  • Very sweet! The scenics look superb. I use Woodlands Scenics on my projects, and I think they're excellent. They've certainly turned me from being a mediocre modeller when it comes to scenics into one who's now pretty good.

  • what about the underlay of the track? what do you use? cork or trackrite? cheers

  • @mjtunstall1976 It's cork.

  • is the track 7 1/2 inch radius? if so that would work on my small n sclae track plan!!!

  • @mjtunstall1976 Yes it is. If you use flex track like I did, be careful with the rail joiners. It's tricky to get them lined up with a small radius.

  • that look likes HO

  • @ksharkey1000 It really is N scale. The track is a 7 1/2" radius.

  • what comes around, goes around ! lol

  • @geoffcarter1212 True! Thanks for watching.

  • many cool things about small layouts like this... one its portable.. two wirings a breeze, and much easier to repair than a large layout with 250 million wires.. three, it looks great! nothing looks bad about it great simple scenery.. and four, its CHEAP! u dont pay a fortune! im making an HO small layout right now, i already have an o scale layout so im starting a more portable HO set.. looking cool buying lots of cool stuff from ebay, just made myself a bridge, gotta make some fence and tunnel

  • Thanks for your kind words. I spent a lot of time planning my "dream" layout, and never got anything built. Finally figured out that small railroads can be fun, too.

I wish you well on your HO layout. Please post a video when you get it up and running.

  • thanks cant wait until my buildings come in, im making more of a city theme.. I hope it works out, i'l make a video of it when it all works out. right now the track works fine and the train works better than ever.. i am very suprised because i actually got a little low on space with the size of the board i had and had to expand it with more plywood. track is very smooth tho over the binding of the two pieces of wood. i just got a cool grociery store very detailed it will look cool, il make a vid

  • if your thinking of making your own n gauge train set they can be pretty expensive i mean not as bad as OO but for good n gauge locos your looking to pay 40-150 pounds n each individual peice of track can be from £1 to £7 maybe more n then coaches n wagons from £2 to £20 each n buildings £5 upwards

  • Great Job on that

  • wow there nice can u give me some tips on n gauge cos soon i will have one and i want a big one ! 5*

  • Thanks! As for tips on N gauge, here are my thoughts:

    * Good trackwork is essential. Although I used railcraft code 70 on this layout, I prefer to use Kato Unitrack for reliability and ease of construction.

    * You may want to start with a small layout like this to get the feel of working in N scale before you start on the big one. You can even incorporate all or part of the small layout into the big one.

    And most importantly:

*Don't be afraid to make mistakes.

  • cool i might get a graham farish class 37 set u should have a look at it ! it only has a circle so i will build onto that

  • I'll take a look at it. Sounds like it has some good potential.

  • and it's ded cheep

  • Even better!

  • haha nice video

  • Thanks!

  • It just proves that saying that I don't have space for a layout is a really bad excuse.

  • Thanks!

  • Very cool... If you sold this as an xmas theme you could make a mint during the holidays ;)

  • Thanks! These pizza-style layouts are simple, quick and a lot of fun. I have considered making a Christmas layout. Hmmm, maybe this Christmas... ;)

  • well this is dumb

  • Perhaps. But it keeps the train crew happy. ;)

    Thanks for watching.
