Hi Friends, i just discovered benefits of this tree today, however I was familiar with this tree for many many years. Not because it DOESN'T work...NOT because it doesn't do what those who have tried it say it can do but, because you've already made it up in your mind that it may be a " fad." That's the quickest way to lose out on something that will be beneficial to your overall health and well-being. So I repeat: Don't even try it if you've made up your mind its another, as you say, "fad."

As a Canadian who grew up in the Visayas region of the Philippines where this tree is super abundant and used daily, this tree is a miracle tree! I was lucky to grow up in a small village in the Philippines. We had our own Moringa tree in our lawn, we would hand it out to passerbys who wanted some. simple growing moringa...just cut a branch of moringa either big (3 feet above) or small(1 feet to 2 feet) then plant it in the soil...thats it it will grow easily rather than buying a seed....it take too much time if u grow it by seed......

My seeds sprouted in 3 weeks. Put them on wet cotton wool, in a plastic ziploc bag and put somewhere warm. I put my mine on top of the charger of my laptop because it provides some warmth.

@bluegama500 the seeds i got from ECHO farms in Florida had a VERY long germination time (almost 2 months) but once they got started they have grown beautifully and are extremely hardy trees...they even survived that horrible frost we had last year and I hadn't even covered them....good luck!

This tree is very popular in Visayas Region in the Philippines.The leaves and flowers are being mixed in the dishes as food and it is very nutritious. There is a saying inCebu, during typhoon, that it is better the house would collapsed but not the "malunggay". That is why people in Visayas are healthy and strong..Besides, it is also used to dress wounds and other diseases...very useful tree, a miracle tree..
