Plus NO ONE couple can make or break a show. It is the STORIES that CAN make or break a show.
But if you want to say it's a couple thing then go back and look at the rating when Jasam was together, it was higher then it was when they broke them up, and put Jiz on our screen. They had to destroy three couples to make Jiz.

Brenda? The closest they came to love was making out on the beach after the prom...She explained they were just friends, nothing more. He married her because of health issues and she knew he would make the right decisions for her care.
Courtney? Another babysitting job--Watch my sister strip and keep her safe.
Don't get me wrong, I love the partnership of JaSam. They make a great team.
Jason already explained that he wasn't drunk with Liz so that's not even a factor.
Liason is my first choice and JaSam is second. If the writers can make it work, more power to them. If not, let it go and let Jason move on--even if it's not with Liz. He deserves love.

@atwig5695 i know this comment was posted over a year ago but i just started watching partygrils04 posting for my jasam weekend fix. i have been watching gh for over 20yrs and i was once a big liason fan after robin and jj lucky left gh. then i had to watch jason fall in love with courtney and since i did not like her i was still hoping for a liason relationship and not reunion, bcuz there was never a lovestory/relationship for a reunion. the history of jason/liz is when lucky "died"..cont below

i don't know what world ur living in atwig5695 but liz and jason broke up along time ago cause she couldn't handle the danger. jason never baby sat sam or countey. jason fell in love with countey and chose her over his job. i don't think that just being a good babysitter. and yeah he let sam stay w/ him as a favor to sonny but than he began to care for her and soon fall in love with her.
who said anything about feelings. maybe if your comments didn't seem to anti-jasam or anti-jason with anyone other than liz people wouldn't want to comment back saying jasam is better than liason. no one cares how liason relationship started because we love jasam not liason. we want jasam back together not liason.

Even Steve said in an interview that they (the writers) have to take the reunion slow for the fans to believe it. That to rush right into it would make them question Jason's anger toward Sam and that they need to build their trust first.

You do realize that I'm not trying to hurt your feelings or anything. I'm trying to give my opinion as kindly as I can.
IceylilAngel, all I meant was both Sam and Courtney 'began' as a favor for Sonny. They all fell in love in their own right.
Liz and Jason began with friendship, no one 'put' them together.
I remember when Jason lived above Jakes, and how exasperating it was to watch Liz make one poor choice after another.
But if the writers can make it believeable-Jason/Sam could work!
