversary and comparing her with girls with training, like Jen, Dana, Taylor or even Syd? And try comparing Kat to girls w/out training.

  • @ZoeJeren Okay, I don't mean to be rude but this whole "The video isn't fair because Kat was inexperienced" thing is getting on my nerves. I KNOW Kim is more experienced than Kat and has better moves. That was the point of the video. This series was meant to show that YES, Kimberly is a better fighter than Katherine. They were made in response to an idiotic Kat stan who kept saying that Kim couldn't fight at all and that Kat was the best female fighter in the whole series.

  • @Devotedlamb19 So by now I think most fans agree, or at least in my opinion that Kim was a better fighter and that's about it between her and Kat. I was simply agreeing with you, it might have sounded harsh, but its so old, the Kim/Kat comparison, so that's why I suggested other girl ranger girls to compare Kim with, a bit more of a solid argument don't you think, eh? At least we should agree that some girls kicked butt in these series and so we should point that out by giving them all credit :)

  • @ZoeJeren It's true, Kim vs Kat is a one-sided comparison. I think Kim vs Jen would be a good comparison. Yes, there were plenty of girls who kicked serious ass in Power Rangers. Kim, Jen, Trini, Ashley, Cassie, Taylor, even Kendrix, and probably others that I can't think of right now.

  • @Devotedlamb19 Exactly and that's why sometimes its best to leave all the comparisons to ones who really do deserve it. I would love to see a comparison between Jen and Kim, especially because I think jen had some great unmorphed fights.

  • I am a big Kimberly fan. Kat mainly was underhanded the entire time she knew them soi this is more than fair. Her jealousy of Kimberly fueled the spell which was placed on her and kept her under it for so long.

  • Like I said on your last video, Kat was much better at fighting during Turbo. She finally got good...and then they took her off.

Kim was ALWAYS a great fighter though.

  • I'd give it to Kim again cause she was actually was skilled and got seems to have gotten better and better each time she fought head to head Kim could take Katherine.

  • LOL @ Kim doing a hurricanranna around 2:00

  • I dont think kim vs kat is a good comparison. I think Kim and Tanya were the best girl fighters. Kat brought a different depth to the show.

  • @rocky4x4 Well, Kat wasn't really meant to be a challenge. Anyone who watched the show knows that Kim is a better fighter. I made the videos in response to a Kat stan who insists that Kat is a better fighter than Kim.

  • @rocky4x4 IMO Trini was the best fighter of all the girls unmorphed. She had the best moves and could take any of them out unmorphed IMO. I'd go as far to say that she was 3rd only to Jason and Tommy for the originals. Kim probably was more powerful as the pink ranger then trini was as the yellow one though. But that's not Trini's fault b/c the power bow was that much better than the power daggers!

  • @rocky4x4 I agree

  • kat is a better actor kim a better fighter

  • @appleman58 kim was a better actress in my opinion.

  • Its been a while, but I still feel strongly that you are comparing apples and oranges in these clips. For example the Cogs in Zeo gave everyone trouble at times including Tommy; while the putties never did. So is Kimberly simply better b/c she faced off against inferior opponents? The only common ground b/t the 2 are the Tengas, but even those got stronger part way into the season. Now I'm not saying that Kat is better; all that i'm saying is that this isn't the best way to judge.

  • You can't say the putties never gave them trouble. The super putties were virtually impossible to destroy and the Z putties were tough the first time around and then there was the Crystal of Nightmares episode (granted, they were under a spell at the time). The putties were definitely the easiest foot soldiers but the issue here is who has the best skills, as many rangers have shown great fighting skill , regardless of the enemy.

  • You know coming back to this vid again, I stick with my original argument that it didn't matter about the enemy. As you said it's about, "who has the best skills, as many rangers have shown great fighting skill , regardless of the enemy." The cogs and Tengas were only shown as difficult because of the plots of those seasons. As I said the cogs were surpassed by future enemies and even beaten by Tommy and Jason unmorphed. It was about skill plain and simple, thus Kim wins regardless.

  • @slickricklj Yep. I mean, the putties and the piranhatrons were essentially the same enemy: foot soldiers with a vague human shape who had no other skill than to punch, kick and on rare occasions throw. The putties were more agile but other than that, there was no difference aside from appearance.

  • @Devotedlamb19 Exactly! I mean we saw people without powers taking down goons, as well as the rangers as kids beating down putties. Besides, it's not like people just up and changed their fighting style with new enemies.

  • @Devotedlamb19 well there was one difference the putties were kinda funny and liked to dance! :D

  • The show said alot of things were stronger. They said Zedd's putties were stronger than Rita's yet all they had to do was hit the Z. The cogs were supposed to be superior than the tengas, yet the Tengas defeated cogs at the end of zeo and more importantly in Forever Red, every red ranger present defeated the cogs unmorphed. Divatox's piranatrons were supposed to be a bigger threat and yet they got beat down unmorphed consistently. So it's rly a mute point with this show.

  • I mean seriously they showed Kim punch one of Divatox's warrior's unmorphed and then Jason took one down as well, while the Turbo rangers were overwhemled. Astronema's robot soldiers, superior to cogs, again beat down by unmorphed rangers.

  • Trying to make since of Power rangers is like trying to find your way home alone with a bucket over your head. There is just no way to do it lol. I was just pointing out that showing fighting scenes against different opponents shows very little. The only thing that you can go by here is who seems to have the better moves. But you really don't know which moves are better unless they face off against common opponents.

  • :) Fair enough argument!

  • @ehoss07 The putties gave Tommy trouble. They actually captured him in a net and tied him to a tree another. Putties captured him in "The Green Candle Part 1". I thought Tommy struggled less against the cogs then he did the putties. Cogs in "Forever Red" were beat by the unmorphed red rangers so they weren't that much more superior. They were shown in "Good as Gold" getting whipped by the tengas. I think their capability to shot lasers was a big reason the rangers had to morph.

  • @BLS0817 Your entitled to your own opinion really b/c with power rangers nothing really makes perfect sense. Personally this is the way I see it. We do know that the Tengas and Cogs were evenly matched as seen in the final episode of Zeo. We also know in MM3 that tengas were used and not Putties. I think that they had to be used b/c they were simply better. Therefore Since Tengas=Cogs and Tengas>Putties therefore Cogs>Puttes.

  • @BLS0817 Tommy owned Goldar unmorphed in Green on more, but also got owned by goldar unmorphed in the green candle. This is one example the leads me to believe that the rangers got better over time. It's more obvious in the Disney seasons but i think it holds true here too. I would never use Forever red as an example. That episode was just to make an entertaining teammup. They had no business beating the cogs like that and neither did a flying motor cylcle beating Serpentara :)

  • @BLS0817 But like i said nothing really makes perfect sense. Trying to explain power rangers is like trying to find your way home with a bucket over your head. THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS TO EVERYTHING. So i think this really is more of an opinion that fact.

  • Kimberly was better

  • Let's be fair. Kimberly was on the show for three seasons, and coming in as the next up, Kat had alot to proove. To compare her to kimberly, isn't terribly fair.

  • I would love to see a Tanya vs Aisha video.

  • @Dboy4100x4 I agree. Tanya would so own Aisha, hands down.

  • again, this video only shows that Saban got REAL lazy with the fighting scene's post season 2. Despite that, Kim wins.

  • @Dboy4100x4

ITA. As the years progressed they stopped hiring actors with actual backgrounds in martial arts/gymnastics. The actress who played Katherine stated in an interview that she was a trained dancer and faked her way through her audition for this part. When Disney took over, they just stop caring and brought in stunt doubles for even the smallest things.

  • True. MMpr had some of the best unmorphed fight choreography.

    Best music too!!

  • Well, I never felt like everyone had to be a great fighter unmorphed. That's what I liked about the Saban seasons. That left a reason to morph.

  • But the awesome thing about the Kimberly, Billy and the rest of the original rangers is that you actually saw them GRADUALLY improve as fighters. I think Katherine could be a sweetheart, and I think there were many missed opportunities with the character, personally...but it bothered me that her development wasn't subtle.

  • The reason I'll always be partial to the original 5+Tommy, is that while it was corny for sure, the story-lines, the development of the characters, were equal, gradual and subtle. That was lost when the writers decided that the replacements for Jason, Zach and Trini would all be martial arts experts, and really distinguish the 3 individuals. All 6 original members contributed specific and logical flaws and strengths to the team, making the team an awesome cohesive unit that wasn't replicated.

  • One video you should've added is a kimberly morphed fight Beauty and the Beasts when she is fighting the putties she does this amazing jump spinning hook kick..u should've added it.

  • I included the one from the Beetle Invasion because I love when Kimberly kicks all those putties while walking on top of them. Plus, Katherine only appears through the first half of Turbo and she has only one good morphed fight with Paranhitrons.

  • Tanya vs aisha?

  • Well, I did a Trini vs Aisha video on request, so why not?

  • One word: KIM

Kim and Tommy made that show man. They had mad chemistry.

And Kim would sooo own Kat.

  • @ladystixxs totally agreedd! i wish kim would fight kat cause she would reck her!

  • @Lucassssssss7BACKUP Turbo movie!! Kim kicks Kat and arm locks her.

  • Kat vs. Kim? Whoever thinks Kat is a fighter must be smoking crack...anyway, 1:58 reminds me of Cammy's (Street Fighter) hooligan combo....now if a ranger is compared to a Street Fighter, that's enough to determine who is the better fighter. I'm not a Kim fanatic though...I'm more of a Trini stan but I respect Kim for her skills.

  • Ok so besides Kim being a better fighter than Cat, doesn't she look better with Tommy than Cat too?

  • After that totally awesome scene where Kim says "Here's how I get my kicks!", and kicks that entire group of putties, it would've been totally awesome if you had included the scene from the Turbo movie where Kim kicks Kat in the stomach after that :)!

  • I thought about adding that scene, but I didn't want Kat stans bitching at me for being biased. However, if you notice, I added a Tommy/Kim scene in this video and in Part 1.

  • Kat stans actually exist?! Wow, I guess anything's possible in this world.

But anyways thanks for the addition of the Tommy/Kim scenes :D! Tommy/Kim FTW (hey! that rhymes)!

  • Yeah, Kat stans exist alright. In fact, this series of videos was in response to one such stan who always claims that Kat was a better fighter and a better ranger than Kim. He also says that Kimberly is dense, and that Tommy/Kat is "more mature."

  • "one such stan who always claims that Kat was a better fighter and a better ranger than Kim. He also says that Kimberly is dense, and that Tommy/Kat is "more mature.""

So in other words Kat stans basically = deluded fools. Now it all makes sense as to who these mysterious stans are!

  • You described it perfectly!

  • No Kat is a completely different character. I like her she is not just some all american valley girl. Her accent is cool. Her thing was never to be a great fighter or gymnast. She is not a better unmorphed fighter than kim, but I don't think she was suppose to be. They were looking for someone different. You can't complain about a kat stan when you are acting like a kim stan.

  • I don't put Kat down like Kat stans do with Kim. Some delusional Kat fanatic kept saying that Katherine was a superior fighter to Kimberly and anyone who watched PR knows that's not true, so I made this series of videos to prove that Kim could kick Kat's butt morphed or unmorphed. I think Kat was a very sweet person and had a good heart, but she was not Kim's equal or superior as a ranger or as a fighter.

  • I don't feel like she had to be equal to kim to be a great character. Just my opinion. I like the character development we had at that time before disney.

  • Well, Kim had character development too and I agree that that aspect of PR is gone, unfortunately.

  • I agree with you she did. I love kim. I love Kat. I think they brought something different. I think alot of people just dislike Kat because she isn't kim.

  • I hate it when people use the term "American valley girl" with a negative connotation. First of all, Kimberly wasn't just a "valley girl" 2nd of all, the valley girl manner of speech is just a dialect, an accent found in Southern California, mainly to the South of Santa Barbara and to the North of Los Angeles, and girls raised in the '80s, '90s and early 2000s of a certain SES tend to have the accent. The stereotype is offensive and ignorant, and as some1 from the region I need to speak up.

  • @natyanayaki well Amy Jo Johnson did self describe her character as a valley girl on Regis and Kathy

  • @Jon12213 She is a valley girl, but not a "valley girl" (quotation marks used to indicate an association with the stereotype). My post is regarding the negative stereotypes associated with the accent.

  • People from other regions, such as Orange County and even LA have similar dialects as well, but the accent originated in the Valley, the region I described in my first post.

  • Kimberly is the best !!!!

  • I'm going to carefully word this so i don't get any nasty replys.

Kimberly was the better fighter. but that was because it was obvious that she had been friends with the more skilled fighters and most likely they'd been teacher her all their moves and she sparred with them all the time.

Kat however didn't have that much of a fighting background and Tommy and the others didn't have as much time with her so she couldn't benefit as much from their knowledge.

  • I think Kimberly's background in gymnastics was more helpful then Katherine's in ballet.

Ballet is slower moving thats how her fighting came off at times, it wasn't a problem with one or two pirathrons but like you saw in "Passing the Torch" any more and she had trouble keeping up.

You rarely saw Katherine training and that bothered me because you saw Tanya training quite a bit.

  • Considering how Tanya had absolutely no background in anything but singing, that makes no sense. Tanya sparred with Adam and Tommy, who were quite capable martial artists. So there's really no excuse for Kat.

Everyone used their disciplines in their combat scenes. Be it dance, martial arts style, or gymnastics and went from there. Katherine not being that good of a fighter is simply because of the limitations of the actress playing her. Look @ Ashley, a cheerleader who was an awesome fighter.

  • didn't mean to leave out Jason, and Rocky were on her teams too. But main point is there was had another newbie to come in and train and was good, and Kat was really limited because of Catherine Sutherland.

  • I don't know if it's really fair to blame Catherine Sutherland. I just don't think the show was interested in making Kat into a good fighter.

As for the video good job, although I would've like to have seen Kim's fight in White Light. In my opinion, it was one of the best.

  • I suppose, just considering Catherine saying she had a hard time with the fight scenes just makes me think it might just be her. But yeah it's true that Kat was shown to have the least interest in being a good fighter.

  • White Light did have a good kim fight. In fact ALL of kim's fights were good. I mean she always used her gymnastics ability. Wild West Ranger was a good ep in where she fights. I mean damn..she was great. and it wasn't just her fighting, kim was second in command at times. She stepped it up where Rocky coudln't!

  • I totally agree about Kim. Although as far as Rocky goes he was a newbie. After Jason, Zack, Trini left it was Tommy, Kim, then Billy as far as leadership rank goes due to seniority. I can't really blame Rocky for that.

  • Yea but after a while, Rock y wasn't the newbie, and she still was a lot more commanding than rocky. I just don't think he had that leadership strength that was needed as the red ranger.

  • I think when Turbo came Kat was a little more skilled in fighting

  • really no comparison. You have Kim who has more strength behind her hits and she's takes out several putties at a time, and the fights are at a faster pace. Her aggression and confidence really comes through.

Kat on the other hand has very slow moves with little force behind them and it comes off as heavily choreographed. Her scorpion kick, while cool, had little force behind it and like the follow up spin kick took too long to setup. In a real fight, Kat would've continued to take a beating.

  • personally kim was the best and still the best girl fighter in power rangers to me! just my opinion!

  • I still believe Amy Jo/Kimberly was more interesting you saw her fighting numerous putties and even her morphed scene was more interesting. Being a gymnast really helped her.

Katherine's scorpion kick in "Alarmed and Dangerous" was neat but otherwise there was nothing of great skill, anyone could pull off most of her other moves. I liked morphed Turbo Katherine better then Zeo morphed Katherine she seemed tougher in Turbo

  • Yea I do have to agree. I'm not a Kat fan, but I started to like her better in Turbo. Zeo..eh...Kim though is the best! Out of ALL pink rangers in history.
