@SamLamberts um if you got it from a pawn shop you got a bad sax. If you got it from a reliable store then maybe your not doing something right with the mouthpiece or reed.
People in the comments are retarded he never said consert c scale, he just said c scale although that normally wouldn't be spesific we know that he is just talking about the alto sax so it is correct
okay first of all i really appraciate your effort but damnt it....i am an absolute novice and i wanna learn how play this damn thing:D and youre going so FAST dude, yep its the easiest scale u can ever play ..but I wanna know which fingers youre holding...so i better find a better video...?
My goodness... u know, Instead being offensive with your comments, u could be much nice with your tone in effort to help instead of dishonoring his efforts to teach freely. Some people actually pay for worse teachers without being aware...
@woutanh2 Of course. It is good work to put out videos to help whoever will find it helpful. If anyone doesn't find it helpful, it is only courteous to ignore the video. It takes some good effort to put up these videos
Yes, however- as a music educator and professional saxophonist, I feel as though mis-information should NOT be ignored. Rather, to ignore poor teaching and modeling skills would be discourteous to those learning the instrument.
My advice? Find a reputable saxophone teacher, and take lessons. Videos are not an adequate replacement for a real teacher, and poor quality videos are even less so.
Piano and Saxophone are not in the same key. A saxophone is 3 half-steps below concert pitch. Meaning if you play a D# on a piano, you would have to play a C on an alto sax to match the pitch. So D# = C
I want a saxophone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uh, no?
D# = Eb.
InverseSun 2 years ago 11
How can D# be C? If I look at a piano the D# scale is D#, not C. D#=3 accidentals, no?

@zeffy00 C is the same as A minor... D# minor would be for F# major...
