Could listen to this allllllllllllllllllllll daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Longgggggggggggggggg!

  • How can i download this instrumental?

  • @imbakednfreestylin3 Google info as there are free apps that will allow you to download flv files and convert them to other formats.

  • @imbakednfreestylin3 Download real player. It allows you to download videos from youtube and then convert them to audio.

  • wow!

  • u know the funk brothers were really the stars of motown.

  • @pathorne2 YES THEY WERE!

  • It's wonderful to hear them backing vocals.

  • we play this in our school year 7 band, i play percussion!

  • Greatest band in history folks.

  • Love this track!!! Just bought "Standing in the Shadows of Motown" [Deluxe Edition] by Funk Brothers but this isn't on it. Would also like "Baby Love" any ideas? Help!

  • @artofwork there is a video it's amazing

  • oh my goodness...Mr. Jamerson always used to make those strings speak. What a beauty was his way of playing bass

  • these songs have a tambourine,hand-clapping, foot stomp, tapping, quality of the gospel music.

  • @crut5 How is this a mess?

    It was a number 1.

  • Flo didn't turn up for this session it is Marlene Barrow from the andantes in flo place, Don't freak flo lovers just what I've read

  • This is true.

  • @idaslpdhr V true Its in the Andantes book !

  • @idaslpdhr No. It's Florence.

  • @RedRoosterRoad Read the Adantes book, it's Not flo, Flo's voice was much smoother.

  • Isn't it wonderful to hear the legendary Supremes WITHOUT Diane? They should should have released this version in 1966..........it would have probably still been a hit WITHOUT Diane. That's why I have always said the the legend of The Supremes is greater than the sum of its parts. Diane, along with Mary, Flo, The Funk Brothers, and holland/Dozier/Holland were all JUST parts!!!

  • Why do you think so? What do you have against Diana? I think she's great like all other Supremes and the Funk Brothers.

  • I know that's right!

  • Great point! It was the collective effort.

  • Beautiful! This beats the Phil Collins version by a mile! I'd rather hear the Funk Bros, and Flo and Mary's backing vocals than his 'rendition'.

Can you post "Stop In The Name Of Love", oh pretty please?

  • This song is awesome when they sing to it. But it is also incredible as an instrumental. Great music of lost days!

  • hi, I have a question. Is it possible to send me this song?? I need the instrumental version for my sisters party.

    I would really appreciate it

  • There are methods for acquiring the soundtrack from the clip, but YouTube would rather we didn't do such things. Copyrights and all, you know.

  • It's the James Jamerson Show! My goodness his bass was prominent

  • Just as Diane's voice was overdubbed on such recordings as "You Keep Me Hangin' on," Mary and Flo's voices were overdubbed on ocassion as well. That's the beauty of the recording studio........you can do creative things!

  • I'm asking myself why anybody here's discussing about Diana, Mary and Florence. I thought this music was about the Funk Brothers.

I would rather say that anybody could have sung this song, it would've been a hit anyway, just as it is with all the other motown hits, it's all about the funk brothers.

  • It's all about the right song for the right voices at the right time.

But I do agree that the Funk Bros totally rock ... but I don't think I would have had a hit if I were singing it ... to be honest with you.

    xo

  • at 0:13 diana is anything but pretty lets all be real now shall we.

  • Soooooooo true .

  • sounds like more than two voices.

  • Thanks for posting! This is perfect!

  • freeek04 yes your right.

  • at 135, who is with mary, florence, and diana? the one sitting.

  • It was a model I forgot her name I think something french she was a mate of diane =D

  • oceanbound222 stooges? STOOGES!? i spit on your comment, florence and Mary didn't sleep with there boss so they were pushed in to the background while that slut (and your lover) diana ross gave the best bj's to berry that she got pushed and pushed forward.

  • ignore him. He's a troll out on a rampage to harass anyone who DARES to showcase anything that doesn't feature the Skinny one.

  • 0:29 diana looks like a daemon.

  • This is a beautiful thing you posted with the backing track and the amazing bass playing and the fantastic backing vocals. But listen, DREAMGIRLS was not "reality" -- Diana Ross was a great, great singer and you do her a disservice to mock her and make her seem like she didn't deserve her success. She's as much the "spirit of the Supremes" as anyone else.

  • thank you so much for posting this! sing it, Mary & Flo!!!!

  • Great post Sanfordway. I love Mary Wilson and Florence Ballad, the Supremes, the Funk Bros. and Detroit! If you have more, would love to hear these gems!!!! Thanks.

  • miss piggy ??? can't you guess ??? who's missing from this record ??? yes ! that old slapper 'edna ross' of course !!!!

  • love it ! love it ! love it ! the best version i've ever heard - miss piggy should have been late more often - the girls have never sounded better.

please can we have many more like this Sandfordway, my thanks in advance.

  • hey honey thx a lot for this instrumental =)

I love the funk brothers instrumentals!

    5*

  • Stooges my a?se. Mary and Flo. didn't sleep with the boss so they had to remain in the background, Second fiddles to a t?rt.

  • i couldn't have put it better myself !
